Suzanne - great news that Mike is home.
Brenda - what a nice story about how you and your hubby met. I have no doubt that there are some happy endings and pleased your experience was one of them.
Rolanda - takes away the surprise, doesn't it, knowing that it's a boy already. Or I think so, anyway. Having said that, when my daughter was having her second child, she was desperate for a girl but her husband didn't want to know. She asked anyway and told only me, so for 5 months she and I had to keep this hugely happy secret that it was a girl, and she (Madeline) was never a disappointment, even if I knew she was a girl all along.

Heidi - I thought that too that she is probably scamming others and may have been caught out.
He didn't tell her where he lived but he did tell her where he worked and (worse) his girl's names and ages.
If she rings him again, she'll face a barrage of questions!

Hi all. Just stopping in for a minute. I need to go to bed early as I am going on another field trip tomorrow. I have to be at school at 5:00am to get on the bus. We are taking 100 6th grade students to Universal's Islands of Adventure. It is near Disney, approximately 4 hours away. We should be home between 10 and 11 pm. It is a long day but worth it. The kids have a blast and I get paid to go on roller coasters.

I love roller coasters. I don't like rides that go in circles. I am not looking forward to a 4 hour bus ride but at least I won't be in school.

Just dropping in to say hello. Worked the polls and had a long day, so had to recover from that. Did a little planting and getting ready to go away for the weekend to celebrate my birthday...
Got to read all and am glad that your son is aware of what this lady may have been planning. Brenda, glad you had a good catch from the net...there are all kinds and it takes time and caution to get to the right one.
Rola, your hair sounds bootiful!!!
Heidi, glad work is progressing..I'm busy listening to your new Senator wannabe from Ky spout some gosh awful stuff...where did you guys find him??? Lol...Takes all kinds doesn't it?
Suzanne, glad Doc is home safe and sound...That's about all that I can recall for now...May get a chance to drop by again before I go away...Just going to Atlantic City and meet up with family and check out the casino scene for a day or two...wish me luck...I could use some since I'm not a true gambler...Just use a certain amount that wont break the bank if lost, but would love to increase it and come home a little flush! See ya when I see ya. Have a great day, weekend, etc... do something that makes you happy. Peace.

Good maeN everyone! I am glad to have so many people who care about me (and my friends) as much as you folks do!! You are all loved in my book. Any prayer requests, good thoughts/vibes that are needed I am HAPPY to give them! I will tell Mike when I see him tomorrow nite! Can't wait to see him!! he is very important to us, but especially to me, he was a great asset to me when Darrell was in school for the Air National Guard. His unit's homecoming was on our local news today, tried to spot him (amongst all the camouflage there) and couldn't see him. I am a pretty good speller, BUT I had to look up camouflage!!! TEE HEE

I didn't vote for the idiot, Mamacita. Kentucky has a long history of electing the worst possible candidates. Look at Mitch McConnell, for example.

Friends, I am very upset and worried about a friend, Sue. whatta ya do when your upset and need comfort? come share with you all, that's what.

Sue will have her leg amputated above the knee tomorrow. Friday. it is unclear from message if this is additional loss to leg that had a below knee amputation 7 years ago, or her good leg. Any spare thoughts and prayers would be appreciated, Sue has been through so much and is the sweetest person you could ever meet.

Is this from diabetes, MizT? She has my deepest sympathy. Fortunately, these days prosthetics are amazing. A friend of mine in New Jersey lost both of her feet to diabetes, and is a lot more comfy since. She had been in agony before the amputations, and gets along comfortably on her prosthetics now. Talk to Debby from Michigan, too. She lost a leg to cancer many years ago, and has the coolest computerized leg now. She showed it to me. If she hadn't told me about the prosthetic, I wouldn't have even guessed.

Hello, Everybody! So glad to see you!

Hi, Suzy, Gail, June, Theresa, Heidi, Brenda,MizTricia, Nola, Tami the T, CynB, Victoria, and Rolanda.

Suzy, I can understand why the girls are interested in the Northridge earthquake! I can't imagine going through that! We have only experienced the occasional little-bitty one that some people don't even feel because it's so far away.

Gail, I'm glad Hannah didn't have to watch the car be towed away, and also glad that she drove again so soon after. Crossing fingers that the car repairs can be done quickly and without too much of an assault on the pocketbook! IT IS WHAT IT IS!

June, so glad your hubby is home once again! I hope you can both relax! That's quite a picture you painted of Laura and the bright red lipstick. I hope she was able to get most of it off! It's so hard not to laugh in such a situation!

Theresa, I'm so glad you and your sisters enjoyed your day together. It's too bad it was hard on your back. I hope you are rested and recovered! I hope the dog you saw isn't being abused and that someone can give the owner some pointers on training it!

Heidi, I had only read about the reblooming lilac and hadn't even had a chance to google it. Now you have piqued my interest. Let us know when you get yours! Hopefully it fulfills its promise and is not just hype! How is the barn raising going?

Brenda, I hope your back is feeling better! Sitting in the garden in the warm sun sounds wonderful!

Heidi, I'm sorry to hear that a mistake was made when the trusses were set. Pulling nails and repositioning the trusses sounds like quite a job. Apparently it will be attempted again on another day. Hoping it will go well then!

Nola, you are so busy with your on-line course and work and juggling time! I hope you enjoy the visit to your brother!

CynB, here's hoping your son will find a wonderful person through "normal" channels. I certainly understand your concern!

