Morning all.

Julie, I hope that possible migraine has left!!!! I've had them before and they are definitely not a fun thing.

Broni, hope you're feeling better. Vent away, little one!

June, just reading your posts about all that you accomplish tires me out.

Rolanda, yahoooooo.

Gail, I hope you are soon able to determine what's wrong with your youngest. It's no fun wondering if it will happen again, when it will happen again, etc.

Julie's possible migraine decided to visit me. ..... oops... should have whispered that.
At least IH left for the plant, and said that he probably won't be home until tomorrow.

*** TMI WARNING ***
Gail.... I had symptoms kinda like Hannah's when I was her age. It turned out to be chronic appendicitis... it would come and go fairly suddenly. While getting tests to figure out what was wrong, the docs discovered that my female organs were a mass of fibroids (that might be her problem, too.) We decided to take out all offending female organs and the appendix. The appendix showed no signs of swelling or redness, but was a mass of scar tissue. I've never had a re-occurence.

I also had chronic appendicitis when a teen, although nothing was done for it. When I had abdominal surgery in my 20's, they took appendix just cause, cured the tummy aches for sure.

Dull gray, cloudy, windy damp, coolish day today. I headed back to my winter closet to dress today. forecast says the clouds should clear out by afternoon, and it will get warmer when sunshine returns. I have been up forever today, since 5:30. Perhaps I need a nap this morning?? At least to my recliner and under the warm throw, get really warm again. I really do not want to turn on the heat, knowing it will warm up in a few hours.

Hugs to each of you, I will be back later.

I was having a lovely sleep in my own bed...and my cat decided to walk over me to wake me up. She had finished the tin of tuna I had fed her earlier and would like something more to eat! She is 16, skinny as anything and eats like there is no tomorrow. She has days when we say she will not last much longer, then she picks up and looks like she will be around, waking me up at night for, for ages. She does not wake Hubby when I am away.
I hope those with migraines soon get better. Touch wood I seldom get headaches.

I didn't watch American Bandstand but I loved him on New Year's Eve. I usually spent it with my grandmother. She watched Guy Lombardo and I watched Dick Clark.

I found a strange treatment for that borderline migraine I was developing. I have a weakness for grape slushies, or almost any slushie for that matter, and I got one today while filling up my truck with gas. I took several deep slurps and .... BRAIN FREEZE!!!! And instant headache relief!!!

No MizT, I didn't watch American Bandstand. There was no such thing as cable back then, so we weren't able to watch it. We were only able to get 2 local stations, one English and one French.

It's only 100 days to go until the Olympics in London.

I'm off to get a few things done before the hockey game starts. Go Sens Go.

Robert didn't show up today until 2 pm (late night with a girlfriend), and by the time he got here I had finished pouring water on the last of the concrete around the posts. I prefer to let the fast setting concrete set up for 24 hours before putting a lot of strain on them, so there was nothing else to do today except do some motorcycle errands. The battery in the new motorcycle bit the dust, and the hand grips were disintegrating, so we went on an expedition looking for the parts needed, and for someone to install them. It took 4 hours, but we got it done. We took the motorcycle with us in the back of my horse trailer. Robert is thrilled.

I never watched American Bandstand either. I've never been much for watching things. I'd rather be doing something. I think I watched Dick Clark a couple of times on New Year's Eve.

We didn't get American Bandstand or the New Year thingy (except for 10 seconds on the news) but I remember Dick Clark from that blooper show and was aware that he did Bandstand.

I just got a phone call from Robert's sister. He was just in a bad accident. They were waiting for the ambulance when she called. I don't know how badly he's hurt, but it sounds like there are a bunch of injuries.

I just talked to the goof. I don't know how he does it. He has a bunch of bruises, scrapes and scratches, a very sore knee and a broken nose. But nothing more serious.

Theresa: "something inspiring" (you told us you wanted someone to say something inspiring) TEE HEE (and you guys wonder why TTT & I have been friends so long??!?)
Sorry, too tired to read. I saw a comment about migraines. I have had them on & off since I was 16...There have been times I have had to go to urgent care for them.
Please keep my friend Johnette in your prayers. She has had ongoing problems with scar tissue AND gastric issues. She had surgery yesterday. I spoke to her late last night, she seemed to feel ok, but this is not the first time she has had issues in the last 8 years. She is also diabetic. She controls her diabetes thru diet. Her current job is NOT very understanding about this. She LOVES the job, so pray that she hangs in there.

Robert's accident was about an hour south of here, in a town called Columbia. He was visiting his sister, and had a passenger on the motorcycle. Following the accident, they went to the hospital in Columbia, where they were ignored for a couple of hours. So they decided to go to my favorite hospital in Campbellsville, only half an hour from here. They were rushed in and seen by the doctors within 5 minutes there. Robert's passenger had been moaning that her leg and arm were broken, but the x-rays showed no breaks, just bruising. Robert's only break was his nose. He does have a lot of cuts and scrapes, though. When I first saw him, I started laughing. His nose is hugely swollen and red, and he has 2 big red scrapes above the eyebrows. He looks just like a circus clown. Robert's sister drove them to the hospital, but didn't have enough gas to drive Robert home, or to get herself and the passenger home, and none of them had cash for gas. So I drove down to the hospital and gave his sister some cash to get home, then drove Robert home. He lives 12 miles away from me. That was my good deed for the day.

Now the birds have been fed and watered, so I can go to bed.
I get to sleep in, since IH won't be back until the afternoon and I ordered Robert NOT to come to work tomorrow. He gave me quite an argument, but I wouldn't relent.

Good Late Evening/Very Early Morning, Everyone! Oh, how I wish we had a "Like" button here!

