The web-site shows what they are enduring. A friend said that the first few slides, reminded her of Sheriff Arpaio.

You probably haven't heard of Sheriff Joe Arpaio - He runs a Tent City Jail in Arizona (which is pretty much desert) all of the inmates have their underclose including socks died pink, he has cut the cost of feeding them, by giving them no frills meals. It does get hot in the tents, and if they take their pants off to keep cool - their Pink Jock Shorts are exposed. The inmates complained about inhumane treatment - his response was:
It is 120 in Iraq, our soldiers are living in tents and carrying over 100# of gear. What are you complaining about - they didn't even commit a crime.

The Sheriff believes that these inmates (many of them illegal aliens) will not return to his county, when they get out - because if they do and get caught in any misdeeds - they know what is in store for them. The word is out and crime is down.

PS: When the courts ruled that he had to provide Cable TV to the inmates (this is in their tents), he did, but only allowed 2 chanels Disney & the Weather Chanel. When asked why the weather chanel, he said that way they could know how hot it was when they had to go out and work on the ''Chain Gang''. The inmates are also charged for their meals. Sheriff Joe - makes sure he abides by all the laws and required provisions for the convicts - yet doesn't coddle them & keeps getting re-elected to Sheriff!

Hi there Gail
and thank you for your greetings. It's true that I haven't visited the sudoku pages much this year, but I do think about you and the others quite often! 2007 has been full of my mum's move into a nursing home, a shift to a different campus for my job, a vcat hearing on an unfortunate development over the road, a 16y.o. daughter moving too fast (for me!) into adulthood, etc etc But I shall be back anon! Many thanks for visiting my page and for the bubbly. I do like a bubbly.

Hi Gail. Jack is actually my sister-in-law's cat. I have four Burmese. I used to breed Burmese many years ago and the four I have left are what is left of all the cats that we either owned in the first place or couldn't bear to part with. I have never counted how many cats I have had over the years but I know that I have had cats all my life. The cat on my home page at the moment is Sherman. He was a gorgeous and very friendly cat. He used to bring home stray cats and give them a feed out of his bowl.

Hi Gail,

Thanks for your interest in New Jersey. It is one of the Atlantic coast states in the USA just south and west of New York City. Much of the state serves as bedroom communities for New York City and Philadelphia. However, the southeast side of the state is the shore (of the Atlantic Ocean) and is a very popular recreation and fishing area.

You wrote 'I know this comes up everytime, but I'm sure that's a meerkat, not a muskrat!' for todays 4x4 hard and I agree with you 100%. It is indeed a meerkat and not a muskrat.

Hi Gail! So glad to hear from you. Did look at your photos. What a gorgeous family. Your son is the same age as my younger son, who's a Marine and married with a son. My little Brandon! Loved the Medieval costumes. One of my goals is to sew a colonial era costume for myself because my school has its Colonial Faire (to copy a part of our history the beginning of the USA) We always dress or try to dress of that era. I envy you- you have 3 daughters and I only had sons. What a joy it must be to be able to understand what they're going through. I'm still struggling to understand the male thinking.
Have a wonderful day with , and a !

Hi, Gail!
Thank you for visiting my page. And your bubbly is delicious, and hard-to impossible to find here.
You have such a lovely family, sure you can be proud of.
I love to see wild mushrooms. Reminds me times when we were going for 'silent hunting' (that's how we call picking mushrooms in Russia).
But sure I'd never seen mushrooms like those growing on your block.
Some of them probably eatable, but you have to know for sure to even pick them up.
Thank you again for showing such a nice pictures.
Have a wonderful day.

Hello Gail, and thank you for visiting my page, and leaving the lovely bubbly!! Sorry there are not more photos on my pages, but at the moment I can only download them if they have been emailed to me. BUT... on the weekend we bought a new printer/scanner which I hope to master soon so I can add some more!! That is... after one of the younger ones have set it up and shown their technically challenged mother how to use it!!!

Am leaving you some cheeses to go with that lovely bubbly. Enjoy!!

Hi Gail!
So glad to hear from you. Beth is a great name. My daughter's name is Mindy Beth. She is the mother of my precious grandson, Maddox. Being a grandma is such a blessing.
I'm sending you some boiled peanuts, chess pie, and a bowl full of cheese grits. Have a great day. Wait! Is it daytime there?

Hi Gail, and thanks for the birthday/anniversary wishes! How nice of you! Yes, this is a crazy, busy week for us--we would never have chosen to have our wedding so close to our birthdays, but it was the only time we could get a place for the reception back then. Now, amid all the frenzy of us getting ready to celebrate our 25th, doesn't my nephew decide to get married this weekend and give us something else to do! The nerve. Anyway, cheers and thanks again for thinking of me! Have a marvelous week.

