Although my father did not die on Veteran's Day, Veteran's Day was my father's birthday, so I understand the feelings of appropriateness of the day for a vet. May your father rest in peace.

Sarah, it has been sprayed with a coating of polyurethane (Estapol). Makes it easier to dust and keep clean.

Thank you Sarah, I've had a full day of visitors and had fun at Bills golf Christmas party.

Thanks Sarah. I have been celebrating this birthday for over a week so I can continue for an extra day. Actually I am feeling rather well at the moment. Just had my 6th. day of Chemo/Ray treatment but guess I will feel worse as the treatment continues.(28 sessions in all)

Thank you Sarah, it feels good to come out of the shade but only when its night, it's too hot during the day at the moment.

Thanks for the commiseration and the cold pack advice. We use bags of frozen veggies. Yesterday I used green beans as a cold pack on the way to urgent care. They thawed in the car while we were inside, so we ate them with dinner! Today I have been applying green peas 10 minutes at a time, then back into the freezer. We can't eat those until I buy more frozen veggies.
