Brenda, I am so sorry about your friend. I hope she pulls through.
My bag doesn't have tonnes of compartments, just a few.
Bean, that sounds like a long day for Rolanda!
MizT, I'm trying to remember where I've seen lines in the middle of a walking path before, maybe Redondo Beach? I love the carvings. My mother watched a man carve an eagle out of a lump of wood at the markets/a swapmeet once. He sells them for a few thousand dollars each.

Feeling ok Bean, slept like a log though! Can't wait to get into the last of it next week. Hope all goes well at the docd.
MizT, I did pop in earlier and had a looksee through your park photos, great carvings, tranquil looking place.
Bye for now.

Thank you all for visiting my page and seeing our little park. I love it so much wanted to share it with all of you. It is always neat and clean, not always the norm with parks up in Birmingham. One more little tidbit about our " river". I could toss a rock across it and wade from side to side without getting my nickers wet! most pplaces, knee deep would do it. So i once was wondering, why is it called a river, what makes it a river and other bodies of water near it's size called a stream or a creek. Well, I found out. River is earned for it's length, over so many miles, and it becomes named a river.
OK, enough to learn for one day
I am off to bed, fore it is tomorrow, catch you all later. Hugs to all.

Hey! I just learned something! And I always thought it had to do with width.
That IS a cool park, MizT. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Hello, All! Just past midnight here, and need to be up by 5. YIKES!
Brenda, sending extra prayers for your friend. I hope your daughter stays healthy for her trip to Canada!
Nola, hope you're feeling better. New K countertops sound great!
MizT, glad you're less achey and you have such good friends. The carvings in the park are great. Once saw someone carve a tree trunk into a bear with a chain saw. Thanks for enlightening us on the river/creek difference.
Heidi, hope the land sale goes through so you can expand the fields and access to road.
Suzy, your new handbag sounds wonderful!
Bean, thank you for the continued Rolalogue! It's always enjoyable - and amazing.
Broni, we miss you, but understand sometimes chatting here isn't the only thing to do. GREAT email you sent today!
Tami, hope you get your internet back soon!
June, nice to see you here. Hope all is well in your family!
It has been several days since I submitted new "stained glass" avatars. Gath must be busy.
Thought I should let you all know that the coming week will be ULTRA-busy, so I may not get to visit here daily - or even very often. Please, take care of yourselves! Stay healthy and happy! May all of your celebrations be wongerful! I'll check in when I can.
I have no memory of other comments, so must hit the sack here.

We went to the local shopping centre and had a nice lunch. The best part was when we went to pay I found out that my loyalty card gave us one 'free' lunch. (You get a free one after you have paid for 10 regular meals.)
We did not go to Huangshan but the photos of the place are spectacular. I hope Rola had a good sunset and sunrise while she was there.

Just wanted to check in and add my compliments to the comments today. Interesting reading.
MzT...the park pictures were very tranquil. I see why you'd enjoy the park so much...wish there was something like that here...I'd sure enjoy it. However, I was just enthralled with your Christmas bags...I know you enjoy gift wrapping and it shows, but the bags are special...would love to place an order for a couple to keep for myself....hmmmmm
Thanks for the information about what makes a river...I was with Heidi...thought it had to do width and depth....not just the length...
Brenda, sorry things don't seem to be working out for your friend easily...but prayers are our best hope that a change will come about.
Nola, feel better....I know what you are going through since I've just gotten over the same thing. It takes a lot out of you doesn't it?
Julie, you will be missed....and to everyone that I didn't single out...know that you too are special to me, but my poor brain closes down on me before I can get around to all...
Have a great nights sleep for those who are ready ( or already there) for sleep, and a bright , productive fun day to the rest...no matter if its early or drawing towards evening,....do something special for yourselves..because you are worth it! Peace.

Evening all!
Hubby and I have just been out to a meat draw - won a tray of steaks and played the pokies (slot machines) for an hour starting with only $4. Not a bad evening.
Discovered tonight my niece is in quarantine for 5 days. They didn't test her for the flu, just gave her a prescription for $70 worth of medication and told her to stay home for 5 days.

Suzy, hope your niece is alright. Sounds like a bit of 'overkill' quarantining her without a test.

I agree about the quarantine overkill, and the medication too. She isn't in a high risk group and would probably get over it without $70 worth of meds....

Hi, I'm back. Haven't read to catch up yet. Meghan is home. She had a fabulous time. She was over tired though. She only got one hour of sleep the night before she left Hungary and then she was traveling for 23 hours by the time I picked her up from the train.(she ended up taking a train from the airport out to my hometown) My mom didn't look too good. She seemed more frail than usual. My brother and sil were up on vacation from Maryland. My sil looked terrible. I'm not sure what is wrong, but they moved 2 years ago and I think she went into a deep depression because she misses her old house next to the beach.(the next town over from my mom) She seemed like she had taken something because she was completely incoherent. As you can tell, I'm still worried about both of them.

