Mum is having a Mastectomy on 1st Dec. This morning we are off to have the pre-op visit with the Anesthetist, which could take 2-3 hours, am taking a book to read, sure to be lots of sitting around waiting!!!

Me again. I came to Adelaide last yr. in December. My son and family are living there. The two children were on school break. I was the nannny... sort of... lots of perks with that gig. I had also been there in April of 2007 for a visit. Everyone in the USA would like to visit Australia. TNgma

Nola thank you so much for this suggestion about the association. I think I am still in a state of disbelief over all this and hadn't even thought of them. At times I really wish I wasn't a nurse and didn't know what he is in for. I haven't spoken to him for a while because I am too emotional about it and he doesn't need that. At least I can still write...

My friend has been overdoing things while she has been having the Radiation treatment. It is quite worry but you cannot tell them! At the moment she is exhausted from doing some volunteer work but otherwise fairly OK. Two more weeks of daily treatment.

Nola, thank you so much for celebrating my birthday with me last week, I had so much fun reading all the posts. Thanks for taking time out of your punishing schedule!
The family went out to dinner that night, then the next day we had yet another party for my youngest daughter's 16th. I then had the pleasure of a lunch on Sunday with some of our Sudoku family who spoiled me wonderfully.
It doesn't get much better than that!

We've moved into the addition and loving it. Been working out in the yard. Putting up an 8 foot deer-proof fence (600 square foot area) and just getting the raised-beds built for the veggie garden. I'm hoping to get finished so I can get planted by mid-May. The rain is giving my poor back a rest today, thank goodness!
