Rayray recently inspired me to write a poem for my 2 children.Hope I dont bore you all.
To be a grandparent is truly the best
Our little Benny the first of the quest
Along came the twins our delight was complete
Tyler & Beau made 3 and all were a treat

A few years rolled by without any more
Our hearts went out to our girl to even the score
As the family grew bigger with rellies new babies
IVF was awaiting for needy young ladies

With many a tear the day finally arrived
When a pregnancy confirmed the egg had survived
A long wait ahead would confirm the suspicion
A boy or a girl. What was the condition.

During this time it was an up & down emotion
All was not well to add to the commotion
Along came a call the blessing was doubled
Many a prayer for the little ones troubled

3 months early and tiny but sweet
2 little girls made us grandparents complete
Kailah & Maddylain were a joy to behold
There life is unfolding and yet to be told

Now we have 5 lovely grand kids to cherish
Their parents delighted & hope for this wish
Do well in your life for you only have one
Enjoy what unfolds for life has begun.

Thanks for asking, Nola - fire dogs sleeping! We haven't had smoke in our area for about 3 weeks now. I think there are still fires up north (I've read Eve/Oregon mentioning some smoke) and I doubt the Big Sur fire is completely out as that area is very unaccessable and their fires always burn for a long time.

Two women were out for a Saturday stroll with their dogs. One had a Doberman and the other had a Chihuahua .

As they walked down the street, the one with the Doberman said to her friend, "Let's go over to that bar for a drink."

The lady with the Chihuahua said, "We can't go in there. We've got the dogs with us."

The one with the Doberman said, "Just watch, and do as I do." As they walked towards the bar the one with the Doberman put on a pair of dark glasses and started to walk in.

The bouncer at the door said, "Sorry, lady, no pets allowed."

The woman with the Doberman said, "You don't understand. This is my seeing-eye dog."
The bouncer said, "A Doberman is your seeing eye dog?"

The woman said, "Yes, they're using them now. They're very good."

The bouncer said, "OK, come on in."

The lady with the Chihuahua thought convincing the bouncer that a Chihuahua was a seeing-eye dog may be a bit more difficult, but
thought, "What the heck," so she put on her dark glasses and started to walk in.

Once again the bouncer said, "Sorry, lady, no pets allowed."

The woman said, "You don't understand. This is my seeing-eye dog."

The bouncer said, "A Chihuahua?"

The woman with the Chihuahua said, "A Chihuahua? They gave me a frigging Chihuahua ???"

Instead of writing about traveling, I've been out playing tourist ... not far away, just a few hundred miles up my own West Coast, but I have escaped the US just barely, into Canada. It's been fun, but we travel back home tomorrow. I'll post a few pictures after we get back.

I thought it might be interesting to ask Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby, just who WAS behind the grassy knoll, but then I thought that would ruin a good many jokes and conspiracy theories....

Rayray and Nola - nice poetry today.
Good jokes today - I remember Greg's hillbilly one but there were others too - all funny (why don't I write things down?)

We had a koala in our backyard this morning. The dogs in the yard behind us were jumping and whining at our fence. So Hubby and I went up for a look and there, high up in a Macadamia tree was a koala. I just checked and he's still there. Any other aussies - don't they need eucalypts? Anyway, if he's still there in the morning I'll phone the Koala Protection Society - they want reports of sightings anyway. We took photos and if any are clear enough I'll post them later. Note: this is an unusual event - we live in a housing estate not acreage.

Sophia - I downloaded Smiley Central on my old computer, and when I added their Cursor Mania, a new search engine was installed - which I didn't want and which I couldn't get rid of. THEN, I did my research and found that Smiley Central is loaded with adware and possibly even spyware. Whatever you do, don't download Cursor Mania!!!
