Finally got the cat to eat something. Some fresh rump steak that I bought today. And we are having salmon rissoles as I opened a tin of salmon yesterday to see if I could tempt the cat!!! (I only used a teaspoon full to try on the cat )

Heard the 9pm fireworks and could see the glow from our bathroom window. Could probably see the fireworks if I got up on the roof or walked to the top of the next street. (too many trees in front of us here). We are about 12k (7 1/2 miles) from the city. It is a warm clear night with lots of stars.
should be a nice night for Suzy and the Pride singers, especially Ally.

Trivia, John's original middle name was Winston. He disliked it and changed it to Ono after marrying Yoko.
I also thought of Rusty but a close friend had a Lab named Rusty and I don't want to look like I am copying her.
Freddy made me think of Freddy Krueger, not Freddy Mercury. I do like Queen. Dylan's favorite song as a baby was "We Will Rock You." I have seen Ringo twice in concert and he waa actually really good. He was never my favorite, but he puts on a good show.
FIL suggested Ringo but it sounds too much like the kids song "Bingo"

to all my SA9a friends. Watched the fireworks on TV but the actual bangs were very loud, and two or three minutes behind the fireworks. Just like lightning and thunder in a storm.
My wish for you all is happiness and good health.

I give up, second post lost to cyber space, just trying to ask Mr Google what 61F is in C Whatever it is, it is warm for New Years Eve. Headed for a high of 68 today (20C) rather warm for Dec 31, but I like it. Perhaps I can open windows and doors and air out this germy house? Nothing like fresh air after an illness, fresh air and sunshine are healing.

Coffee is ready now, perhaps I need it, might keep me from loosing this post also.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all the DUGs and hope to be back to wish same to everyone else as it becomes our turn to greet the year. HUGS to all, I think I am safe now, but promise not to breathe on ya

It's 55℉ / 12℃ here right now, with an expected high of 61℉ / 16℃! This is insane for this time of year. But I'll have great temperatures for my drive tomorrow.

I have the travel cage ready for tomorrow. This guy has five lovebirds for sale, so I'll get them all. The price is low, so there's nothing to lose. I can sell some lovebirds to a pet shop that says they'll take all I want to sell. I'm not going to keep the creamino and I'll probably sell one of the two pastels that I have, so I can sell one or two of these new birds as well.

friends. We had fun last night. First the singing and fire works in Berry, then we followed our NYE tradition and threw confetti everywhere. I'll post some photos later - I hope I took one of the confetti angel.

Peace, love, happiness, and good health for all of you in 2011.

Happy New Year to my wonderful SA friends - and for most of us, I hope the 2011 is a vast improvement on 2010. Out with the old, in with the new.

As usual, we shall pay for our warm December weather. Tornadoes! The approaching storm system has dropped over 20 tornadoes already, farther west of us, killing 5 or more. A tornado watch is in effect just west of us, in Mississippi, and will move to Alabama later tonight( our weather usually comes from the west). IF we must have tornado weather, why can't it be daytime? Staying up late for new years is one thing, but staying up later for tornado watch is another. bummer.

Please take care, MizT! We will probably take our tree down on Sunday as well.

My chest congestion has left me exhausted. It started to loosen up a bit about an hour ago, so I hope that continues. We are supposed to go to the outlaws for New Years dinner tomorrow, but I don't think I'll go. They are in their 80's and I don't want to pass something on to them. Today is the first day almost all week that I actually got dressed.

Weather here is unusually warm - +7C for tomorrow, with a 30% chance of rain. I could get used to this.

In case I don't get back later: Happy New Year to my American and Canadian friends. I'm so tired I don't know if I can stay up until midnight.

Just in time to be able to wish those down under Happy New Year and to the top-siders...it's drawing nigh, so happiest of New Years to you also. I'm so sleepy, have only had about 3 hours sleep since getting back from Florida, so I will be on my way to bed shortly and hopefully sleeping when the year turns.
I know Tami told you about our meet, but I really want to thank her for bringing out the whole famiy for the lunch, espically since they had plans for the evening too..That was great Tami and it was fun meeting everyone. Kristine got a kick out of you getting the chocloate syrup for her...she happily told her mom all about it...she was so quiet I wondered if she was enjoying herself, but it seems as if she did. Remember next time plan a trip north so we can meet up on my turf and you can get to see Andy's old stomping grounds...lol. I have a couple of good pictures that I hope to one day post of the day...
Okay..eyes are getting heavy and I still have a few things to do before getting in bed so I'll close with hugs and get well wishes added to the New years wishes...stay safe one and all and I do hope to be around a little more frequently in 2011. Peace!♥

My stars, check out the last sentence!!:
There is a real sense of anticipation in the air, as you sense that what was denied you in 2010 will be repaid in abundance in 2011, especially on the romantic front. For the first time since 2003 you're moving into a New Year with Venus, planet of love yet to reach your sign, something that usually happens around the time of your birthday. Now just a week away there is a real sense that the future owes you big time and that it had better deliver.

Good Evening, Friends! It's nearly 11 p.m. here, so 1 hour to go for Of course, it's already rather late to wish to many of the rest of you! Even so, Happy New Year!

It has been a long day! I had to get up before 6 to have enough time for breakfast, shower, etc. and leave by 7 to go for blood donation. It was a platelet donation, and they also got a unit of red blood cells. I had never done a platelet donation before. It took 2 hours. By the time I got home, it was 3.5 hours since I left - quite a bit of time for a blood donation.

I am finally up to page 486, so will try to begin doing summaries again.

Hi to those who visited on previous pages but I missed: eaa, Viv, Nola, Brenda, Rena, Rolanda, Vicky, Broni, Mamacita, Judy, Theresa, MizTricia, Suzy, Gail, Tami, Heidi, June, Broni, CynB, vdV and anyone I've missed!

Hi to those who posted on page 486: Suzy, Tami the T, Heidi, Theresa, June, Gail and Broni!

Nola, I hope you and your family have all been able to avoid the flood waters. Thinking of you and crossing fingers!

Thinking of those who are dealing with flooding in Queensland! I hope Susan and family aren't impacted!

I'm hoping those who have been sick or injured (MizT, Theresa, Heidi, Suzy's Mum, etc.) are all feeling better!

Suzy, Ebob was up at 3:30 a.m. loudly closing doors? Had she gone to bed - or was she still up? At least that way you knew she was still in the house.

Tami, congratulations to you and your family on the new addition to your family! I hope he brings many hours of pleasure and companionship to all of you!

Suzy, I hope your Mum has a safe trip home! Thinking positive thoughts that she will let her passenger share the driving.

June, I'm so glad your cat is still around - and hopefully safe and healthy!

Gail, I'm so sorry to hear about the fire ban and fire worries in your area! I hadn't thought about how all the earlier rain and growth would impact things as it dried out. I hope all are safe!

Now on to page 487! Hi, Judy, June, V Viv, Theresa, Tami, Hawkmoon, MizTricia, Heidi, Nola, Broni, CynB, Canuk Greg, Mamacita, Gail and anyone I've missed!

It's now officially here!