Rolanda, that seemed like excellent advice for Cyn! I guess the country code only comes up of the phone is registered in that country, not if someone is traveling.

Cyn, I hope you can find a way to convince your son to tread lightly! There are some amazing scams going on! You might even use a little help from Mr. Google to search for similar stories. They are sometimes reported and picked up for all the world to see! Wishing yo luck!

Gail, enjoy the weekend and your guests! We will miss you!

Now I'm caught up to page 214. Just 2 pages to go, but it's nearly 12:30 a.m.

I apparently never got here yesterday. This has been a busy week for us. Hubby and I have had several doctor appointments, including the squishy thingy - and another tomorrow (the surgeon who did my knees). This afternoon we took the cats to a different vet, who seems very nice and also does dog and cat rescue. We're about 3 months late for their annual check-ups - just couldn't squeeze it in when it was due. Next week hubby and I both have ou

We're about 3 months late for their annual check-ups - just couldn't squeeze it in when it was due. Next week hubby and I both have our regular dental hygiene & check-ups. Then we should be good to go for a while.

Happy 10th. Birthday to Hayley. I am pleased you have been able to have a visit with her today Cyn. Things are looking better for your son. just hope the one on the broom stick does not try to contact him again.
MizT, Good vibes for your friend Sue. I hope this op is on the same leg. Would be much better for her I would think.

I have been out for a nice lunch with friends (ex work mates and one was having a 70th. birthday).
Tonight I am doing a 'ghost' tour with Sharon and a group of 'Scout Leaders'. We are going to Old Government House in Parramatta. Part built in 1799 and extended 1814 to 1818. The oldest Public building still standing in Australia. I will be taking a small torch so I can see where I am putting my feet as I do not want to stumble!!

Evening all!
Happy Birthday Hayley! I'm so glad you got to see her today Cyn!!

MizT, sending SA vibes, thoughts and wishes out to your friend Sue. Heidi is right about prosthetics and I hope there is something available for Sue that will help her.

Broni, I miss you but I am very very happy for you that your life seems to be coming together. So long as you drop in sometimes anyway...

June, that ghost tour sounds like fun! And I loved your 'one on the broomstick' comment.

Julie, squishy test, hmmm, one day I will work up the courage! I was terrified during the quake, even though we were far enough away to have minimal damage. The sight of the TV sitting in the middle of the bed we had been sleeping in is still with me!

Gail, miss you already!

Brenda, your courtship story is lovely. So romantic! I think I've told mine here before so I won't bore everyone...

Sleep well everyone!

I called hubby at work today and told him that I was going to call the ex and invite him over because it was very nice having hubby a teeny bit jealous and extra attentive last night. He has come home with a noice bottle of wine for us!

I had another bad night, but at least it was the last one on these antibiotics. Unfortunately, I'm also having a Gout attack. Walking, and even not walking, is quite unpleasant.

Hi All,
Heidi, sounds as if you are coming down with something again...take it as easy as possible...easier said then done. I've been wondering about Ouima, the horse...haven't heard much recently...you've had such bad luck I'm a bit afraid to ask. BTW..I had to laugh at the thought of you voting for the current reps in your current state, I know you a little better than that I think. All states seem to get some doozies, but this year its Ky's turn again.

Heidi, hope you feel better soon.

good to see Gail drop in, and just after her name was mentioned.

June, hope you have/had fun on the ghost tour.

Suzy, your courtship story would not bore us. I do not remember all the details,

I really had a good night, slept in, was 10:30 when I woke. Some time in the night, hand stopped hurting. How nice it was to wake with no pain.

T storms this morning kept me off puter till now, our third wave. First one, yesterday dinner time, straight line winds did some damage just 20 miles north of us. trees down, 40,000 without power, and a roof blown off an apartment complex building. Other minor structural damage. Not that bad here, thankfully.

my house smells good. Al helped me nix a low cal pumpkin pie, and get potatoes ready to bake. the pie is what smells so good! Tonight's menu is Hamburger steak, baked tater and garden salad. Can you guess what is for desert??

Hugs to all, need to check the oven. Boy wish I could share the lovely aroma.

Miz T, sending thoughts and prayers for your friend Sue. Hope all goes well and she will not have to undergo any more surgeries like this, but they are making good progress in today's prosthetics. Please let us know how she gets along.

Julie, thanks so much for giving us a glimpse of your very busy days...hope life slows down just a bit for you and hubby. It's so tiring going back and forth to different doctors... hopefully all of the reports will be good.

Suzy...Stop flirting just to keep hubby jealous...he might try and repay you in kind...lol! I can hear the stories now.... lol.....oh the thought of it is funny ...to me!

Thoughts and prayers for all of us...they are always needed for strength and thanks. Peace.

Heidi, fantastic news!!

Mamacita, it's so funny, I got an evil look from my next door neighbour yesterday. He must have seen my ex and thinks I'm having a fling!

MizT, what seasoning do you put in your pumpkin pie? I remember there was something in the ones my SIL used to make that made them unappealing to me, but I can't remember what it was.

Broni, take care cutting down the tree today!

Good morning all
Heidi - so happy to hear Doc is out of hospital!
MizT - pumpkin pie - yum! Although it's not traditional or even made or offered much here, my sister makes a yummy one.
Viv - nice to see you passing through.
Mamacita - glad to know the Ouima the horse is doing well at Heidi's.
Next door is having a garage sale this morning and all the dogs in the neighbourhood, led by Jewel, are barking at anything that moves!! So annoying - I'm off to threaten Jewel - not that she takes the slightest notice of me!!!
