What's up Linda...? Hope everything at Sunshine's was OK! We went golfing and then out to dinner. Hitting the river today for adult malted beverages! Talk to you soon.

Don't you just want to pinch Bobby's cheeks - I get a kick whenever I went to one of my son's HS music program - Bobby Sherman played the drums. Mary

Don't know what your bottling right now Linda. Left a suggestion on east. a 'Minniehaha Laugh Yourself Silly' wine label, but that may not be what you're looking for. Cheers! And tell Libby I picked up that beer can so I could get the refund on it!

Hi Linda! Brendan is going to Drew University in Madison, NJ (not far from NYC). He is going to major in Economics and he will be playing soccer there. He will be about 3 hours south of us and my daughter at Boston College is 3 hours east of us. We'll probably try to get to some of his games. BTW, Bobby Sherman brings back memories, although I don't recall that song, Easy Come, Easy Go. I always liked him. Take care! Stop by the SA2 page sometime!

Hi, Linda! We haven't had a chat in a while. It has taken me SOO long to catch up on comments for about 10 days away from a computer.

I came here looking for the labels you mentioned for Rose! Well, at least I got to see Emily and her friends! Thought I would leave you with a big box of Frango Mints. Have a great day!

Hi Linda - What a nice group of friends! Is Emily your youngest? I think that is the most exciting thing for us. Jenny is our youngest. It is kind of like opening a new chapter in life! We have raised five children. My oldest is 28 years old today.

That church was just beautiful. I bet it is very nice on the inside also.

Are you still job hunting? I wish you lots of luck with that.

Linda
thank you for the lovely birthday wishes and gift for my 50th birthday celebrations. I have great memories to keep. The wine labels made especially by you are something to treasure.
receiving messages from all around the world is very humbling. I love to send the messages to others, but receiving them is something very
special.
we share a lot here on site and I love the feeling of the huge 'sudoku worldwide family'.
To share my family celebration here in Wangaratta with some of my special 'sudoku family' was more than I could possibly ask for. Your telephone call rates equally with being here with us, just awesome. We are lifelong, family friends and I cherish that. I only wish we didnt live so far apart.
cheers

Try a paste of dishwasher soap. Rub it in with a tooth brush then rinse the spot. This always works for me. When it is white I sometimes add a little bleach to the water in addition to the soap. Keep in mind that dishwasher soap can strip color...maybe test on an edge first. I have used it on colors and been okay.

Linda, saw your post from yesterday about rust stains. I have three methods that seem to work.
1. Sprinkle salt on the stain, squeeze lemon juice on it, and spread in the sun to dry.
2. Spread the stain portion over a pan of boiling water and squeeze lemon juice on it. Repeat until stain is gone.
3. The cream of tartar method that Susan mentioned yesterday varies from the one I know about. You can only do this if it's safe for the fabric. Bring a solution of 4 tsp. cream of tartar and 1 pt. of water to a boil. Add the shirt and boil until the stain is gone. Rinse thoroughly and wash.
Whichever you use, you will have to rinse the shirt thoroughly, then wash as usual.
I hope one these help you.

I just wanted to drop by and say for helping me get all those emails for Rose. The look on her face was just as we all would imagined it to be. You are a gem, for not only helping with emails, but also the wine lables and the phone call, it was fantastic to be able to finally put a voice to you.
Now I know we really must organise that international meeting, I can only just imagine us all together, boa's..tiara...and wine, what a mix!

Singapore Noodles

The only change that I made was instead of where it says “shredded” I always diced, but that is just to my family’s taste. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

185 g cooked vermicelli rice noodles
100 ml oil
½ medium onion, shredded
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 red chili, shredded
1 green onion, shredded
90 g baby shrimp (prawn) diced
125 g bean sprouts ( I left these out, again for my family’s taste)
90 g char siu (barbecued pork). I use ham
1 fresh egg, beaten

Seasoning:

25 g salt
½ tsp sugar (only if you use light soy sauce)
50 ml white wine
25 ml light soy sauce
75 g curry powder (more or less to your taste)
75 ml chicken stock

Preparation:

1. Parboil the noodles for about 5 minutes until they are 80% cooked. Then place on a dry towel and pat dry.
2. Mix together the seasoning and set aside.

Method:

Layer the wok with a little oil, just enough to cover the sides. Drain off. Over a high heat fry the rice noodles on each side for about 30 seconds. Remove and place on a serving dish. Fry egg, shred, diced, (scramble) remove and place in a bowl.

Heat the wok. Add in 50 ml oil and stir fry the onions, garlic, red chili and green onion for 20 seconds. Then add the shrimps, bean sprouts, egg, and barbecued pork.

Pour in the seasoning. Cook and let the stock boil down. Pour over noodles.

Enjoy! If you have any questions post on my page.

Hi Linda, How's things? I haven't been on regularly for so long that I've lost track of what everyone is up to. Last I heard you were waiting to hear about a job change. See how long it has been!!!! I am still studying, still working (sometimes), still tutoring, still neglecting my house, and my baby just turned 11 years old. Suzy

Hi Linda - I will try to catch you tomorrow morning around 9:30. (I think that is about 10:30 my time.) I am not sure if we are going to make the rally, but we want to go to Wisconsin to see my husband's cousin who lives in Wausau. (SP?) We may be dropping my neice off near Chicago on our way. We could probably drive up your way and meet you somewhere. Maybe for lunch or dinner? Talk to you tomorrow.

Thankyou thankyou for the Singapore noodles recipe. I will have to try it out soon. I have a little noodle house in Sydney where I get a good flavoured plate of noodles so being able to make my own will be great. I have raided my cellar and have found a bottle of Penfolds Bin 389 for yours. This is a great drop.. http://www.penfolds.com/collection/bin/bin-389-cab-shiraz.as p Thanks.

Linda, Yes, SA page does sound a lot like the chat room, but with one difference. If I happen not to be signed on when my firends are chatting away, I can go back and read what I missed!! I think all of us on SA like that feature the most.

I am in dead center of Alabama! About half way between Montgomery, the capitol and Birmingham, biggest city. I am about 20 minutes away from I-65 . About 10 minutes from a small town and I love it that way! Rural, quite, I see cows and peaches growing on my way to run erands?

What part of Minnesota are you in? I visited St Paul, Minneappalios (sp, but you know what it is) about 3 years ago and enjoyed the area. Saw
the Mall of America, ate at Forrest Gumps, Saw the falls, forgot the name, Minnie something, but mostly visited with friends who gathered there for a quilting meeting.

thanks for visiting my page and drop in any time.
