we have gloomy also, hope the rain holds off, I do not like driving in the rain. About to launch here, and Julie, this mamo place is gentle, do not squish ya to the point of tears.

hand seems less achey today, I forget if yesterday started as well.

Timer says time to go, and YEAH I typed this with 2 hands, using splint!! Doing little bit every day, as part of my finger exercise. but this is my limit today. It is progress right??

NOT getting hay moved. IH swore that he ordered more diesel for the tractor several days ago, but it hasn't been delivered. So until I have some fuel for the tank, I can't use the tractor.

home again, this was an easy trip. Would you believe I was finished and to my car 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment? No line, no waiting. Parking place was available right
near door, gentlest squish ever, the t-storm approaching dissipated for getting to me. Wonderful day, and my hand was not hurting! can't get much better than this.

Robert ran out and got me 5 gallons of diesel for my tractor. It was enough to do the job. I got the last of the hay under cover just as the sky opened up. There wasn't a whole lot to move. Only 45 rolls or so.

I finished placement last night and have all the evidence signed off that had to be done.It was a very different work experience there, all very nice but I will be glad to get back to familiarity starting Sun afternoon.
I still haven't done any more on the last assignment, putting it off as it is a hard one. Now going to have to make a move.
I will send thank you messages for the birthday wishes soon. You all made my day very special.
My sister is up from the Gold Coast so I had better tidy the house in case she drops in.If I am quick enough though I could go to visit her where she is staying at Judy's.
Catch you all later.

Hello, Everyone! Just popping in without reading. Here is a bit of news for all those who can't be parted from their Crocs:

Boy saved by his croc shoes. A 3-year-old British boy escaped being seriously hurt when he was electrocuted by a faulty hair dryer - thanks to his plastic Crocs shoes.
Harley Sutton-Dormer was in a swimming pool changing room at Belhus Park Leisure Center with his mom when he picked up the dryer, sending electricity into his small body.

His mother Danielle Sutton told news.com.au: "A blue bolt went down his arm and out his side. He was screaming in agony." She stated that nearly all of the boy's clothing was "charred" by the current, with the exception of his blue plastic Crocs.

Harley reportedly did suffer some minor burns from the shock

"The paramedic said the Crocs stopped it coming out of his feet and probably saved him from serious injury," Sutton said.

Good Late Afternoon, Everyone!

Hi, Suzy, Heidi, Gail, Rolanda, Broni, June, V Viv, MizTricia, Theresa, Nola, and anyone else reading this page!

Well, I didn't listen to the song Ally learned. So sorry the lyrics banned you for a while, Suzy. Gail, thank you for letting us know.

Heidi, I hope the 2 new collies fit in well with your others and are as sweet as reported!

Suzy, quite a song for a 13-year-old to sing. Back around the time when I was that age, we learned "Where have all the flowers gone?" and some people thought that wasn't appropriate for children.

Broni, it's so nice having you here for more than a comment or two! Yep, I bet you're looking forward to July 1! What a busy bee you are!

June, what a shame your MIL wasn't up to going out to lunch on her birthday, but the family gathering on Sunday should be nice. I like your trick for cutting all those onions! I bet the potatoes smell yummy as you reheat them! That's a LOT of rain for over-night! Hoping your friend will get the wished-for results on Monday! Continued prayers and positive vibes headed your way!

Viv, homemade soup and chicken on a rainy day sounds perfect! Good day for a TOPP!

Heidi, I hope the hay-moving goes well and the rain avoids your area! Great progress typing with 2 hands! Great news that the rain avoided you as you went for your appointment! Glad to hear they are gentle there!

Oh, Heidi, IH strikes again! Good on Robert for getting you some fuel and great job getting all the hay in the new barn before the deluge! WOO HOO for second generation of Gouldian finches born at Surreal Farm!

Nola, congratulations for finishing placement! I can understand, though, that it will be nice to get back to the familiar on Sunday! Don't put off the last assignment too long. Perhaps it won't be as hard as you expect! Have a nice visit with your sister! And, there's NO need to send a personal thank you to me for birthday wishes! You have already thanked us on the page. (Plus, it will make me feel even more guilty for not doing thank yous, as I was in the rehab hospital on my birthday and didn't even see November comments here or emails until several weeks later.)

All the best to everyone! I may start flinging some food - fresh asparagus, for sure. Hope to be back later!

