Hello again Gail - Wignall's Winery is about 5 miles or so out of Albany and they hold a jazz festival there every summer. I believe that it's very popular but I haven't been to one although Amanda, my daughter, has been with her husband a few years ago. Their wine is very popular and they have won a few awards.

Gail, just wanted to let you know that the Tums worked! Thanks. I am very sensitive to mosquito bites and they haven't itched at all. The kids didn't even notice that I had pink spots. lol Talk to you later!

Hi, Gail! I was just reading the SA pages I've missed and saw that your hubby is a mosquito magnet. In the US several online sources, like ExOffico and Magellans, I think, carry a line of clothing and accessories, like hats & bandanas called Mumz that is supposed to be insect repellant. I haven't tried any yet, but plan to this summer. Maybe you can find hubby something like that so you can enjoy your outside.

Thanks for the Going away party Gail! Yep, got the passports, had to renew mine and got one of those fancy microchipped ones now. I hope it's harder to lose than the old one, maybe they can track it by Satellite! Big Brother!...

I'm in Sydney till end of July, so I'm not sure what's happening down Sandy Point way. It seems to be out of the line of the worst of the rain.How has it been up your way? Did you get much of the deluge?

Hi Gail! Thanks for your compliments on my family photos. Ebony mostly played on the beach, but we did coax her out in the water a few times & she did the doggie paddle quite nicely. But we didn't want to overdo it & make her scared. She is getting much braver here at home in our pool, so I have a feeling she'll be out in the ocean more on our next trip to Fripp in Oct. Gail, thank you so much for telling me about rambutans! That name didn't sound familiar, but I googled it & then found on Wikipedia a picture of them & a line in the Produced section that said in Ecuador they call this fruit
''achotillo''! That DID sound familiar so now I have gone back & put the right label on my Flickr picture! I appreciate your help!

Hi Gail, many thanks for popping by and leaving the lovely welcoming gifts - apologies for not replying sooner but my hubby and I have just spent a glorious relaxing week on sunny Gran Canaria and only arrived back yesterday - we left England in the rain and returned back to rain! Like you I have been an avid visitor to this site for many months and enjoy immensely the comings and goings of everybodies life - although I don't think I'm brave enough yet to join in with all the fun. As I have just spent a week enjoying endless evenings drinking different cocktails, i'm leaving you a receipe book so that you can choose one or two yourself.

Gail....so glad to see you too were able to post your pictures as easily as I. Gath did a great job. I enjoyed your pictures very much...you have a lovely family....I agree with Stella...you were a baby when you married...The painted rock that the teachers do for the graduates is outstanding...what a treat for the kids. You are certainly a flower lover, with all of the hanging plants around your house.

My new carpets were laid on Saturday, I had rather a lazy day yesterday and today I started putting everything back, but I also took my curtains down and to the cleaners, so had a busy day. I wanted to do it last week but wasn't well then I went back to work. I'm not hurrying to put everything back, though.
I just had to ask about your photos, what you did before your pooter days, the reading or drinking the wine on the table in the background!!

GAIL, I think you visited and left page warming gifts on my FIRST page! This is my second, because I goofed when I signed in as a supporting member. To make it work, I became MizTricia1, where I was MizTricia before. It has confused others who thought they had not visited before. So see, you did nothing remiss! but thank you for the nibbles and smoothies, make mine strawberry please! Or have a sip of my special lemonaide (has a taste of rum in it) there is some on my table!

Gail, here's something for your breakfast - a fresh apple struedel and fresh apple cider. (Sure hope you like apples.) These come from the Apple Haus - best we tasted, other than great grandma's.
