Hi Gail, for the bubbly - anything cold and wet is refreshing these days! It's been in the 80's and 90's for weeks, with lotsa humidity, on this side of the world anyway. Nice to meet your family and cats - both our cats were strays that my daughters had to save. The most colorful birds I ever get to photograph are ruby-throated hummingbirds. Those parrots you have are wonderful! When I figure out how to get more than one picture on my page I will post some of my wildlife photos.

Thanks for your concern - my back is still a dull pain in the "-" back. At least there are not the shooting pains, and I can actually stand up straight when I get up from sitting. I'm watching how long I sit at a time and am now sleeping on the floor for the firmest support. The dog loves that.

Hello Gail, Just caught up with your message from late last night. I'm getting through this dreadful week ok but today is the "Funeral" anniversary, so not good. I will survive though. Your house is very much like mine, made out of logs. I worry about its flammability though.

Hi Gail, sorry for not coming back sooner. Here's a jar of freshly made Calomondin Marmalade. (They look like cumquats!) It's a little runny but tastes good. I have a tree here in Sydney & one on the Hawkesbury too. These came from the river house. The ones here get eaten by possums! I picked them last Sunday.
I ove your picture particularly your fairy playgrounds!

Gail, thanks for dropping by with your kind thoughts. I had a good visit with Mom yesterday, after a horrid scare the day before when I was certain she was dying. Once they cleared away the accumulating fluids that had built up in her system, her breathing stabilized and now she seems much better. Her attitude is matter-of-fact yet positive; I hope for another miracle. We almost lost her three years ago so aren't certain we'll get another shot at more bonus years, but we continue to pray for that anyway. Meanwhile, I'm constantly teary and feel lousy every time I leave the hospital, which is an hour away. I wish I could just crawl in beside her until she's well. But the kindness of friends like you holds value beyond measure; please know how grateful I am. Bless you.

My cyber-hug just arrived--thank you! Mum-in-law has a broken bone in her shoulder and the nursing home is investigating how a bruise could go unnoticed for three days.
My mom continues to amaze, eating almost exclusively with her stroke-affected right hand. Her speech is much clearer now and her attitude is so upbeat. Perhaps the little trooper will be granted yet another miracle and can stick around for a while yet. There's so much more I'd like to do with her. Meanwhile, thanks for your continued support--all the prayers and good wishes seem to be working!

Hi Gail, Thanks for dropping by. I just finished a walk through your garden and love what you have done. First I had to Google Cockatoo Vic to find out where you are. Way down under. Out in the country but close to Melbourne I see. Thanks for the bubbly, which I will share with others since I cannot embibe. (I think that is the word) I did enjoy the bikkies.

Hi Gail - Thanks for the warm "Welcome Back". It makes me feel special. I missed talking to everyone. It is fun to go, but good to be home. I have been busy putting things a way, laundry etc. We were very fortunate to have a washer/dryer in the house where we were staying, but laundry doesn't take long to pile up when it is warm. We have had a very hot summer. 90's (F) and I believe it would be in the 30's (C). Please come again and visit sometime.

Hey, Gail, thanks for the visit and the daffodils. Spring is a wonderful time of year! Here in Georgia, we're still having summer weather. I'll be swimming in the ocean until the end of October. We really don't have much of an autumn here, but I do enjoy the winters. No snow or ice, but it gets cold enough for the fireplace! And I love to take long walks on the beach in the winter. Spring is more subtle here than in the north (where I come from), but it is still one of the prettiest times of year. Enjoy your daffodils!

With 911 coming up - I have some plans on tributes, etc. Then maybe some more of the fun things and music I like - or have memories of, possibly some themes like I did with the Corries.

It is fun volunteering at Britt - the pay is the concerts. Not bad, considering what it would cost for me to go to about 30 concerts.

Gail, thank you for the welcome back & the daffodils. Wish I could see your garden in person! Here in FL we can hardly even notice the season of SPRING? . I miss the spring flowers I grew up with in Ohio. It's good to be home in Valrico again. I missed Ebony more than Rob - shhhhh, don't tell him, ha ha! We're going to play some mixed doubles tennis this AM. Hope you've had a good weekend. Happy Spring to you & all your family!

Thank you, Gail, for your visit and encouragement (which you may live to regret!) I've finally found an outlet for my baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad poetry! Hi, Gail!

I hope all is well in your neck of the woods! It sounds like you and your hubby are making great progress with outside hanging plants! It will be a beautiful spring around your house! Please let your D (I forgot which number) Chloe know I thought of her on her birthday - just didn't get a message sent your way. How is your hubby doing? I think I remember reading that he had an episode with gout not too long ago.

Thanks for asking about my hubby! He had thought it best that I not share much information about our planned trip until after we got back. This was our first trip out of the U.S. to Europe. Unfortunately, after arriving in Vienna from a 10-hour flight, our sightseeing was limited to the hospital. After a few days and no more bleeding, they still wanted to keep him in the hospital until getting results of a biopsy - a full week longer. However, after several days in the hospital, he asked to be able to return home, and was released in the afternoon before our morning return flight. In spite of multiple calls this week to several phone numbers we had been given, we have been unable to get the biopsy results. (We had provided a FAX number for them to be sent.) A nurse here tried a conference call with an interpreter to the hospital and had no better luck. He has a couple of appointments on Monday, including a G.I.; if we still have no results, they may need to repeat the biopsy (which would mean a third colonoscopy since Aug. 26). He also had a bad attack of gout (his first) since we got home. The ER doctor said it was a combination of medications he takes and the 2 units of blood transfused while at the Vienna hospital. Thankfully, there has been no further bleeding, and he is basically feeling pretty good.

Hope to see you at SA3! Thanks so much for your concern & prayers!

Sudoku Hugs,

Julie

Did you watch both videos? The one that could not be embedded is actually the better of the two. There are many videos that use this song, as you can see on the related videos on the You tube version.
