Off to see Mum again today.
We were supposed to have the ceiling insulation installed today but they begged off until next week. Bit annoyed but will forgive unless they do it again!!
Got a good deal, we paid $116 and the Govt pay the remaining $1600. If anyone's thinking about doing it, do it soon before they run out of money in the scheme.

Just stopped back in to say goodnight. I still have not even started packing. I guess I will bring the kids (and dog) to my parents tomorrow night and pack when I get home. If I don't get back tomorrow, have a great weekend and I will catch up next week.

Posting without reading....

Thank you thank you MizT. As soon as I saw your post this morning I shut everything down and ran another scan. Sure enough something got through both the resident shield and the scan I ran overnight...

My apologies to everyone who might have caught it off us!

I think it's my new meds. I just read the brochure that came with it. It's not codeine, it's hydrocodone. It has really knocked me for a loop. I'm sleeping most of the time, and seem kinda disoriented. But it IS helping the cough. That's the most important thing.

Ken got home OK. He got a taxi from the airport as he was tired. I was still monopolising the bathroom a bit so there was no way I could drive there. I seem to have really got over the bug today, but still eating light.
Ken brought back two lacquer ware plates that have a mosaic design done with broken bits of egg shell. They are done in a factory that employs disabled people to do the work. We visited one before that had them doing 'silk paintings' and we bought a couple.
He also bought a mahjong set but when I counted the pieces there were some missing. I suppose I can devise some sort of matching/counting game the grandkids can play with it.

Suzy, I did not get anything from you. Pleased you now have it sorted.
Sleep will be the best cure Heidi and pleased about the finches.
Safe travels Tami. have a great weekend. I am sure you will enjoy having the boys for the weekend Bobby.
We put bats in the roof when we built CynB, but it is a great opportunity and does make a difference, especially if you have AC.
I hope all with sore muscles are staring to relax. What fun you must all be having!
Greetings to everyone else. Thinking of you all.

I have just returned home after a longish expedition...
Went to a trade show and brought home some really cool bits and pieces... Bought a bag of 'Waterlogs'
Check them out on [video link here as well]
http://www.waterlog.com.au/
The glib gab of the Bean resulted in me getting them for better than wholesale price... I am planning on doing a lot of repotting and want to be able to put one in each pot... 1 log should supply the average water needs of a 1m plant for 3 months... I have a goody bag FULL of interesting stuff to read...

Hmmm... in case no one had guessed by now I am very passionate about horticulture, gardening, design...

It was an effort to struggle around the pavilion at the show grounds with all my aches and pains which happily have been well disguised by paracetamol. My back has been really good thank you Gail...

Dropped in on my MIL on the way home before stopping to buy dog food. I am trying to decide if I have any enthusiasm to get back outside today... I would really prefer to go to bed!

Hello all - had a fabulous day today - took a group of residents out for a BBQ lunch - we went to a place called Grants Park close to Gails place - well the bird life was great got so many great pics - of cockies - Galahs - rosellas - king Parrots - magpies - Kookaburras - waratah's - I think thats it
Tricia I think we were getting the same emails some hotmail addy with my email at the end and it kept repeating, so I tried to open it, got warnings from kaspersky that it was a Trojan, so swiftly deleted it. hopefully its gone now.
Hope your all well bye for now

Home for the evening! Yay!

June I'm glad Ken got okay. The plates sound lovely.

Bean, I'm too tired to learn anything new tonight. I'll have to look up waterlogs another time

Haven't heard from Nola or MizT, hope happy things are keeping them busy!

Ally and her group of singing friends are going to do a performance for a Camp Quality thing in October and are learning Hannah Montana songs to do for the kids.

Those waterlogs look great! I wish we had them here.

Suzy.... Hannah Montana??? Couldn't they find songs from someone with talent? Ummmmm... maybe not. They might have to go back several decades.

The Waterlogs are fascinating.
The wrap is completely biodegradable which is good. They don't absorb water like the absorbing granules do all tho that is sorta what it feels like.

The Chinese Army originally used the technology Waterlog is made from for survival. They would carry the waterlog tubes and use for hydration. I haven't watched the video yet... I also haven't tried one for taste/sensation yet... probably will next time I open one.

Heidi, kids like HM, so they sing HM for kids. Ally is also singing a Queen song which is my era, I even saw them live. I bet my Mum thinks Queen sucks big time!

You actually saw Queen live????? With the incomparable Freddie Mercury???? I am awestruck! But I don't think anyone else can sing Queen songs. They require Freddie's 4 octave range and perfect pitch.

I'm ecstatic! There is another nest full of eggs due to hatch any day now, and birds laying in 2 nests now. I'm SO glad that I have plenty of cages. I won't sell any babies until they're at least 4 months old. That's when they start getting their adult colors, so I can tell if they're male or female. I want to keep most, if not all females.

Morning all!

Heidi, my eyes did open very wide with shock when I heard Ally singing the Queen song. Ally as Freddy Mercury???? It wasn't one of his tougher ones though, only We Will Rock You (I think). They were brilliant live! Great news about the finches!!!

Sorry Vici! I think I killed it! I ran the scan twice to make sure. Let me know if it comes back please... I hope Mike follows your pattern and is on the mend soon.
