Morning all, sleep escapes me again!

I too am a bit of a hoarder. To do any effective cleaning up, I have to be in the mood to toss, toss, toss. If I'm not in that mood, things just get moved from one box to another. Sigh.

MizT, good luck for today and the appointments. I will be thinking of you during this busy week!

Coffee is ready if anyone wants some.

I will take a cup, Miz Tricia. I take it black. Thank you for the difference between jam and jelly. I did not know that.
My hubby would say I am a hoarder, but I don't think I am that bad. I go on a rampage every few years and throw out bunches of stuff. My friend helps me with my closet as she gets the hand-me-downs.

I will put my hand up as another hoarder, from a long line of hoarders! As well as furniture and ornaments I have letters, post cards etc kept by the family for over 100 years.
great game of bowls, even if we had to leave the green for half hour as a storm went through. i have then had some friends to dinner.
Worked on the front garden and removed some plants that I put in when Vici was in Sydney. They were well past their used by date.

Hi all. I'm waiting for the Doctor's office to call me back. I talked to the nurse who said that I should have gone to the ER immediately for a CAT scan of my brain, to see if I was bleeding. I told her I had been alone that night, and wasn't up to driving. Calling an ambulance here means they'd take me to Hardin Malpractice, and I'd only go there if I was already dead. I explained that I hadn't lost consciousness, had no vision problems nor memory problems. She said that she thinks that I still need to have that CAT scan (I need to have my head examined) and is going to talk to the Doctor and call me back.

Morning all,
Positive thinking - Gail, you will get the stuff in the dining room sorted and the room of denial and every other room will stay tidy along the way!

Brenda, I sympathise with your washing machine problem! In the 3 or 4 days until I could replace my dead one I collected about 7 loads!! I hope the repairmen come quickly.

Heidi, hopefully the cat scan will show that your brain is present and in working order...
I should say I'm positive it will!

June, thinking of your friend...

I AM HOME!!!
I took myself to the ER like a good girl. The doc did an exam (My left eye is now wandering off to the left. This is new. ) and he quickly found the sore lump on my head. So he had a CT scan done, with great results. No bleeding, no fracture. It's just a closed head trauma..... in other words, a big sore bump. I'm supposed to continue doing what I was doing: taking it easy and using ice packs when I feel like it. It'll get better with time.

Nola, I'm so glad your homes are not badly impacted! We were all thinking of you.

Heidi, I'm surprised that all is good with your eye drifting off to the left. Will that correct itself?

I've been told to see an ophthalmologist about that eye, but I think it may be just due to the swelling and bruising. To be on the safe side, I will make an appointment.

Heidi, I am glad that you are OK. Thank you for sending me an email this morning. I knew you were going to get checked and that made me feel better. I tried to check on the new doggie today. He was supposed to have surgery but the clinic did not answer the phone. I will call again tomorrow.

Good morning all!
I'm procrastinating (?) again. I have to leave the computer, shower and do some stuff. My pantry is still overflowing and I can't find anything in it. I have to remove everything and then put it all back. It's been like that since Aki came to live with us and bought all her food.

I'm going out today to collect the bookcase we bought yesterday. That will help relieve some of the paperwork that we keep stored in our walk in robe - and free up some shelves to store clothes instead.

I didn't tell you that my sister and partner took Mum home from the beach. They arrived to find that her fridge had died while she was away. Everything had gone off. Yuk, Yuk. They cleaned it out, took the fridge out of the house and organised a new fridge to be delivered yesterday. I was so happy that they took her home and not me.
We'll go up on Saturday and take her shopping and Kevin will try to sort out why her air-con is not working. Sometimes it doesn't rain but it pours.

Warning: swearing to follow

I have about 6 green bags of clothes to go to charity, but want to refresh them first. The pile of bags keeps getting bigger because the breaks between rainy days have only been long enough to get our clothes washed. Today I have decided to wash and hang out the charity clothes even though it looks like rain - I figure they will jsut get an extra 'refresh' if it does rain and we will get 6 bags of space in the back room.

I had better hang the clothes out.We have been using the carport line and during all the rain, some birds had found it a nice dry spot to roost.Had to rewash lots of things.

Bring on the good news and the good times.

I feel a tiny bit better today, so that's a step forward. The worst part is the exhaustion. It's 7:15 PM and I am going to go for a nap and hopefully it will last most of the night.

Take care everybody - Tami, can't wait to see pictures of the new family member.

Afternoon all, the swishy thing is still going. It has a 15 minute cycle and I just keep loading it up. I will have to stop soon though as the line is almost full. This machine, although supposedly the same size, hold so much less than my old top loader!!!

