Ian - I've just caught up on the news that you're in hospital. I hope all turns out OK and that you don't give Anne too much grief when you do get home!
To: "other anne" - I know you're probably worried, but Ian's sudoku family is YOUR sudoku family as well so feel free to let off steam, worries or just come for some Company. Thanks for taking the time to update us when you're obviously very busy yourself.
PS: Are you two heading down to Vic this Summer by any chance?

Ian, I'm looking forward to seeing you back on site soon. All my best wishes for a speedy recovery from your mystery illness.
Anne, I hope he isn't a terrible patient for you. You could always threaten to take away his computer if he misbehaves.

Ian dear, I leave puzzleland for just a few weeks and now I find out you are in the hospital. Though now I found out that you may be coming home today.
I do hope it was not my absence that has caused you so much stress that you had to go to the hospital. Or did you just want a little vaction? Or did you just want to lia around in bed all day and not have Anne scold you?
Sorry, cannot help but be silly. I do hope you are feeling better. Though next time you really should fill out a permission form to take a leave from us. It needs to be in triplicate form and approved. So no more hospital stays.
I miss your wonderful wisdom and I am still waiting on your book. Yes I am still holding my breath too.
Hope to see you in puzzleland this weekend.

I just want to thank all of you wonderful people for your thoughts, prayers and good wishes while I was in hospital. My problem was an irregular heart beat and high pulse rate, which in itself wasn't particularly distressing, but if it had remained untreated could have caused heart failure - which would have been a bit distressing.
It was controlled eventually by giving me a light anaesthetic and an electric zap - drastic but effective. I now feel as if I have been hit by a Mack truck - but I am getting better.
I do hope all of you wonderful people understand that I have neither the time nor the energy to reply to each of you individually. All I can say is a sincere and heartfelt collective 'thank you'.

(Third Kate in a row). Welcome home Ian. You were missed in our daily frivolities but your photos appeared regularly for us, so we weren't allowed to forget about you. Hope you get over the feeling in your chest soon, and it's so good that it was relatively straighforward to put everything back on track. Cheers.

Dear Ian, you know we don't expect you to reply to us all. We have all been visiting your page and have really appreciated the updates left by Anne and now we will still be visiting your page to look in on you so an update here is more than enough.
Take care and rest well, Ian.
Grateful thanks to you, Anne.

Welcome home, Ian! Sorry you've been through such an ordeal, but happy to know you're on the mend! I think Anne was correct when she said you wouldn't be long in the door before you were seated at the computer! Please tell her thanks for the updates. Listen to your doctors (and your wife)and that "hit by a Mack truck" feeling will soon be a thing of the past. Take care...

Well we are all so very happy that you are home Ian and recovering at a good rate of speed. Take your time to regain your strength and life will once more become more joyful rather than challenge - filled. Anne did a great job keeping us posted during your hospital stay. Keeping you in prayer and sending flowers and balloons to brighten your recovery. Peace.

Ian, it was wonderful to be able to meet you and Anne and your family yesterday, and to find myself enjoying your company in person. The venue was great, except for the parking which I avoided, and Sydney certainly put on its best weather, although it was probably rather hotter out your way! We had a good trip home, with a stopoff to see Grandma. All in all a lovely day!!

Thanks Ian for your kind thoughts on the death of my husband, Geoff. Our Sudoku family is a great one to have at any time and its a family we choose to have. I'm honoured to be a member, to have so many friends here & across the world who can share in our good times, have a laugh with us and also be there for us when we need guidance, comfort or strength when times are tough, like with your recent illness. Thank you & Anne for being a part of that family. Lynne

Just thought I would let you know I had my first ride in a helicopter sitting in the front while I was in Antigua and it was wonderful. We flew over Montserrat to view the volcano and the trail of devastation it left.
I'm glad you are feeling better and getting upto strength with your health. Take care x

Hi, Ian thanks for your note about "Contact Us" on the sudoku page. Sorry if it sounded like a complaint, but I was joking! I know Gath is fixing things, I also sent him an email to let him know about the repeats. He emailed me & asked if I'd give him the urls of the puzzles that were repeated. I spent more than 2 hours copying & pasting & only got through 8 days! My computer went on stike & wouldn't boot up the next day!! Only a coincidence!! Paul sorted it out when he got home!

Hi, Ian. Thanks for the "pat on the back" for my photos! I admire yours too! Not long till your trip to Brooklyn & your exploration of "my" Hawkesbury River!!!!! Unfortunately we're not often there during the week as Paul has to go to work! So I won't be able to hang out a welcome banner or wave to you as you go by! Sometimes in the summer I've stayed on by myself & Paul's gone to work from there on the Monday dropped back midweek then returned on Friday for the next weekend. At the moment there are very few people around (all the people who live there permanently leave for work by 6am & are rarely home by 6pm!) Our neighbour (on the down river side) is still recovering from his broken femur & is at his son's place. Anyway have a great time & I'll be watching for your photos! Our place is next to the neatly manicured hill & we share the Jetty in front of it. You'll probably recognize the Kingston moored out the front because it's some of my photos. Our house is dark green & brown so it's easy to miss because it's also almost hidden behind grevilleas & banksias! There's a yurt next door on the up river side, then a small cottage almost on the water, after that come the blue boatsheds & the blue cottage! Some tours go round Milson Island first then up Milsons Passage on the way back to Brooklyn. If that's the case you'll see these places as I said. If the tour goes through the passage at first these directions will obviously be back to front! I'm sure you'll be shown the wreck of the Parramatta. It'll be on your far right as you come past Milsons Island at the beginning, but on the left if it's on the way home!! They'll point out Bar Island, Peats Bite, Gentleman's Halt (where Governor Philip is reported to have camped when he explored the river! & all the other interesting places.

Hi Ian! How are you feeling? I hope you are well on the mend. You've got to wonder how they figured out that cure, though! Thank you for my welcome tothe world of mac. I am in love with my new iMac. It's just so easy to use. Did you know that the new OS called Leopard is out today? If PC's didn't have all the gaming software we might have changed over sooner (I love my strategy games). Do you have Apeture? Got to go, cause I hear thunder and there's no way I'm accidently going to fry my beautiful new computer!

Haha! I hid it!
Nah, they're are comments on your photo gallery. I realised what the problem was when Cazablanka had exactly the same conundrum last week. The email does not distinguish between a page comment or pic comment. So, have a look through your gallery, you'll find them there.
I hope this note finds you and Anne well. You gave us quite a scare back there and we really appreciated the constant reports from Anne.
ps Get a bloke in to trim the hedges etc, ok?
