Hi Rob
(another Robin, how nice to find one!!) Thanks for your visit to my page..Ive read all the above chatter and hope all is well with you and the family. Here's a nice drop of Tawny Port from the Barossa Valley in South Australia, and some lovely white camellias that have come out now in my garden. They love the rain we are having now.
Cheers
Rob

Rob, thank you for your nice compliments on our Flickr pictures. We know we are a lucky family so I guess that's what keeps us smiling. I have looked at your Flickr photos again, too. You've added lots since I was here last. Your yard is SO pretty! Is it you or Bruce that has the green thumb? I'm also impressed with how friendly Boomer & Lizzy are. My cats are just starting to let Ebony within a one foot radius VERY cautiously! Course it doesn't help that she barks at them. Your granddaughters are all darling. Do they live near you? How often do you get to see them? Have a great weekend.

Hi Rob. We had a major heat wave here as well, easily in the 90's with the humidity. Only difference is, you have a pool to cool off in and I don't! Are you enjoting your summer? Hope so. Cheers!

Rob, having once been the 7 year old on a long car trip, I have pity for you. I drove my older brother (and parents) nuts!!! I am leaving in a few days and flying to colorado with my kids and husband. I am NOT looking forward to the plane trip with my 6 and 10 year olds. The older one is fine, the younger will be getting revenge for my parents for the way I used to behave. I hope all my hair hasn't turned grey when this trip is over. I have a friend in Tooele, how far from there are you?

Flowers and bubbly--wow, thanks. I am getting very spoiled on this web site. How lucky you both are to live in Utah. Many years ago I went to college in Montana and I carry wonderful memories of the northwestern states--such unmatched beauty that wonderful wild country. Thanks for the warm and bubbly welcome!

Thank you Rob. I miss him so much! - We feel his constant presence. Isn't that strange? Is as if his spirit is here with us.
I cannot bring myself to picking up his toys - all of them as if waiting for his return.
The only change has been that Boo - our cat - has, all of the sudden, taken over his bed; something she never did in the 8 1/2 years he was with us. Not even when he was not in the house! Very strange.

I finally managed to have time to check my page after all these months and saw the message from you. I am so sorry that I didn't check it sooner. I guess I presumed that if I didn't do anything about my page, it wouldn't show up for anybody. Surprise! I am from Vernal at this time, but have lived many places in this country. I have enjoyed reading your comments all this time, and now I get to see a photo to place a face (hmmm, that rhymes.) And I do wish to extend to my fellow Utahn a belated welcome.

Gday Rob, I cant believe I haven't left my calling card before this. I have been here before to meet your family but forgot to let you know. What a wonderful looking family you have. All have smiles that sparkle.
I've brought along some gifts for you. Abottle of my father's homemade tomato chutney, a plate of nibblies and an invitation to visit my page and meet my family. Love to see you there.

Hi Rob! You've been on my mind the past couple days as I knew you were awaiting the birth of your first grandson. I've had some computer problems lately so am late in wishing you a . I was hoping your grandson might be your very best birthday present. Maybe he wants his own special day & is taking a little longer to make his appearance. We had a bit of a scare when our first grandson was born back in 2000. Our daughter had a long & very difficult labor & then had to have a c-section. After all that he's a fine healthy boy now, though. So I'll hope all goes well for your grandson, too. Please let us all know as soon as you have news!

Rob, sorry to hear bubby boy is taking his time but after all, he is male! When I was preg with #4, I thought I would breeze through, having 'been there' before but I ended up having three false labours. The last time, I refused to leave the hospital until bubs was born! Luckily, she must of heard me because labour started for real as soon as the doc told us to go home.
Best of wishes to you all.

Hello there, Rob, and so nice to have you drop by to wish me a happy birthday. We had a nice evening at a nearby patio, drank some lovely wine and had appetizers. We'll do a rooftop patio place for Al's b'day tomorrow night, and he's got some surprise in store for our 25th next week ... All these festivities at once are a nuisance, which is why we always celebrate the anniversary of our first date, which is in November.
Meanwhile, I know you're busy with your dear family and eagerly awaiting that special grandson, so I'll keep praying for a safe and speedy arrival! Take care

Hey there, Rob! As to the photos, I honestly don't know what I did--nothing fancy, just went to the Update details page, hit 'Upload Photos', then did something with Manage photos ... it's all still a mystery, plus now some kindly folks are telling me I should have resized them first. Once things die down a little here, I'll seek the help of 'experts' on the site to assist me with the fine points. As you can see, I'm still avatar-less--MizTricia was a big help, but I'm still having no luck. I won't stress about that--to me, the photos are the more important. And I still can't manage to put any of them on the puzzle page--it keeps telling me they're the wrong size. Why is it so complicated? (Or why am I so simple!) Anyway, off to a nephew's wedding tomorrow (a relief, since it seems we usually gather for funerals). I take it there's no bundle of joy yet?

Rob, I resized my photos on my computer before I uploaded them. My photo program has an option to resize it under the 'image' menu. I usually resize it 50%. I think Gath also has a resize program you can find under help, but I haven't used it. I don't know if this helps, but maybe it will give you an idea. Good luck!

Hello Rob. Nice to meet you. I was having problems loading my vacation picturess as well. I'm resizing them right now. I'm using this website to shrink my pictures: http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ It is pretty straightforward.

I think Gath has a tool as well, but I didn't download it as I'm a Mac user and his is for windows. You can find it on the upload photo page of the Gallery.

Good luck, and please do stop by my page for a chat!

Hello Rob, I posted some instructions for re-sizing photos on Members Special Features - Help and Information page. You can find it on the Forum page. I hope this helps. You could also use Gath's batch image process program. The first time I used it, it gave me an error message. I tried running it a second time and it worked fine. I hope this helps.

Hi Rob. Perhaps the easiest way to re-size pictures is to open the picture in your photo program and right click on it. If you have a Windows system, you will have an option to 'Send To' in the drop down menu when you right click on the photo. Choose an email recipient and send it to yourself. You should get a message that the photo will be resized for emailing. If you say okay, the photo is automatically resized and made into a JPEG file. Email it to yourself, save the photo attachment into a different file from where you got it, and voila, you have a resized photo. Right click on the photo and the drop down menu will give you an option to see properties. When you click on properties, it will tell you the file size and the attributes of the picture.
