Oh dear - as I said earlier, I went to see 'High School Musical 3' with my grandies today - they loved it and it definately was squeaky clean - but, I AM a grumpy old woman and found it mind-numbingly dull. I do enjoy spending time with my grandies but the highlight was two seperate bathroom breaks during the film. I walked out fumbling for a cigarette - Broni will understand - sometimes you need one!!!!

Madagascar 2 next week - please tell me it's got something in it to hold an adults attention!! Anyone seen it?

No hope of me catching up with the pages here lately.
I have been a very busy little bee.
I did not think many people would order Avon this time around seeing as it will not be delivered to me until the 24th Dec.
Then I have to pack it and deliver it and I do not know if I will get it morning or afternoon!!
I just did a total, $803.
I submit it tomorrow night.

Today I had a lovely lunch with John and Jane and we exchanged cards and gifts.
John was most surprised to receive one of those electronic crossword solvers.
I went halves with the cost with Jane for his.
She bought me one and also one for herself.
You should have seen us with cards and paper everywhere. I had a great time as usual.

Good morning all! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....we're expecting a big snow storm today! Good thing I picked up the girls yesterday!

CynB, went to see Madagascar 2 the day it opened with hubby, my sister, bil and Ian. 4 adults and 1 child. We all loved it! But I also loved the first one. It has a lot of adult humor in it that goes right over the kids heads(the best kind).

Viv, sounds like you had a lovely time.

I've been very busy lately and today will be crazy trying to get the house cleaned before my inlaws arrive tomorrow. Hubby had scheduled a day off of work on Tuesday so we could finish up the Xmas shopping. Doctors appointments for the boys and looking for a car on Wednesday. Left 7am yesterday for Boston to get the girls and got back at 4:30. I found a minivan on Wednesday and picked it up last night when I got back from Boston. Good thing I got it before the storm! The purchase made me a little sick to my stomach, but I'm glad I got it. I think I got a really good deal too, so that helps.

Looks like the schools will be closing early today due to the storm. Ian's not happy about having to go to school. Hubby will have to leave work early to pick him up if they close.

The older 3 are in for a rude awakening this morning. They cannot sleep in since we have to get the house ready. They stayed out late last night, they still weren't home when I got up at 2:30am, because I think they figured they would just sleep in until the afternoon - NOT! I was so tired after the trip and the stress of the new van, that I fell asleep at 8pm! Normally I'd get a bunch of washes done this early, especially since I've let it go all week, but I think the dryer is broken and hubby can't even look at it until Monday! Brendan was doing his laundry on Monday and it was making weird sounds. Not a good time for it to break!

Well, now that I've cp'd and nobody is around, I should get ffuts done. Have a great night/day!

Good luck catching up Susan. I've been trying to catch up for weeks, everytime I pop in another 10 or 20 pages has passed. Anyway if I don't happen to have time next week I'd like to wish EVERYONE a Very MERRY Christmas & I'll try harder next year to catch up

Hi Stella - thanks for letting me know about Madagascar 2. And I agree about adult humour that goes over the heads of children being the best kind. I saw Madagascar 1 and didn't mind it so it sounds like I might not be so bored this time!!

Mariane, I will tell you if you tell me. I just popped in to see how many pages I was having to catch up on.

I had a bit of a panic earlier whe I was looking for pressies to wrap. I couldn't find one we had bought for a friend and I needed it for tonight.
Panic over now as I found it sandwiched between two bigger boxes, now I have got to go and wrap pressies.

our window of opportunity to drive through the mountain passes has gotten smaller. we need to leave tonight. we would go earlier, but hubby got those neil diamond tickets, and we have to go to the concert. we will leave here at 11 PM, and drive straight through. i hope with three drivers it won't be too terrible. the donner party went through the sierra nevada mountain range. we will be going through the blue mountains (the worst!) then through the cascade range, which is connected to the sierra nevadas. we also have some lower mountains here and in idaho to get through. can you tell i am nervous about driving? besides the driving conditions i have a bunch of to deal with. gee, who wants to come with us? doesn't it sound FUN!!! (said with all the sarcasm i can muster.)

i probably won't have time to wish each of you a merry christmas individualy. i DO hope everyones' holidays are filled with love and laughter.
