One of my better attempts posing with a statue.  All I can say is that it's lucky for anybody seeing it that there's no audio.

Youtube- Julian Bream and John Williams playing my favorite piece of music, Claire de Lune, by Debussy.

It's hard to tell which one was worse, his playing or my voice.

Feel like I'm stalking you...but had to come back to check out your pics - glad I did, loved the glacier shots, memories of Whistler came flooding back - beautiful place, my regrets of not making time for Banff... I've realised that by seeing people's pics how much more i want to travel...thank you for sharing...the desserts did not escape me either, I have a shockingly sweet tooth...

Hi Keith! Sorry your potential SA meetings in Canada didn't work out. Celia had planned her trip to Fripp Island with us since back in April. Otherwise I'm sure she would have loved to see you in Toronto. Rob flew home to NC with Bryce last Thurs. & came home yesterday. We have now happily put our suitcases away until our next week at Fripp in Jan. How far away from San Francisco do you live? We will be flying there & spending a couple days before our trip to China in May. Maybe we could arrange a CA meeting?? Food for thought. I'm looking forward to seeing your Canadian photos soon!

Had to come right back to reply to YOUR reply! Our beach house seems like a mansion to us, too! We could never have afforded to own the whole house on our own, but back in 2004 a 1/13th share of it was being sold as part of an LLC. At the time we didn't even know what that was, but it turned out to be a great deal. With 12 other co-owners we share every aspect of the house - living there, maintenance, insurance, taxes, new appliances when needed, etc. And we get to stay there 4 weeks per year, one in each season on a rotating schedule. Most of the other families have a LOT more money than we do. We're the poor retired military folks among a lot of doctors & lawyers. But they're all nice people, & we get together with them for one annual meeting per year to elect officers & make decisions on house matters, etc. We feel very very lucky to be a part of that group. As for a Sudoku get together in San Francisco that would be great. If we plan far enough ahead maybe we could get folks to come from all over CA, maybe even Judy & Tom?? Who wouldn't want to take a trip to SF!! I will let you know as soon as our China tour group confirms our departure date. We're hoping for either May 18 or 25, & we'll fly out there 4-5 days before that.

Keith - loved your pictures! And I love the part of Canada you visited. I haven't been there in years, but I have fond memories of Quebec, Montreal (stayed there the weekend before a ski trip in the area) and Ontario. I spent a week at a ski resort about 3 hours north of Toronto. Flew in and out of Toronto, so I got to see a bit of that city, too.

Weigh in report for week 44: I lost 5 pounds this week. I'm still 4 pounds heavier than before I left for Canada, but I'm back going in the right direction.

Weigh in report for week 46: I lost 2 pounds this week. My back's been sore, so I haven't exercised very much, but I've been eating better. Now, if I can just get better control over the beer. Thanks for the support, Angie.

I am roaming the world to say for the birthday wishes. I just have to stop and listen to Debussy By the way, Buddha taught weight control... just eat a little less each time. I'm serious. It was his advice to a king who kept falling asleep because he ate too much.

Keith, I have recently completed a book on addiction which will be published late next year. If I can help you in any way on the mental aspects of dieting, let me know. I have a few tricks up my sleeve, but I would need to know something of the background. I'll send an email address to your sudoku email

Hello Keith - Wow! What a beautiful train station! I love the witches hats! We went to lunch several years ago in Lansing to a restaurant that was a converted train station. It was quite a unique building. (I could picture the "olden" days with women in their hats and long dresses!) The architecture has sure changed in the last 100 years.! I have a hard time understanding how it can be cheaper to truck "stuff" instead of shipping it on a train, especially considering the price of gas.

Thanks for sharing your pictures!

I stopped by to wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Keith, sorry for responding so late but things really got hectic for last couple of months. Got so involved in settling my younger daughter that I was in virtual spin and picture was quite hazy. It seems to be getting clearer now and hopefully she will be settled soon.
Getting to the top of the page is quite easy for people in Asia region since most of us are back from work or are in relaxed state of the evening when the day changes over in Oz.
will keep in touch. bye and take care.

Hi Keith! Assume you are back from your Thanksgiving visit with your daughter & family. Hope you had a good time together. I have missed seeing comments from you lately now that I have been able to read them a little more often. That certainly is a beautiful train station. I have an e-mail about trains I must look for to send to you. Hope the upcoming month of December is full of good times & good memories for you & Linda.

Weigh in report for week 48, I've gained 5 pounds since my last weigh in 2 weeks ago. I missed weigh in last week because of traveling to visit family for Thanksgiving. What with that and friends visiting our house this past week, I haven't been being careful, but just enjoying the moment ... and then the next.
