Hi Ed and Happy Birthday! Did you see on Kathy's page that we are now pretty settled on meeting at the Celtic Ray Public House on West Marion Avenue in Punta Gorda? It is an Irish Pub relaxing atmosphere pub style food. Nice website under that name. Easy to find off I 75 at Rte 17 west which becomes Marion Ave. Looking forward to seeing you!

My FIL had his replaced 2 or 3 times. He damaged his back and hips when his plane exploded over Germany during WWII. He was a bomber pilot and found himself in mid air without his parachute. Fortunately one of the gunners had just pulled his ripcord and was penduluming under his parachute when my FIL hit him. They landed together very heavily and FIL broke his leg and did major damage to himself. They spent the rest of the war as POWs. I think he was only about 21-22 at the time and had been married for only 1 year. Well he lived and as a result I have my very handsome and loving hubby to thank for it.

Hi Ed, Just read your note. I love Calvin and Hobbes as well. Too bad Watterson had to retire. I started to play golf but hurt my left hand and was not able to hold the club. It is healing now and should start playing soon. I haven't even been able to ride my bike that I keep here in Arizona. Linda and I have talked about coming down and working the Daytona Bike Week but it is so difficult to find the correct venue since it is so spread out. Take care, Dave...

Hi, Ed did you get to see Roger Waters, or did I change my utube to soon? Yes, Love Harry Chapin, and do you know that it wasn't till I started Googling more songs, that I found out he died way back in 1981. No wonder I hadn't heard any new songs. Its a shame he left us so soon, can you just imagine what his songs would be like re: today's society?

Hi Ed. I have thought about you from time to time, music, horseracing, etc. I have changed my email, but not gonna post it here as it includes my real name; Kathy from Valrico has the new addy. I lost yours when I got rid of my old email provider (Compuserve) I thought I had everybody backed up. With a young son and being a widower I miss going to concerts. Someday I hope to go again; but by then the old rockers may all be gone. It seems we lose another each week. Oh Well, the price of aging is the remembering all those gone on before. Take care!

Hi Ed! - We're back in the USA. Haven't seen your name on a post since our return so figured I'd leave a note for you here. Will try to call you sometime tomorrow. We're getting caught up with home stuff, & I can hardly wait to play tennis at 5:30 PM today!! I have missed getting my exercise. All the walks we took on our trip were SLOW going over rough terrain.
