all. Can't say it is a beautiful morning - because it is to dark to tell what today will bring & it changes fast anyway. No snow yet. 1°C out there at 5 a.m. PST.

My U-tube now featuring 'MY WAY" by the 3 TENORS performed during the 84 Olympics at Dodger Stadium. Great Song - Great Voices! Frank Sinatra was in the front row and they salute him at the end of the song.

Will be updating my U-tube in 12 hours to start a Christmas celebration - of music of the Season.

Looks like goldenrod to me and we have lots of it here. i get to look it it every fall. Many people do sneeze during goldenrod season, but most are actually allergic to other plants blooming at that time, less conspicious plants. goldenrod geta a bad reputation.

Did you know, goldenrod was once the state flower of Alabama? But because it is a windflower here, AKA as a weed, our lawmakers removed it and replaced it with the camilia!

MizTricia: Your golden rod is not the same as our UK one. It is even in a different family. Yours looks like a Mimosa or Acacia. Is it native or of Oz origin?

Golden wattle is an Acacia.
The African wattle is different.
The latin names are clear but the nicknames are confusing.

I don't think they have allergical pollen. I think Miztricia is right. It is the wind pollinated plants associated with the wattle that give it any bad reputation.

Acacia is a nightmare for me. There are three trees on the walkway to the offices of Education and one morning I was fine when I got out of my car and My eyes were swelled shut by the time I got into the office. They Had to take me out the back door. They said that it happened a lot during blooming season.

I posted a youtube last night, (with the help of Eve and my daughter). Herb was given a recording studio by his father, and while trying out all the instruments, made the Lonely Bull all by himself. No other people were used in the track.
