Kate, As heavy as your heart is, you have taken time to help make my birthday go from good to great simply by extending birthday wishes to me. Everyone likes to be remembered and thanks to my Sudoku family, I was well remembered. Glad you were apart of that.
I would like for you to visit sometimes and tell me about your Mum....when I first lost my parents, I felt the need to talk about them all the time, but hesitated because I didn't think folks would listen...When I found that they would and weren't turned off, it helped me a lot. I have found that others often enjoy it too...and if thats not one of your needs ...we can always find other fun things to do. May peace find you when you are most in need.

Taking the time to say thank you for your message of love and support through the tough times with my mum, and her death. My heart has been lifted by the warmth and love shown to me here.

Just saw your photo on June's page and thought I'd drop in. You look so familiar!! You must have a twin as I have never lived in Melbourne and have only visited once - more than 20 years ago - so it is unlikely I have actually met you. Weird feeling!

I was at Sydney Uni from 82 to 85, then worked in Punchbowl then Blacktown...

Where have you been this time...and next time can I come too?

Just a whole bunch of stuff about how some miss 'the old days' of the site! Got myself in trouble because I dared to say something about it. One day I will learn to keep my trap shut...
Apart from that, nah, been fairly quiet around the place once that hullabaloo died down.
Oh yeah, that's right, we had a hootenanny of a party on SA5. We were celebrating Cyn's upcoming retirement, funniest day ever! Think the date was 15th Aug, so if you want a funny read, go back to pages 163-176!

Hi Kate, thanks for dropping by. See you have been having a busy time at Mt Hotham and with some family.
We had a couple of weeks in Malaysia. Went with the local Probus club and had an enjoyable trip. It was hot though. Have started sorting photos but will try to get some on my page soon.

Hi Kate. Thanks for the wishes for my Dad both for his birthday and the pacemaker. It looks like it might be put off again - won't know till I ring him tonight. The Cardiac Surgeon wants to talk with all his Doctors! All of his specialists are Sydney based, but he sees them in Dubbo & of course they're all there on different days at different times of the month, but they are all at St Vincents where he is now!

Thanks Kate. Still nothing happening though. Might not be back in Dubbo for his party on Saturday!! When I found out about the pacemaker I told Maureen we wouldn't come up & we both thought the others would do the same, especially our brother who lives in Sydney & is seeing him in hospital as well, apparently they're all still going up. 2 of his kids & their spouses + Maureen & her husband (because they'll be doing the catering!) would be okay, but there will be 5 great grand kids under 10yrs old & a minimum of 5 grand kids with partners/spouses! And it's taking place at Mum & Dad's place! Mum panicked about family gatherings when she was in her 50's & 60's, she's nearly 83 now!

Sorry Kate. That was a bit over the top! just letting off steam - I've said it all to Maureen & she agrees, just need to say it again! Sorry you got the earfull At least I wont know if you don't listen to it all!!!!LOL!!

Hello there, Kate ... just a quick visit to let you know I'm thinking of you. As the anniversary of my mother's death approaches (September 30) I realize how much I still miss her and can only imagine how you miss your mother too. Take comfort in special memories, and take this hug from me!

Hi Kate.... survived the trip to Swan Hill and all I've done is sleep since then..........or so it seems! Physically and emotionally exhausted...well that is my excuse for not ringing last night LOL!

The easiest way to describe its location is to say it is one level above the food court, almost directly above it! Kate, it was very kind of you to drop in.
Yes, it was the same cat, the one with nine(teen) lives! He did have a reprieve, in fact many, it seemed that every time I thought it was time and rang the vet to 'book it in', he seemed to have heard me and and got a spark of something from somewhere! This time though, he was looking terribly sad all weekend and he wasn't picking up at all. It was time, enough was enough.
I was with him at the end and it was very peaceful. It helps.

Hi Kate, just dropping in with preliminary arrangements for a gathering in honour of Rena from Canada's visit. The date is planned but that is about as far as I've got at this stage! It will be Saturday November 29th, not sure if it will be at my place or if we meet somewhere more central.
Hope you can make it, whatever we finally decide upon.

Rena is staying at Chez Cockatoo B & B! Do you think we could get any closer!
I was putting the word out, and asking those who I knew might attend where they would prefer before I open the invite on easy. Liz suggested the Angler's Tavern in Essendon, I mentioned Southbank as a possibility but if I were honest, a barbie or something up here would be the go for me.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Although I will miss my brother terribly, I have many wonderful memories that will see me through the days to come. I am grateful for the support from all my friends in Sudokuland. It means a lot to me!