Hi Gail, thanks for all the goodies and for visiting my new pictures! yes, I like that little baby pretty much. We had a great time together and I am very lonely for her now that I am home. Hopefully, they will visit in a couple of months.
Your garden along with various pets is amazing. All those mushrooms are beautiful. Must be wet there. There are eucalyptus forests where my grandbaby lives, on the south coast side of San Fransico. they smell so good; but no koalas there! Enjoyed looking at your family pics, too.
visit again!

Hi Gail, thanks for dropping in and leaving the pressies. You have some interesting things growing in your yard! I had to look up where Cockatoo is in Vic and realised that I had probably been in the area several times visiting Puffing Billy. I have holidayed several times on the Mornington Pen. and always found time to get out your way as well. Your place looks very serene. Is it as rural as it looks?

Please drop by again soon. I am hoping to get things a little more organised here at home and make the time to visit with my friends.

Hi Gail,

I don't get by as often as I might like - being retired can be busy stuff.

I did get to see the Simpsons Movie last weekend - he is my hero. He loves his family, he usually tries to do the right thing (in the end), and he knows that when you get to a certain age you should stop learning new things because your brain is full and it will mean some old stuff has to go to make way for the new stuff. Problem is you can't control which bits of old stuff go and they may be important!

mAen all for now.

Gail, it was such a pleasant surprise to see you again!! I can't tell you how much my husband and I are looking forward to our upcoming holiday. I've always heard wonderful things about the friendliness of you Aussies. My parents visited Australia years back and loved it. My dad had also worked with some Australians and held them in the highest regard.

In looking at your pictures it appears that you enjoy reading and gardening. Those are two of my favorites as well; at least when I'm not at the computer!

Cheers.

Hi Gail! I keep missing you on SA so I wanted to stop by and see how you are doing. My hubby's 50th birthday is coming up on the 18th and Brendan is leaving for school on the 17th and time seems to be flying by. But I'm still unpacking and unwinding from my vacation while trying to get in gear to get the 3 kids ready to go away to school. We have a conflict with S#2's first day of school (they're starting a day early) and getting D#2 to boarding school on the same day. There's always something! Well, I hope you are having a great day! Here are some flowers to help brighten your day. Take care! ps: How did you like HP#7? I think it was the best one so far!

Hello Gail - I just read your comment regarding the photo of one of my grandaughters. You are so right, what would we do these days without the internet, etc.
I bought my daughter a webcam as a going away present when they moved to NZ a few months ago, then my daughter up north bought one, so we can all keep in touch that way. It's great. I'll have to get my son to buy one too!!
I've just got home from a walk around our boardwalk near the beach. A lovely warm winters day and very little breeze.

Just thought I'd return your call. Have found another terrific drop of grape juice. Currency Creek 'Ostrich Hill' from near Goolwa. You can even smell the mallee and seaspray in it.
Its true, I havn't posted much lately but I regularly print out 2 sudoku's and my hubby and I get them done in the morning. Get the brain started early. We used to be quite into crosswords but its a waste to buy a newspaper for a crossword. The rest of it is literally rubbish most of the time.
You really have a great set up in your little abode here.
Catch you later.

Hi Gail,
The haircut was being done on my 20 year old son Andrew. He had his 18' locks cut off for charity just before we went to Canada. The girl in the deep pink top is my 23 yr old daughter Elaine and the other girl (yellow top) is Emily our 16 yr old.
I've never tried Australian bubbly before so am looking forward to a nice cold glass (or two). You have some interesting looking fungii in your area. Is the are where the trees are all your garden? Makes my small back garden look handkerchief size.
We are just about to have a lunchtime snack of baked beans on toast... not very exciting but you are welcome to share.

Hello Gail, it was lovely to get an alert about your message. We havent met formally before, but I see your first comment here was that you have been about for a year, just not talking, lol. I took a quick peek at your photo gallery. Am I correct in thinking that you are a grandma, like me?
I must try and get an opportunity to google cockatoo. I have heard of it, of course, but dont think I've actually been there. I am part Victorian (well my dad was born in Melbourne), and I have a lot of rellies there. My ex was a Melbournite too.

We must catch up soon. Bye for now, Chrissy.

Hi Gail! Thought I'd stop by to wish Scott a . Did you bake a for him? You need to add a more recent picture of him to your photo gallery. If he's like most men he probably looks even better now that he did on your wedding day. It's so unfair - why doesn't it work like that for women??
