Hey Julie...I'm traveling around trying to catch up with some of you that I've been missing lately to say hello and hope all is well. You are so good at staying on top of the comments and page visiting...I don't know how you do it, but I'm always happy to see your cheery comments. Looking forward to catching up with you on SA3 soon.

I used a Nikon CoolPix 8800. Took the telephoto to max and had the camera on a tripod. Took about 30 pictures before the clouds moved in. I used Picasa to enhance the digital photos. It was a nice event. I'm glad the cloud cooperated.

I signed up to Ancestry.co.uk as that is where the family is based(UK). I didn't sign up to Ancestry.com as for a non US resident that is expensive.
I just keep going over and over the census records. The problem here has been two fold - a family split and the fact that records are sealed for one hundred years. 1901 is the latest census available. Although I can go back to the first ever census in 1841
My biggest problem by far though is on my fathers side. He hailed from N.Ireland and was catholic. The Birth, marriage and death records are not available, to my knowledge, through the Mormons(who run the Ancestry sites) and I don't see myself going there to troll through the church records. This is because they tended to have baptismal certificate instead of birth certificates. It is amazing that he was the 3rd of 12 children all but one of whom married and had children and I've not come across one of them doing any research!
Good luck with your research. If you have British rels. and you know the town or village they come from try CuriousFox.com where you can research by town name. Good luck.

off work today to do errands and Taxes !! I work in the hospital part-time in physical therapy but I teach some water classes at the fitness center - I teach in the warm water pool - a low back class, arthritis class and my Ai Chi class - that one is like tai chi - has set moves but with a medatition focus - we work on slow breaths, being quiet and calm - at least for 30 min. I also teach the pre-natal class and that one is quicker pace - more of what you would do. I enjoy the classes - no paperwork - except for the ai chi one - have to find things to read and reflect upon - I just wrote my own piece -- going on a dog sled ride in the middle of the night and seeing the northern lights, the moon and stars and coming home to a dawn. Well, I'm on the computer to figure out % for some items I sold. Take Care and enjoy your day, Mary

Hi Julie, and thank you for the kind thoughts. Yes, I've got the anti-oxidants going full force and the vitamin supplements flowing--CoEnzyme Q10, Omega-3, plus the PreserVision stuff. Plenty of spinach salads, broccoli, eggs--I'm prepped for battle! (Ate healthily and exercised before, but now, look out!) Bless you for caring, and have a wonderful day.

thank you for your idea's and love and support. I too have experienced sciatica and I think I cried during that more than this to be honest, that is horrible, i'm glad we can share our pain/experience with each other.
That was some years ago, and I've had flare ups- but nothing like that before, it sent me to the hospital and I couldn't move for about a week, so I hear you on your pain there.
About the releasing the pain and picturing it go away- i very much believe in that healing and thank you for reminding me about it- i do appreicate it, as my mind gets caught up in the whirlwind of stress/fear and more that I forget sometimes some of the simple remedies or calming actions I can take...
Thanks again, i'll try to keep up on site, each day.
you're great!

Thanks for joining in the fun for the 'twins'. Golf is great. Walking 72+ holes a week now. Our muni is in perfect condition even with new Zoyzia being sodded in it will be even better. Really getting used to playing in the wind now. Having a good swing coach and learning how to hit a solid knockdown shot makes all the difference. Just today's was 25 mph from the south with gusts to 35 and two of the par 5's are dead straight into the teeth of the wind. You'd better be ready to swing between gusts or you could miss the ball entirely being blown off balance. (The voice of experience.)

Thanks for the prayers, Julie. I do have an editor, but the first two rewrites were my own. Incidentally one of my critics has been Keith from CA using his skills as a long time English teacher.

hi Julie...just wondering where you are from...pretty big state that and it appears to have 2 time zones...is that correct?
I'm trying to slow the insidious onset of that dreadful ailment that causes CRAFT's disease...LOL..
One of my activities in this challenge is trying to keep track of where all of the topsiders are and what time it is when I'm chatting with them....

Well Julie, one of these days . . .! When you least expect it, someone goes to visit someone, more hear about it and voila! A sudoku meeting. We really started with just a few of us in California. Keith and his wife Lynn, of course, Kathy and Rob, Vici, and me. But more thought. Why not? Mamacita used it as an excuse to see her great grandbaby in San Francisco. Jane came because she and Kathy are such great friends. It just grew! It'll happen to you!
