Hi Andre,

I was working as part of an AusAid project in primary schools in Flores in 2003. We were only there for 3 months, but it made a lasting impresseion!!

I changed my avatar just for you. Yes, I knew you and Bertie were closely connected. Don't know if anyone else enjoyed what you and Billy did but I enjoyed it, reminded me of days gone by.
Took the time to wonder through your pictures. I guess I missed hearing about both of your trips. Guess for me the trip to France looked more my speed, looked like a great area to visit. I have been to France 3 times but never to that region. I know you go to Spain quite often. Do you speak French & Spanish? Was going to Spain this year but with Harry' toe & my back don't think we will be able to make it.

Hi André! Slow in responding to you as usual. Where in Canada are your visitors from? When you say five weeks, I assume they are touring and just based at your home, or are you entertaining them in your home for 5 weeks. I see you, billy and a few others have found a new place to chat on the site. C'est bien! At least you haven't elected, like others have, to abandon the site completely. Cheers, and enjoy your summer and your visitors.

Hello andre. Had a quick minute to stop in and say hi. Seems to be more changes around here and I have missed most of it this summer. Hope you are well, take care, I care.

Thank you for your bithday greeting. The weather isn't cooperating - yesterday was 108°, today, my "medicare" birthday, is suppose to be 105°. Mom called this morning to sing me Happy Birthday. Last year I was in So. Cal. with her for my Birthday. Tonight, I will be working Britt & listening to Midori and the Britt Orchestra, and being Pop Corn Queen - a title I got several years ago. [Not a fun job when it is hot - sun on the back & heat from the kettle. But during classical allows time to mix with friends.] I've found the least amount of clothes I'm allowed to wear and still be presentable.

Andre - just wanted to stop in to tell you how much I enjoyed Hamlet's Cat's Soliloquy on the "discussion and debate" forum...really a treat.
Please be sure to let us know when you post wonderful tidbits like that in the future as I don't really belong on the discussion and debate page ...it's way out of my league! Also love your thoughts for the day, btw - hugs

Andre for the visit to my page...and your kind comments. I will try and stop by "discussion and debate" more often and see if I get the courage up to post.
So nice to have someone read my itinerary...but it will be a trip only in my mind. It was a challenge from GMo on an earlier easy page. Not many have taken her up on it, though.
Later gator!

Hi André, thanks for dropping in with the birthday wishes! He had a normal work day but our son was home for dinner & we had cherry strudel for desert with a candle on Birthday Boy's(?) piece! When I can get both kids together we'll go out for dinner!

Hi girlie, thanks for leaving a note on the door. How you been? Things are hectic in my corner, Kate went back to school (or she did for one day until it was cancelled for the storm), Nat doesn't sleep, it seems, ever! She is the widest eyed, alert little beetle butt that I've ever seen lol. Hope all is well and to catch up soon xox

Hi André.
Lovely to have you drop by for a visit after viewing my post on D & D. I am generally somewhat contrary and an incorrigible stirrer. Give me a drink or two and I'm even worse...LOL!!! Loquacious be thy name!!!

Loved your post today ...sapiosexuality describes me to a 't'... and that isn't due to white eggs [or egg whites] because I always open the carton to make sure they are brown. Did you know that brown shells are stronger and less likely to crack if you boil them? Don't you just love the little gems that one picks up on this site? [probably another old wives tale....]

Love your photo of the Chateau de Villandry gardens on your page...tried to look at them on flicker but will have to come back when we are back up to full speed. I used up ALL our allocation this month [acc. to son] cruising around the world on Google Earth.

Ciao.

Bertie and Billy report... while we did hear rumors, it was good to hear the garbled words (through marshmallow filled mouths) that all went as expected in the reunion. It would have been simulating to watch the foot to mouth exercise with the marshmallows, as there is a certain amount of dexterity required to grasp those marshmallows without crushing them too badly. I had been monitoring the online British tabloids here in Canada, but saw no mention of any major disturbances. I did see a small blurb regarding Fred's and Todd's record setting gold medal win at the Olympics. It is great to know you are being well cared for in Oxford prison. I've sent a care package that includes a chocolate-covered file and a case of holy water from the Pelee Island Winery. Cheers!

oh boy did I hit the ground running - I haven't stopped, thank God i've got another holiday up my sleeve! Just wanted to say "thank you" for your lovely words, we really did share a special moment there, didn't we? I have put a few pics on my page, nothing that will besmirch our reputations or get us locked up in solitary...you're a beautiful lady, sweetheart, and the other gorgeous lady above this post will no doubt want to be in on the next rendezvous!! xxx

Well André. I hope your travel to Spain went well, and that you had a good time. It sounds like your time incarcerated with Billy went well. Did you need to lick the chocolate off of the file I sent to break out, or did the boot you out to avoid being embarrassed? Cheers

Hi Andre, long time no talk. I've been retired for over a year now and don't seem to have quite so much time to go to the sudoku site as I did when I worked!! When I read your poem at the top of the page, it was weird because it's a bit like one I wrote. Called "Private Place"

I have a place within by being and no-one knows it's there.
I only visit this sanctuary, when there's no-one here to care.
So few people know my name, and fewer still know me.
Within this place I can expand, my mind stretch wild and free.

Flying through responsibilities without care.
Restrained not by sensible beings.
I reach heights and depths
of success and pain.
Exaggerate every thought and ambition
Exciting feelings I keep well hidden.
Until exhausted I descend again.

And this place once more closes its doors.
I know accept everyday living.
But I have this sanctuary anyway.
And it's kept within my being.

Hi again,
It was amazing this morning because I opened my mail to find a posting from Billy in response to my mail over the weekend. Then I checked the chatroom and she was in there alone. Boy were we surprised. She then mentioned that she'd met up with you in the UK and that you'd had a great time together. So I thought I'd try to keep in touch with some of the old crowd. Hope things are going well for you. Cheers.

Sorry about the typos in the poem. First line should be "my" not "by" and "know" should be "now" in the last verse. oops.
