No, I haven't checked out the recipe page - hadn't really noticed it before, I just put up the recipe because Bean asked for it. I've made several batches this holiday season - they seem to disappear very quickly, and personally I love them, they just melt in the mouth. Of course they are horribly bad for you, but that's Christmas, isn't it? I don't know how they compare to other shortbread, because I haven't really tried any for a long time - I figure, when I've found something the whole family loves, don't mess around with it! ;)

Thanks for your message welcoming me baa-aa-aa-ck to the cyber-fold. I have received so many nice messages, and I am so deeply moved by these that secret dry tears stream down my face. I need a facial catheter to catch the tears. I realised this was a nice website, but that really came 'fold' to me when I creaked into my puter chair armed with my crook, and then shepherded myself through a maze of passwords deeply lost in memory from erstwhile months, to reach Sudokuland once again, where all the interesting baa-ings and bleatings have been encouraging me back into full order, and where I am earning my reward of luscious verdant grass. Yum-yum! Munch-munch! Burp-burp!

Julie, saw your post last night and hope the acupuncture is doing the job! Sounds as if there are several on this site experiencing ongoing pain. Luckily, mine was self-inflicted and should subside when I stop trying to do everything in the yard in one day. (I had yet to learn that, but am now!) Hope you are feeling better!

My sympathies, thoughts and prayers for the loss of your Hubby's Aunt.. at 96 she lived to a great age!!!



I see that your MIL is 941/2. how is her Health and Wellbeing.
My mum is heading for 90 in August, unfortunately her health at the moment is not too good..
Her middle brother is turning 93 in August. He is planning on coming along with other family members from Sydney for Mum's Birthday Party in August.

thanks for the well wishes for my up coming surgery, from what I understand the surgeon tells me I will need to take thyroxin for the rest of my life, and this will need to be monitored on a monthly basis, I think this is until they get the level I need sorted, apparently if I take too much it can cause weight loss, now why would I want to monitor that hey, easy weight loss program, I need to do some more research though, as Im still not understanding the whole thing, and research is the only way I will be able to work out what questions to ask.
Any info you can give will be of help, thyroxin is that HRT ? do you know ?

Julie, thanks for the message about the rings. The sadest part was JD's mum passed away a couple of months after JD and he had not told his brother about it. That is all history now.
