One of my better attempts posing with a statue.  All I can say is that it's lucky for anybody seeing it that there's no audio.

Youtube- Julian Bream and John Williams playing my favorite piece of music, Claire de Lune, by Debussy.

It's hard to tell which one was worse, his playing or my voice.

Keith, I'm so sorry you've had to say goodbye to your beloved pet. It is such a hard thing to do. I had to have my wonderful husky, Nika, put to sleep and I miss her to this day. I'll think of them both romping happily around and waiting patiently for us.

Keith - The Britt schedule for the summer is posted at brittfest.org/performances. One you may be interested in is Friday July 11th - Craig Chaquico & Jesse Cook. I've seen both of these guys - both are great guitarists. Lawn seats are $24. You may want to put it on your summer itenerary.

Dear Keith and Lynne,
I am so sorry about your pet. All the love and time you invested in him will be happy memories to hold on to. Take care and do try to enjoy the cruise. Remember each of you try to make the other happy! The ache will still be there but fondness will take the edge off of it.

You have my sympathies, Keith and Lynne. Losing any family member is so sad, and that is what our pets become.
I know you wont see this till your return, and I don't expect a response, but I sincerely hope you wont let this spoil your chance for fun on your cruise.
All the best,
Gail

Keith - I will leave this note of sympathy for you to find when you return. Rob & I are so sorry that you & Lynne had to say a final goodbye to Simon. We know how hard that was, but, hopefully, you are comforted by knowing you did the best thing for him & have mercifully ended his suffering. I can't help wondering if there are a bunch of dogs in heaven forming a club for those who have had Sudokuland masters in their past. I believe there are quite a few of them up there now!!!

Keith: My sincerest sympathy to you and your wife on the loss of your dear friend and pet. It is such a hard decision when they have been with you for so long, but I know that you know in your hearts this was the best thing to be done, and I'm sure your dog appreciates it so much. As they say "all dogs go to heaven", and I'm sure he's frolicking around, barking and acting like a puppy where he is now.
Go on your cruise and enjoy yourselves; there will always be time to mourn later. God Bless.

Keith, so sorry to hear about Simon, having had to make that decision about my Meg just a few weeks ago, I know just how hard it is, and how sad you must be feeling. Your happy memories of him will be with you forever. My thoughts are with you and your wife.

Oh Keith! I am so very sorry on your loss. Believe me when I tell you, even though it breaks our hearts, we do not want to see our wonderful furry family members suffer. Simon will always live in your hearts and you will never forget him. My love to you and your wife in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to hear about Simon. Pets can be such an integral part of one's life and family. They leave a big hole when they are gone... especially ones named Simon. But our lives were richer for having them.

Keith, so truly sorry to hear that you've lost your precious famiy member, Simon. I know full well the sadness you and Lynne must be feeling; I still miss our three cats that have gone, and they left us years ago. You and your wife are special people for taking such good care of your dog and giving it so much love during his time with you. Keeping you both in my thoughts.

Let me know if you are comming up. I have seen Craig several times (last time in Feb as he played for the Britt Bash fundraiser - he lives in Ashland). Jesse is Canadian - he was here a couple of years ago - I was very impressed. Both are ecellent. Check - http://www.brittfest.org/performances/cookchaquico

Hi Keith! Just had a look at your recent Flickr photos & left a few comments on them. I always enjoy trip pictures, even other people's trips! Looks like you saw some scenic places. I have a friend from Natchez who always says how pretty it is there. Now I believe her. Rob & I were very disappointed we had to cancel our China trip, & also disappointed we won't get to meet up with you & Judy & spouses now. She said she would let you know. Now we're trying to figure out where else to go, probably in the fall sometime.

Hi Keith! Thanks for the note. I'm sure there are plenty of Sudoko nuts in the bay area. I used to take BART to the city with my newspaper copy and I wasn't the only one! Now I drive (yuck, not choice) to San Jose from the east bay. Public trans requires at least 2 busses and 2 hours vs. a 1/2 hr drive. It's time to get back to working on the taxes, goofed off for too long!

Great photographs Keith, brings memories of my time over there visiting New Orleans. Has the city recovered after all the floods? I love the statue photographs. I bet you have taken so many now with statues you could almost do a 'Keith and the statues' book! wonderful.

Weigh in report for week 14: definitely not a good start to the year, I've gained another 4 pounds since my last weigh in-week 9. It was actually worse (right after we got back from our trip), but I've brought it back down some since then.

Hey Keith. I just tripped through your latest photos and quite enjoyed them. You really should submit some of your pictures to the Kid's sudoku site as you have a lot of interesting shots. I don't know if you managed to see the old military armoury in Quebec City that looked over the Plains of Abraham, but anyway, it was lost to a fire several days ago. Quite a blow, but a lot of the archive material was saved. Hope all is well!

Keith, a thousand thanks for your good wishes. I'm scared beyond belief, but my husband and I are seeing someone from our Canadian National Institute for the Blind on Monday to get information and learn about the support available. Meanwhile, I know you must still be missing Simon terribly and I'm keeping you in my thoughts.
