Hi again, Beth! Thanks for stopping by. Boiled peanuts, catfish and grits, yum! Can't get much more Southern than that! You lived in Annandale? Small world, I went to Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield (a looong time ago)I lived just a few blocks from the school.
This is a great site. It's so much fun posting back and forth to people all over the world. Introduce yourself on the EASY page and join in There is also the chat room, SA2, recipes, discussions, competitions, and, of course, visiting everyone's pages. We have so many excellent photographers here, you'll feel as though you've been on the trip of a lifetime!

Britt Festivals is at the Peter Britt Pavillion in Britt Gardens - Jacksonville, OR (near Medford). We have around 35 concerts each summer. The setting is beautiful - A redwood stage, some seating, but mostly bring a blanket, along with your picnic & beer and/or wine (only park in the state that allows BYOB - no Hard Liquor). Lay down on the hill under the trees and listen to the music. Capacity is 2200, a small venue - but intimate. I volunteer at about 30 concerts each season. We have Pop, Country, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Blue Grass, Dance - pretty much you name it. This weekend's line up shows some of the variety (classical Rock, Country, Pop & Jazz). The season is from 2nd Week of June to 2nd week of Sept. A lot of the artist like the venue and are becoming fixtures (eg: Hootie, Doobie Bro., Lyle Lovett, Chicago, etc.) These acts also schedule extra time here, to enjoy the surroundings (Rogue River - fishing/ white water rafting, wineries, golf and our Historical Town - they can even take in a Shakesperian play in near by Ashland).
