One of my better attempts posing with a statue.  All I can say is that it's lucky for anybody seeing it that there's no audio.

Youtube- Julian Bream and John Williams playing my favorite piece of music, Claire de Lune, by Debussy.

It's hard to tell which one was worse, his playing or my voice.

Hi Keith,

A very merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope that you have a wonderful time with family and friends and that 2009 is a health full hopeful, joyful peaceful satisfying one for you.

for you Christmas Greetings. On Christmas morn, rather than sitting around the fire, I'll be bare foot and on the phone to loved ones on the other side of Australia.

It will start off at a pleasant 26 degrees - but humid and get up to about 33 but with high humidity.

I'll head off to church in something sleeveless and try to get a spot under the fan. We have louvered windows to try to catch the breeze.

After church and handing out the lemon cordial, I'll head back to prepare for lunch which will be upstairs on the veranda where we can catch the breeze. There will be 6 adults and one 5 yearold.... to be joined a bit later by a couple of young'ns We'll start with prawns and champers, and progress to cold meats and salads before moving on to Cold Christmas pudding with icecream, strawberries and blueberries. I'll lace the cream with some benedictine - as I haven't any brandy and why keep that tradition when we break so many others. I'd have done Stottish Scrawberries except with a 5 yearold and two oldies with shot livers... I'd probably have to eat/drink most of them myself - That wouldn't be pretty. Wasn't it you that got smashed a couple of years ago on my Stottish Scrawberry recipe?

At some stage people are sure to have a swim.. perhaps a game of backyard cricket.

Anyway here are some Stottish Scrawberries for you..
Stottish Scrawberries concocted by fi in the Highlands

2 punnetts of Scottish strawberries (washed and hulled) but if you must Californian will do
2 tablespoons of honey (melted in the microwave)
2 cups of Scottish whiskey - Californian Will NOT do here.

Combine the whiskey and honey.
Pour over the Scottish Strawberries.
Leave in the Fridge for a couple of hours.
Eat drink...

This is a recipe to be shared with a good sized group. We had 10 in our group.

You find that the Scottish strawberries become Stottish scrawberries within a short time of being consumed.

By the way - love the acoustic guitar version of Silent night on your You Tube... Who is the bloke playing? Can you send me a youtube link?

I'm a bit of an acoustic music fan myself.

Hi Keith - Just read your post on Easy and suddenly had cravings for a glass of Baileys. After much searching found the bottle at the top of a cupboard - enough there for one very small glass! So cheers to you as I drink, and hope you have a very Merry Christmas! (Hubby's off to the shops tomorrow to buy another bottle - should last us for the next 5 years!) ;)

The last draft you saw was the 5th one. It has changed quite a lot since then. Remember I was criticized for not having structure? I thought the ed meant the book was not structured. Turned out she was referring to my tendency to wander away from the theme of a chapter. Anyway, I now have different editor and current draft is being read by a friend who is a magazine editor. I'm now hanging out for her observations.

Hi Keith,

I got drawn into my page by an Sudoku generated email telling me I had a message from none other than Ian from Boston. Hadn't visited my page in a while and out of curiosity, clicked the 'friend' button and there you were.

Hope things are well with you and you are still trying to maintain some semblance of order on the easy page. I rarely visit the site now except to check out a couple of the forum pages from time to time.

No big whoop, just wanted to pop in and say howdy.

Hi Keith! Just dropped by to see your bird pictures. Left a couple comments on them. I finally answered Lynne's e-mail about the Travelodge in Sydney. You guys must be so excited about your upcoming trip, or guess I should say tripS! Have you figured out the final itinerary for AU yet? Do you think you'll have time to include Ayers Rock or Tasmania?

Hello Keith, no long, no visit!!
I saw your query on the Parent's page which (Canuk) Greg answered for you but in case you didn't go back in and see it, I thought I'd pay you a visit.
I have three children, a son (almost 39) and two daughters (37 & 31). My son has two boys (Ned & Zac), my oldest daughter has three girls (Kirilee, Hayley & Jaimee) and my youngest daughter has two sons (Johnathan & Bailey, who is 8 months old).
There is a photo of me and all seven of my grandchildren in My Gallery.
Cheers!

Oh...another good spot for some group photos with 'different' statues is Heidi...the museum for Modern Art...that would be a good place for a meet here in Melbourne. [hope you are allowing a schedule free for a few meets here in Melbourne...]
This is a link to their current exhibit...what a pity you will miss it...

Just popping in Keith. Your trip 'down under' sounds as though it is going to be wonderful. I was reading in the news that we are going to be having a new statue built in England which will rival 'The Angel of the North'(not sure if you have heard of that one). It is a horse of gigantic proportions. You can google Horse Ebbfleet. I'm not sure that I would like to see it on the landscape when driving...I probably would think it was a UFO. Hope all is well with you and Lynne and that you enjoyed your recent break. Take care x
