Andre... couldn't get your 'dammit' method to work with my e-mail company. Will keep trying, though!
An update on my niece, Beth: She is doing better although is still in serious condition. She had two units of blood to raise her blood pressure and that helped quite a lot. The infection has settled into her hip and she has no use of that leg at present. She is on a morphine pump so it must be quite painful. They are testing to see if the bacteria is out of her blood stream. When it is, she'll go on IV antibiotics for about 6 weeks, I guess. Thanks for thinking of her.

André, I was so sorry not to be able to chat with you while I was there, but I did finally get your messages on my mobile once I returned home. It was so sweet of you to try to reach me so many times.
I loved Paris and London, and if I'm able, I'd love to come and spend more time in each city. My favorite part of Paris was Lombard street and the jazz clubs there...good music, food and drink, and full of friendly people. Have you been there? Or is that of little interest to you? How far from the city do you live? I have family that live in surburban Paris, but I didn't catch up with them either...too little time to do all that I would have liked doing. That's why I need another trip.

Hello Andre (I can't remember how to emphasize your e, in your name anymore)
anyway- it's Anew from Utah, and I just wanted to say thank you for all of the posts you sent over the last year. I'm sorry for not being a better friend, and for still not sending you a surprise. I haven't forgotten it, and I hope i'll do it soon, even still.

I'll just be happy if you still want to be friends, though. Thanks again for your support, and understanding. You are great!

Because there are so many people onsite, I likely won't go back any time soon to everyones old pages or the archives, so I'll keep intouch from here on out, if you'd like :)
And maybe one day I'll get the umph to really, truly catch up!

take care,
an old friend

André, I am just stopping by to see that everything is ship-shape here. By the way, I parked the moose on the front stoop, so he can't get into too much trouble while I check out the place for anything out of place. I sure don't want you to come home to find that a window had been left open and rain had loosened the woodwork or left a puddle on the carpet.

Gosh André, isn't Jeb considerate. It's nice to have virtual neighbors! I stopped by to see if he needed a hand but there was a moose out front blocking my my. I was tired and thirsty, so I opened one of the brews I brought, a Moosehead beer, and when the moose saw it ... gone like a shot. I gave chase, but last I saw it was headed into the Chunnel. Soory Jeb, but maybe Mo can catch up with it on the other side! And André, feel free to drink the rest of the case of Moosehead I brought, as I left it on your front stoop.

Wow, I thought I'd stop to make sure your fish was fed and lo and behold, there is beer on your stoop!! I grabbed one on my way in, put it in the bin when I was finished. I closed the door behind me, so hopefully the moose doesn't find his way in should he make it back here.

BTW, dearie. Thought you might like to know that JD is filming in my area again (Wisconsin anyways). A bit farther this time. About a 2 and a half hour drive for the one town, and about 3 hours for the other :~)

Hey guys, I'm not sure we should really be doing this. Last time we got a big SLAP!
Well alright, as long as you are sure it will be ok.
I brought along some Aussie bubbly, sorry they're open, I had to make sure they were popping! Also brought some cheeses to go with those crackers and a pav I whipped up for afters.
Enjoy.
BTW Keith, if she's anything like me, it will be well hid!

Well, I did not want to miss on the fun, so I brought another moose, a bigger one this time and that beast is not afraid of anything.
I see André did not get around to finish her dishes so I will kindly wash that cup that she left on the counter and will trow away all the paper wrappers from all the chocolate that she ate. See you in September, André!

Good heaven's! I just slid through some roo pooh on my way in! Yuck!
I found this guy wandering around outside Says his name is Gustav. He says he's hungry. I'll just feed him the rest of the chocolates and pour a Moosehead into a bowl. That should make him happy!
Bean, can you do something about the roo pooh? I've brought cleaning supplies.

By your comment, it is plain that you don't know a lot about moose(es). Besides, what makes you think no one found your chockie stash, you just as much as admitted that you don't know much about a moose. Moose don't care much about being ridden. I've found its best to wait for them to swim across a lake, paddle your canoe like hell to catch up then jump on their back while they are swimming. Just remember to bail out before they get their feet under them on the other side. Glad you had a fun if not sore holiday. I don't know if a moose's back is softer than a horse's.

Mooses are kind of picky about their lakes, they like them surrounded by birch, and balsam, and larch...larch? Oh, I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night and I work all day, I cut down trees...oops, I digress too. Power canoes are not all that aesthetically pleasing but will do in a pinch. And I reiterate, beware of any chockies you encounter where moose have been anywhere near the vicinity. Naming a moose is a tricky undertaking. If the name is not deemed appropriate by the moose, it will tend to show its displeasure when you least expect it.

Escellent suggestion. A good Aussie name like that and could even be hyphenated with -mate. Our otherwise orderly moose would be completely addlepated to the point of being non responsive. A very good time to rescue your chockies, too.

Thank you André for making my birthday a special one.
Many sudoku friends from around the world coming to visit me and wishing me a Happy Birthday have overwhelmed me.
My Husband and sons took me out to dinner to a Chinese Restaurant, and on the Sunday, we had a delicious Roast Dinner at MIL’s.

A lady opened her refrigerator and saw a rabbit sitting on one of the shelves.

"What are you doing in there?" she asked.

The rabbit replied: "This is a Westinghouse, isn't it?", to which the lady replied "Yes."