Rolanda, what an exciting time as you watch your home being built! If you're close enough, be sure to take pictures as electrical wiring and plumbing are placed between wall studs so you can either find them or avoid them as necessary once the solid walls are in place!

Gail, I'm glad to hear that Hannah is feeling better! Hope you and hubby enjoyed your "Gail!" What considerate neighbors you are to delay your burning until after your neighbors' wedding!

June, so sorry you had to drive home in the rain and some flooding! Even if you don't need to umpire, at least you are home and able to sleep in your own bed! I hope your aches and pains are better tomorrow!

Broni, I'm sorry to hear that you're shattered! I hope it's nothing too serious! We're all here to support you!

Tami, I hope the state tests are going well and your students take the testing process seriously!

June, thanks for sharing CP's report of her visit to Mamacita! (I so rarely get to Easy any more.)

WOO HOO! Theresa is here again today! You haven't told us much about you. Has your shoulder improved? Any other health issues? How is your D? We'd love to hear anything you'd like to share!

Heidi, I'm so sorry; I didn't mean to share the migraine with you! I'm glad I didn't also mention the pain in my back! Luckily, I was able to get an appointment with my acupuncturist yesterday afternoon. That mostly took care of my back pain, so I was only dealing with the migraine by bed time last night. It was considerably better when I got up this morning. I have only taken medication once today, but will take it again before I go to bed.

Feel better soon, Heidi! At least one pain will be gone for a day or so! I'm glad you feel well enough to work on the fence again!

June, I'm sorry the cat woke you! Do you suppose the reason she walks on you and not your hubby is because you respond and he ignores?

Hi, Nola! I hope you had a good day at work! Thanks for stopping in!

Heidi, I will try to remember your treatment for a borderline migraine! It would certainly be worth trying! I am so sorry to hear of Robert's accident and hope his injuries heal quickly!

Suzy, it's nice to see a post from you! How is the unpacking/sorting out going? I hope Natahlia (and Dana and Alie) are all well!

Suzanne, you and Tami the T are definitely 2 peas in a pod! I'm wondering how no one else thought of that! Enjoy your visit to Washington state! Happy 50th birthday to your SIL! Prayers for your friend Johnette and a good recovery from her surgery!

Oh, dear, Bean, so sorry to hear that some hair has fallen out! It is a blessing to start out with a good amount! (Mine is so thin that I worry if I lose more than 5-10 hairs in a day.) I'm sure you'll be beautiful when you get home from the hairdresser!

Heidi, you had a very long day and ended it with a good deed! I hope you

lol, not that considerate it would seem Julie, we just finished the burning today! We raked all the paths out the front into little piles and lit them, most burned up instantly and only a couple are still smoking but it will all be cleared up by tomorrow, and will be smoke-free by Saturday

Gail all burning of leaves or anything else (except for BBQ) is banned in Sydney because of the smoke pollution. Something nostalgic about Melbourne winters and the smell of burning leaves.
Pleased Robert will be OK. Didn't he have an accident with his truck in the last 12 months with some serious injuries that he recovered from quickly.
I went back to bed and had a very good sleep. Aches and pains have gone today so have caught up with washing (drying in the sun room as still some rain about), shopping and of course Emails and things on the pooter.
Cooking a pot of steak and kidney to put in the freezer to have another day. Steak and vegies for us tonight.

Hubby complained that while I was away he got home a couple of nights about 7pm or later and then had to cook some dinner! I said "how do you think I feel if we have been out and you just sit in front of the TV and I have to cook?". Generally if I will be away I leave meals that he only has to heat. There was only one of those this time.

What a crazy, ever changing world...

Who could have thought that in 2012 young people in Moscow would put on a "flash mob" happening, dancing to an 83 year old American song written by a Russian born American/Jew (Irving Berlin) whose last name is the capital of Germany ...

Tami.... I just try to do what I feel is right. Many times friends have called me in the night with emergencies, and I've helped. This one was a minor one. I once did 18 hours in a blizzard to help out a friend whose car had died. I feel honored that people feel that they can depend on me when it's important.

Good Morning friends. At least I think it is morning, the clock says it is 9:46 am. But, I was promised sunshine this morning and it is solid cloudy once again. I am beginning to wilt. I am part plant, I need sunshine to function at my best.

Had a nice long hot beat-y massage shower this morning, thawed out the bone cold achies. Now to treat dry skin and dress, Back to the winter closet again today for long sleeved shirt.

Tami, thanks for the coffee, I need it this morning to wake up.

To any of you who text with friends or family, has this happened to you? Last week, I was sleeping late after a restless night. At what normally would be a reasonable time, daughter #2 texts me. My text alarm is long, loud and annoying, choses so if i get tornado warnings while I sleep the alarm will wake me. No, there is no way I can find to have the weather text ring differently from family texts. I answer daughter that I am sleeping and will return message when I get up. I cuddle back down under the covers and drift off to sleep when it rings AGAIN. " Sorry, later". Now, I did not need the sorry, I needed to go back to sleep!!

happened again this morning, my niece who is going to classes to be certified nursing assistant. I said congrats on her test score and I was sleeping in, would be back later. Again, snuggle in my blanket and phone rings again. "sleep well, feel better soon". AGGGGGGGG

Would you return a text message if someone told you they were sleeping? I know I would not, but how do I politely tell niece and daughter, after you see the word sleep, tiptoe away from your phone, just as I hope you would tiptoe out of the room if you saw me sleeping in real time!

heidi, glad that Robert and his passenger are not injured seriously. You do more good deeds, I do hope they return to you three fold.

Let me post this fore I run out of room. more in a few.