Stella, hope that Meghan recovers soon from her lack of sleep. Only the young can go so long without sleeping. Hope your Mom and sister both improve soon.
Suzy, congrats on winning steaks, a lovely useful prize.
I also thought the vine reference meant good fun with a bottle of wine, till I read further hehehe
HI VIV, good to see you, where ya been so long?
MAMACITA, a friend got me started on the Christmas bags, I should get back to making a few more, perhaps when I do a couple could wing their way to you. A request much easier to fulfill than those silly sisters wanting my QUILT hehehe.
Gail, hope you and Judy had an enjoyable tea, your contribution sounds lovely.
Ahh, more tragic news from China, with that earth quake. So very many homeless. this was another story I ran into following links from Suzy's story's page.
Brenda, so hoping that your friend can make some improvement and your next message from her family is more encouraging. Prayers going out daily for her.
My tail feathers are dragging this morning, did not sleep well. I need coffee, the pot has just finished brewing it for me, I will be back later once coffee has worked it's magic.

Evening folks...
Gotta say that Judy put on a very impressive afternoon tea for us!
Thought about taking over some vanilla slices... glad I didn't...would have been such a case of overkill! I demolished more than my share of a plate of cheese 'n ham muffins...YUM YUM YUM... the bun was pretty good as well...
Rain is forecast for tomorrow...not sure how much more of the grape vine I will get done. Might have to get back to the 'boxes'... at least there is no shortage of jobs to be done inside...
and now
I'm still tired...

I need to move the horses into a different pasture, then I've got to move more hay. We now have more than 200 of the 300 rolls

Stella...glad Meghan had a great time and arrived home safely.I bet she sleeps well for a few days.
MizT...the river looks deeper than that, and I didn't know what made a stream or creek a river either.

This is a very unusual hour fo me to be up!!!
Was disturbed by the itching of my feet... I should have taken an antihistamine last night instead of trying to remove all the skin with my nails [or anything else abrasive that I could find]... had to resort to a large dose of Phenergan... [couldn't find the smaller dose pills] Before I dosed myself up they looked like little red footballs and the [R] foot had started to ooze... YUK!! My left foot is almost normal now and my R foot is so less swollen it is almost miraculous... the swelling is dramatically reduced and red rash is now very subdued. Where would allergic individuals like me be without antihistamines!! I suspect I will be out for the count today!! I'm going to get back to bed while I am still able...
But first I have one more post to make...

Rolalogue July 11th Beijing
Sightseeing around the capital…
Their hotel must have a good location. The itinerary leads me to understand that they are going to walk to Qianmen street, and then go north to Tianan Men Square and the Forbidden City. Check it out on Google maps… there is a big moat / body of water around the Forbidden City. Memories…the satellite view in particular. Their have been a lot of changes in the areas outside the city walls since we were there.
In the afternoon They will be off to the Silk Street Markets where they will linger [and spen all their money] until dinner. Dinner of course will be some of the best Peking Duck in Beijing. YUM YUM YUM….my mouth is watering at the memory.
After dinner they have a choice of activities; shopping or nightlife. If it were I …it would be BED with a local travel guide ….[I mean a book…..not the translator…]
Now I am going back to bed to sleep off the Phenergan...

Bean, glad the itching and swelling is better, maybe you needed the big dose of the Phenergan! Do you know what you are allergic to? I must have had sympathy pains, I had itchy foot last night, never you mind that I did it first, it was anticipatory sympathy. hehehe I went for the benedryl first thing, if I had started scratching, I would still be scratching.
My spell check does not like that spelling of phenergan, but offers nothing close so I go with my and Bean's memory of how it should be spelled.
I got my Drivers license renewed. Horrible photo, but I did get to keep my glasses on this time! I took them off and into my purce, in the dark, so the photo grey turned clear, put them on just as I started in for my photo. Since they were not dark tinted, they were not sunglasses and were allowed. OH, the good news, I did not get charged for a late fee. I do not know if there is a grace peroid after they expire, ir if they just did not collect it. I did not ask about it, just paid what i was told and went on my merry way.
SUZY, Meant to mention this earlier, one of the things CRAFTS got for a bit. I know what you mean about the longer strap on your new purse, and how you mean to wear it, cause that is what I do also if I am shopping where there is not a buggy. Bandoleer style, is what I would call it.

Morning all!
I slept in really late for me this morning! Boy was I hanging for coffee when I finally woke up.
MizT, here it is not recommended that you put your purse down anywhere when you are shopping. When I had the one with the short straps I used to wear it until I had something like dog food to put on top of it. I had heard for many years about people taking wallets out of handbags, and then it happened to my mother!

The closing on Monday is just the final formalities. I have the land. All details are agreed on. The lawyer is just drawing up the paperwork. It's only 5 acres, so it's not a big deal. But I will have an option on another 5 acres adjoining it later on, if I want it.