Greetings friends, thanks for all the well wishes for AL. He did not start the radiation again today, grrrrr. The machine is still not functional. He got chemo only today. His PICC line (peripherally inserted central catheter) had to be removed, his hand and arm were swelling. They will continue with just sticking once a week. NO pump came home with him today, he is glad that particular med is at such a reduced dose now, that is the one he thought gave him the most problems. We will see. So, no more trips this week, and they say the machine will be ready Monday. Treatment today took only 5 hours instead of the previous 9.

June thinking of your friend as she has another 2 weeks of treatment.

I am not a hoarder, I just married one. I can and do throw things way. I just own too much stuff!! When we clean and toss, it is always my stuff that gets thrown away.

Someone mentioned yesterday rearranging furniture as part of cleaning, didn't they? I have a former neighbor that did that, every 2 weeks, her house was torn apart, moved about, and cleaned. " How did you know it is clean if you do not move all the furniture?" she said.

Heidi, glad you have gone to have your head examined. Waiting for results as I read.

Theresa, I know what you mean missing your Mom. Perhaps if you did something special for you, to remember her birthday, change it to something to look forward to instead of dread?

OH SUZY, thanks for the update on the flooding. How scary for a town to be completely cut off like that. Our news last night showed a fly over of some of the areas, scary.

Heidi, glad you are home, and all is well, Much better to know for sure.

BEDTIME HERE< I read some of the posts, will catch up tomorrow, Hugs to all with extras.

Hello, Everyone!

Hi, Suzy, eaa, Gail, Theresa, Tami, June, Broni, Heidi, Nola and Vicki, as well as anyone I missed and those friends who weren't able to post today!

Suzy, $28 per hour? I have NEVER made that much, even with a Master's degree! I'm certainly glad she got her contact information updated so they could schedule her!

Seems like many of the Sudokuaholics are also hoarders to some extent. Maybe those of us who fit that description can make a resolution to eliminate at least one box-ful per month this year?

Thinking very positively for June's friend and Al - and all of their loved ones. May they and others facing similar ordeals find the strength to persevere and may the outcomes be positive! Hopefully next Christmas will see no one in treatment or facing treatment.

Also thinking very positively that this year might bring a healthy transplant for Gail's hubby!

June, so glad bowls went well, except for the weather-related break!

Theresa, I hope the day has gone well for you! Did you share any memories of your mom with you daughter or grandies? I hope you're feeling better today and were able to fit in a nap!

Thinking of the residents of Rockhampton and praying that there is no loss of life and water soon recedes! (Tami, my hubby has also been following the news and asking if any of my friends are affected by the flooding.)

Nola, I'm so glad to hear that Bundy is now in the clean-up phase! It's a lot of hard, back-breaking work, but at least it means that the danger has passed. All the best to you and your family!

Heidi, thank you for getting the CT scan and confirming that all is well, other than a big sore bump! We're so glad that it's nothing more and can be treated by taking it easy and applying ice packs as needed. (Aren't you glad that it's not calving season??

Vicki, good luck with the pantry re-arranging! Aren't you glad you weren't the one to take your Mum home from the beach? What a lot of work to clean it all out. Hopefully the restocking this weekend will be somewhat enjoyable! Good luck to Kevin in fixing your Mum's air con!

Tami, hope all goes well with bringing Harley/Lennon home! I hope he likes his crate/den and its cover!

Gail, Nola and Suzy, I'm all for a positive year!

Theresa, every little bit better is something to be happy about! I hope your nap turned into a good night's sleep!

Suzy, you and your hot swishy thing have been busy today! I hope it all dries well and takes up less room in the green bags so that it can be donated!

Hi, MizT! Thanks for popping in to update us! What a relief that today's chemo treatment "only" took 5 hours, instead of the previous 9! I hope the radiation machine will be properly installed and functional for next week.

What a great idea you gave to Theresa to help her not dread important days, like her Mom's birthday!

It's now past 11:30. As I didn't sleep well last night, I think I'm going to try to get to bed. positive thoughts, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and prayers for each of you and your family and friends who can use them! Good Night, Everyone!

My name is Broni, and I am a hoarder!
Although we did achieve lots in the last week.
Cleaned and de-cluttered the the kitchen bench and lower shelf.
Cleaned up all the palm fronds that had fallen, mowed the lawns, 16 catchers full of grass clippings and took it all to the tip (although with Sir Walter grass you would never have guessed it was done 5 days ago, it is now 6" long again.)
Finished pressure washing the boat pontoon and 3/4 the way through doing all the pathways around the house.
Opps and a good afternoon to you all!
