The food in your freezer Lizzy will not last 5 days in a Melbourne summer like Tricias did when there was snow about! One time when my daughter lost power she loaded the full freezer onto her horse float and took it to a friend who had power. They just run a cord out to the horse float!(A small box freezer)

June - 29c expected here today. It was so muggy yesterday and even though it was only 31c, I put on the air-con for a few hours.

Heidi, well now we don't have to worry about IH's health. It was a bit worrying for a while there when it looked like he was going to do something thoughtful... I saw some of the finches in our local pet shop yesterday (we bought 2 bettas). Think they were about $35 - $40 each. They weren't actually priced, but the other finches ranged from $12 to $40 so I figure they'd be in there somewhere.

June, that was very creative of your daughter! And generous of her friends.

Hello Sudokuland! Haven't been here for a little while - my daughter has just moved out, and we spent yesterday carting her stuff and helping her put her new place in order. Had to take her desk to pieces at our place, then put it back together at her place - and it was one of those really heavy ones. Left her unpacking her kitchen and deciding where everything will go - I think we are all pretty worn-out now!
Gail - glad to hear you had a nice anniversary. Take care of yourself! (Hugs!)

Judy, reading about helping your daughter made me laugh. I remember moving into my house from an apartment when I was pregnant with Mitchell. We moved 1 week before I was due. Both sets of parents were helping us and no one was letting my do anything. My mom kept trying to put my kitchen stuff were she wanted it to go and I kept trying to give her directions from the chair I was sitting in. It was actually very funny. My MIL was actually acting like a mediator.

I am still talking to my internet company. I have been on the phone for an hour and still haven't solved my problem.

Very slow on the puzzles today - feeling kind of fuzzy, don't know why. Sorry about your Internet problems Tami ... perhaps you shouldn't be such a Troublemaker! ;)

Good Morning SA7, only the one D today at work. Hope all is well, no time to catch up yet, but did get my cousin to the train station on time then go lost driving home, just another adventure in my driving career.

Broni, getting lost sometimes is part of the fun of driving. Obviously, you found your way home. My internet company could not help me. They are changing their homepage to "powered by Yahoo" and it will take a while until all my email can be retrieved easily. Right now I have to log out of one to check the other. I used to be able to flip from one to another. I check email for my hubby and both kids. Yes, they have their own email accounts but only mommy knows the password. I check all email before they are allowed to look at it.

IH FINALLY fed the cows. He will be allowed to live a little longer.

Supper is ready now. I need to scream at IH. I'm supposed to be resting completely, and I had to make supper.

Heidi, today would have been a perfect day to put something in the crock pot before you left. Need any recipes? I have a file with links to hundreds of recipes, my sister sent them to me. Would you like it?

Since I am home most days, do not do much crock pot cooking now, I did when I worked though. Now I like cooking FAST. I do use my pressure cooker a lot, can make a nice stew with only 15 minutes cooking time!

Heidi...so nice to have you join Judy and I on this rung...I'm quite happy to sit here nattering with the two of you...all I need is for Vici to climb a rung and join us and it will be bliss....[not that I wouldn't happily sit on a step with any of you....hmm...except Dame Edna...she makes me laugh so much I would probably FALL OFF!!!!!]

There is no way I will ever catch Suzy...BTW..has anybody been counting the number of posts she makes each day? Tami perhaps you should start another spreadsheet...

Can't remember when I last had time to post on here...either a case of CRAFTS's or being a while back... Have managed to catch up on the reading...even found time to do a puzzle..YAY...

Have to confess to wasting a little time on Facebook...been finding all sorts of wonderful people popping up there.....I finally think I am getting the hang of it...has taken a little while but has been worth it...