I'm here briefly. I hope everyone is well... I've missed 8 pages, sorry. Mom & Dad came in late Wednesday night. Took them to Park City's Historic Main Street. There are beautiful shops & art galleries up there. Gorgeous weather, mom wishes she had brought shorts, but weather here is VERY unpredictable. Took them to the main Mormon Temple in SLC...There are young people there all day giving free tours. It was BEAUTIFUL & very breathtaking. Had lunch in SLC, dinner here at a restaurant near home tonite. Tomorrow going to Hill Air Force Base (Darrell needs new work boots--we get them there). Not sure what we're doing Sunday yet. Probably just hanging around. They fly back Monday morning. Going to sign off for now, TTFN everyone. Will try to pop in later.

Hi all.
Tricia, glad the day went well for you and you are making progress. Just try not to do to much at once.
Someone asked about summer break. I work as a camp counselor over the summer. The extra money comes in handy and it keeps me busy. Summer break is usually about 9 weeks. It is a week longer for the kids. Teachers go back a week early to classrooms set up. Will be taking a training class first 3 days of summer, just before camp starts.
I have read but don't remember much. Field day was a lot of fun. I was in charge of water balloons and then the dunk tank. A few teachers went in (not me) and then a few students. It was fun watching a few of my PITA's getting dunked. I am going to bed soon, will be back tomorrow.

Morning all! (Just)
I have been up but life is busy here at the moment.

Nola, congratulations! How many placements will you have to do throughout the course? I got a call from a friend yesterday who is studying nursing - I'm not sure at what level. she said she had a chemistry question for me - molar solutions. Thankfully it wasn't a hard one or that would have been embarrassing!!!

I agree about that song for Ally. I've asked her if she knows what it means etc. She understands the references but I'm not sure if she understands the emotions behind them.

Oops, ran out of time.... catch ya later!

Good morning all - I'm glad no-one else could open Tami's 'more' - I was getting so frustrated with my pooter.
MizT - glad your day went well.
Heidi - I'm so interested in those finches, second generation Surreal! Wow!
Interesting hypothetical questions by Deb on Easy - think they start on page 2.

It's nearly 11 p.m., and I am finally back for a few minutes.

Hi, Suzanne, Broni, Tami, Gail, Heidi, Suzy and CynB!

Suzanne, I'm so sorry I missed you! You are really busy giving your parents a great tour of the area! I hope they are enjoying it!

Good early afternoon to Broni, Gail, Suzy and CynB!

What a relief that others couldn't open the rest of Tami's comment by clicking on "More." I was really getting frustrated and wondered what was wrong with my computer or mouse. We're sorry we didn't get to read the end of your post, Tami!

Gosh, Suzy, I'm glad that question about molar solutions was easy! Is there an easy answer that would help those of us who have no idea? At least I understand the song lyrics. (I agree - quite heavy for a young lady like Ally!

Cyn, I'm off to Easy to read Deb's questions.

Not sure if I'll be back, so, just in case, I'll say G'Day and Good Night to everyone!

NOLA, surgery was 6 weeks ago yesterday. If you thought it seemed ages ago, you should have been on this side! I like your reasoning, go visit sis fore she drops in, clean later hehe congrats on finishing your placement, another milestone ticked off. Get started on that difficult assignment, I find once started, most go easier than expected.

Julie, thanks for another good reason for wearing my crocs. I am not wearing them as much summertime now, since my feet are better after wearing them exclusively for 18 months. But winter will find me wearing them again. they keep my feet so nice and warm.

Suzanne, sounds like you and parents are having a grand time. Lots of sight seeing for sure. Enjoy their visit.

Nor would it open for me. Tami, what is the password?? hehehe

Suzy, glad you could pop in for a bit. Enjoy your visit with your Mom.

time for bed now, hugs to all.

Broni, sorry to hear you lost breakfast, but I do like the sound of sitting in the sun for a good read.

Viv, was there flooding with that much rain? We usually get some flash flooding in urban areas, or creeks out of banks in rural if it rains that much. Glad you had a sunny day.

OK enough finger exercise for now, can't over do today. but it is so nice to type a bit

Not many posts overnight. Hours between some posts. I imagine most have weekend plans. Isn't this Rolanda's long weekend outing with friends??

No plans for today here, just some stuff to do. The sloshy thing is purring away, it is sunny for hanging out today, just watch for pop up T storms. Should make it a gnikooc morning, too, if we want to eat.

More later. Hugs to all.
