Hi Julie, thought I'd post over here so my comment didn't get lost in the pages you are missing. It was great to hear from you! I hope the rehab continues to progress - it sounds difficult but I know you are up to it! Sending hugs, thoughts and wishes that you will be home soon.

Welcome home, Julie! Keep those feet up...wishing you speedy recovery.
Personally, I always HATED PT, but it was amazing as far as the healing process was concerned with my back surgery a number of years ago. Keeping you in my prayers and thoughts!

Hi Julie,
Thank you so much for the wonderful message, that I must say arrived perfectly timed.
I had my operation three and a half weeks ago, and have thought I am going insane or even worse that the anaesthetic has caused early onset dementia, and believe me I have heard of that happening. I was standing in the kitchen the other day, drinking a big glass of water, and noticed something in the microwave, strange it was Gizmo’s (my dog’s) dinner, and I could have sworn I had just fed him, so went into the lounge room where Gizzy normally eats and to my surprise found my lasagne and salad on the floor, just one of the hundreds of strange things I have done lately.
Well the tears they are unreal, I am at the best of times an emotional person, but this is just like an overflow of (well to be honest I don’t know) crazy stuff.
Today is a bad day for me though as it is my Lenny’s anniversary, he passed away 7 years ago today, and I have been a mess all day.
With luck now that today is nearly over with, I can try and find just a touch of Christmas spirit.
Thanks again Julie, and the same to you, if you want to vent, or have a cyber cry with someone who knows how it feels, feel free to make contact.
Thank heaps Love from Liz XXXXXXXXXX

Oh Julie, I am sorry I have been so out of the loop. I missed your birthday & surgery & probably a lot of other stuff. Please forgive me for not noticing what was happening in your life while I was wrapped up in my own problems with poor Kyley. How are you coming along with your recovery? You must be doing some tough PT I'm sure. And it's probably frustrating to not be able to get around as well as you'd like during the holiday season. I say let the rest of the family handle the decorating, shopping, cooking etc. & you take it easy this year. I wish you & all those you love a very Merry Christmas and a Happy & HEALTHY New Year

Hi Julie, this sofa (new the day the photo was taken on Monday) is now in the room for which it was bought. This is ow in my smallest bedroom/craft room. My actual lounge suite is on the opposite wall to that and the one at right angles too. These are still brown leather with the added luxury of being recliners. Where the sofa was in the photo there is normally a large brown leather beanbag which the dogs claim too

Julie... That old oak was mostly dead due to several lightning strikes over the years, and an ill advised fire near it done by a previous owner of this property. There wouldn't be enough wood worth salvaging. It's not going to be ground up. It'll be burnt. I'll hold off on the fire until I need another funeral pyre for a critter that's passed away.

Julie, thank you for your welcome. I think I've been floating around Sudoku since early 2006 - before own pages, avatars, dated postings etc. I know I lurked at the time baby Liam from Toronto was born.

As you can see from my page I've met CynB and Broni and just recently I met Gail and Vici in Melbourne when I was on holidays. I've also met Susan from Ingham a couple of times as well - I miss seeing her post. Actually I miss a lot of the "old" posters who rarely come anymore.

I hope your knees are coming along well. You were very brave to have both done at the same time. My MIL had one knee replacement 5-6 years ago and talks of having the other done. At nearly 86 I'm not certain that it's a good idea but it will be her choice.

Hi Julie, yes that is my house but we did not get the snow here, we got rain. Towns just to the west of me got a couple of feet but somehow warm air came up the middle, so no snow. We were looking forward to snow. There are a lot of people in the area without power. We only lost it for a few minutes. The next school district west is closed. Ian was very disappointed that it missed us by a few miles. It was very strange.

I've heard quite a bit about Temple Grandin. She's revolutionized the way livestock are worked these days. In fact, just a few days ago, several of us were talking about her and her remarkable influence on the livestock industry.

Hey Julie!
Thanks for stopping by my page...and I sure wish you could send me some snow, too! We have had such a relatively warm winter - rain, rain, rain!
Sometimes it feels so overwhelming trying to keep up on SA - the pages pile up so quickly. Of course, you always provide a great summary for those of us who step away for a while. I do love your postings!
How is your recovery going? I remember getting so sick of PT, but the desire to have a normal life back was really motivating.
Thanks again for stopping by. What a sweetheart you are!

Hi Julie,
Thanks for the concern, but other than being sick of this snow, I'm fine. I don't have to worry about any of the snow removal, that's taken care of by the association, as is most of the outside stuff. When its really bad, a couple of my good neighbors will walk the dog at least once to give me a hand, and I make sure that I am well stocked on all of the necessities...so all in all, life goes on. They clean up quickly and fully, so I'm able to drive within a matter of hours after the storm. The big problem is the city isn't able to do as well as our areas, so parking and stuff is hard there...but as I said...life goes on.

Yes think I will make a rug out of those knitted squares.
The colours nearly match your avatar.
As you can see by many of the items in my photo album, I like the colour purple. lol
