First of all, welcome to page three!

As to the avatar, I use the following site to shrink pictures or images:
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/
Just link a photo and set the avatar size to 50.

When you're in update features for your page, click on the submit avatar feature and you see the following information:
You can have an Avatar (image) appear next to all of your posts.
Avatars must be:
File size must be under 5kb
The image must be in .JPG or .GIF format (not an animated gif)
The image must be 50 pixels by 50 pixels. Many programs can resize images, a great free one is ACDSEE
Any avatars judged objectionable will not be allowed.
Once you upload your avatar, it will be pending until staff approve it (typically 12-24 hours). There will be a 'avatar pending' message on your user details page. Once it is approved, your avatar will automatically be used in your posts. If it is not approved (unlikely) then it will be deleted and you will have a 'no avatars pending' message on your user details page.

The Rainbow Bridge

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

Noemi, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Here is an Irish Blessing that I converted for the loss of a beloved dog.

Noemi, my thoughts are with you. We just lost our beloved dog-next-door so I can relate to the pain you are feeling. Our four-legged friends give so much and there's such a hole when they're gone. Beautiful memories and great sadness. Bittersweet. It's not much consolation when one is grieving, but it's so true: "It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."

Noemi, I'm glad to see that Nal has already sent you the beautiful Rainbow Bridge poem. It is surely a comfort to think that someday we will be reunited with our beloved pets. 2007 has been a sad year for many of our Sudoku family who have had to say goodbye to our dogs, Chen, Keno, Nitro, & Munchkin. Maybe in time you will decide, like Nal & I did, to bring another dog into your family. I know you & Ervin have lots of love to give.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Judging from your picture, poor Chen may have died of fright.

Noemi, I'm sorry for your loss. Chen was such a lovely dog. I enjoyed his pictures. You are so talented in photography, you've captured a playful spirit in your photos of Chen. Or was he a ham for the camera? I hope that your memories of him will sustain you. Please take care of yourself.

You have allowed me to correct a problem in my email that I hadn't known about until I got your question...thanks for the heads up...it was a big help!

Noemi, thanks for sharing your photos of Chen with us. She was such a pretty dog. Where did you get her? With all that hair I'll bet she shed a lot! I hope you will send your power point presentation to me soon. I looked for it tonight, but had not received it yet. I will look forward to viewing it.

Hi Noemi, sorry for responding so late but things really got hectic for last couple of months. Got so involved in settling my younger daughter that I was in virtual spin and picture was quite hazy. It seems to be getting clearer now and hopefully she will be settled soon.
Good to know that you have friends from Bangalore, well you can add one more to that list. Will keep in touch now. bye
