I love cream too Judy but find if I have too much these days gives me a tummy ache. I grew up on a dairy farm and during the war years we made our own butter. The cream was sooooooo thick! (and I still have the separater!)

Nope, not this time! My hubby is listening to / watching a music video. The boys (er, young men!)have gone into the dining room and are playing electric guitar, piano and accordian (though not all at once). No TV for me tonight! Still, I like to hear them being creative!

Before I hit the sack here just wanted to let you all know that my niece,Kim, had the baby at about 8.30pm tonight. A caesar of course.
Baby weighs 1kg and is very strong they told her.
She had not seen the baby when she sent us a text at about 10.30pm but her partner sent us a pic. She was understandably very tired.
Apparently I will find out bubbies name when Kim herself can ring me to let me know.

Another bitter cold morning below zero(fahrenheit)! It's supposed to get warmer tomorrow, up to the teens, but with snow. Hopefully it won't come until later because we're seeing Bryana tomorrow for her 16th birthday. She is excited that we are coming. I should have asked people to send her cards since we're going to be there, she won't get any.

Ian has his first track meet today. He missed the first 6 weeks of track because of his foot. I don't think he's ready to compete because he's never done it before. It should be interesting.

All. Have to leave for the Vet's in 30 minutes. One of the dogs (Missy) is injured, a nasty bite wound on the butt. It took me quite a while to get the bleeding stopped last night.

Heidi, you must have a very close relationship with the Vet with all those animals. Hope Missy is OK.
Liz, enjoy your high tea at the Windsor.(it is a very old and POSH hotel in Melbourne. THE place to stay and be seen)
Viv, hope all goes well for your Neice and her baby.

One of the other dogs bit her pretty seriously. She has a big hole in her hip that's still oozing blood and a little pus already. She's now on antibiotics and ointments. And the hip was shaved (mostly by me to try to stop the more serious bleeding last night). She is not feeling very good right now.

HEIDI, Poor doggie, did Missy need sutures? I hope she improves quickly. Will you have to separate her from the rest till she recovers some?
My My, the morning seems to fly by when you sleep till 10 am! I was so surprised to find it was that late! Al and I made a really big breakfast, lots of scrambled eggs, grits, toast and fruit. It will serve as brunch since it was noon when we ate, and later I imagine we will have 'lupper' hehehe.
I am away to find something constructive to do with what is left of today. I have cubed venison (NOT mince but mechanically tenderized steaks, like you would get if you pounded your steaks with a mallet) that should be cooked. I can do that.
Hugs to all.

Morning all!
Viv, sending thoughts and wishes to your niece and your teeny tiny great niece (I guess from the pink hearts it is a great niece and not a nephew?).
Heidi, sending doggy hugs to Missy. Bad dog who bit her!!

I told you that we went to a birthday party at the beach yesterday - well I nagged my girls, 'you haven't put enough sun screen on your faces', and they rolled their eyes at me. I persisted, they put a grain-of-rice size bit more on. I reminded Ally that she couldn't afford to be sunburnt tomorrow (today now), she put on another grain-of-rice size bit. Needless to say they both have sunburnt faces! I'll be pulling out the green makeup to tone it down on Ally's face. When she is singing is the only time she's allowed to wear makeup...

The beach we went to yesterday was fantastic. The water was calm, I guess because of the natural rock outcroppings. You saw in the pictures how far out the girls were and they were still able to stand on the bottom!
