Thanks for the identification of the plant. You are correct. I now remember the name - one I am always forgetting. Also thanks for having the courage to take the number of messages on my page over the '666' threshold. No-one has posted for ages. I think they have been avoiding that iconic unlucky number (for months!)

Thank you Kate for explaining those Native flowers for me. It's so kind of you, to take the time to do so. I went on Flickr and saw the photo enlarged. Just beautiful. I love all of your photos and hope to see many more.

Hi Kate, thanks for the poem that you included on today's easy site which you had obtained from a friend's memorial service.
Do hope all goes well with the sewing and the house warming party.

Hi Kate,
I tried to send you a personal message, and was coming to the end of it when suddenly I was back at home page !!!! Don't know if you got it.
Many thanks for your enquiry re my implant. Yes, it is all going as expected. Lots of practice required on my part, and regular visits to Gladesville to have adjustments.
Regards Youkidme

Kate I love the house photo's you've put up. That is a fancy shmancy fire with an oven.. haven't looked at hot boxes for a while and hadn't seen them before.

Love your choice of colours..very much my thing..
Doesn't it take forever to finish a house.

Aww, Kate, you are the busy one. I feel like the last 3 to 4 weeks, since Mom died, I am just existing. Nothing is getting done. Yes, K's school is already getting warmed up, which I do not know if that is a good thing or not. I have picked up, but no cleaning or packing has been going on the last few weeks. Mike took a car load to storage this weekend, another thing that might get me motivated. Since, we are childless this weekend, I would do some personal stuff, nails look like crap, so I did a pedicure and manicure and shaved my legs, that was refreshing. I have never been one to stay down long, I will bounce back and get back to being busy again.
Thanks for liking my avators, they are fun and I love looking for more to go with days, but since none have been approved in months, I feel like I am using the same ones over and over.

Hi Kate! Thanks for the vacuum input. I'll give the Dysons another look. I would love a vacuum that actually did side cleaning as opposed to just advertising that it does! My DIL has a Dyson and with two dogs shedding everywhere, she is pleased with it. We don't have any critters at the moment so I don't have that problem. I'll also look at the Hoover Heidi recommended. If it can take care of the dog hair in her house, it can take care of anything in mine! lol

Hi Kate. Nice to find your message on my page. Yes, we are having a wonderful time. I have fallen in love with Tallinn, Estonia. Before this trip I never even knew it existed! We have a free day here tomorrow - first one of the whole trip. We are looking forward to doing our own thing for a change. We're also looking forward to our return home. See you back on Easy at the end of next week!

Thank you for the birthday wishes! I had a wonderful baking weekend and birthday celebration with very creative grandchildren. Life is busy and happy, with the extra pleasure of sudoku puzzles and friends on the side. In spite of our drought, this side of the world is doing great and I hope your Australian side continues with the vibrant colors and variety I see in your photos. Thanks again!

Thanks, Kate! Yes, it is a slow journey, but at least Jaime is headed in the right direction. Today, he is trying to cut back on the pain meds for his back, and he is really hurting. His next appointment with the back doctor isn't until Thursday, so I don't know if he can hold out that long. We are hoping a cortisone shot will help ease the pain. The heart continues to improve, but when Jaime's in such pain, he gets very discouraged. All we can do is be patient at this point!

Hello Kate, thanks for visiting my page. I live 20 minutes north east of Launceston, so it's my main centre. I visited Sydney in 1976 and haven't manage to get back since, something that I'll rectify in the next few years after hubby's retirement.
I love the bright colours in the photos at the top of your page.

Hi Kate,
Thanks for inviting me to be a friend. Is there something special that we do with this? I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with this. I've always considered you one of my Sudoku friends.

Hi Kate,
I arrived via Friends page too! Now , I get it. I've had Vici as a friend for a while, but never knew what to do with it.Don't you think it would be a good idea to give an explanation on how this works? It would be for people like me, at any rate. Happy to have you as a friend.

Thanks Kate. Hard but rewarding work. Love it when the grandaughters get involved. They help, and when they see where their veggies come from there is no problem getting them to eat up.

They love the strawberry and raspberry patches. This year we should have some blueberries.

Fresh is definitely best.

Hi Kate, all's well here. Have just taken a photo of a Striated Pardalote. I've heard it call for a while and have been unable to spot it, but then there it was in a tree that was still getting its new leaves. I love it when I find new birds in my yard! So yes, very happy today. How are your pics going? i take my camera with me whenever I go outside, just incase!

Kate you are so right about the bird chorus. When I leave home to go swimming early in the morning, the bird song is phenomenal. We do have blackbirds, starlings and sparrows, but they are out numbered by the natives. Earlier this year the forest ravens congregated align our drive in he native garden. I reckon there were 50 of them all calling at once. I got a few pics but none have done justice to the size of the flock.

Don't get me started on cats. There was a feral in the paddock last night eating a bird it had caught. Hubby went out to deal with it, but it was too quick. I think the ducklings sleep on the dam wall by the look of the mess on the ground. Easy access for cats. I have nothing against cats, just so long as they are restricted to their own property like dogs are required to be.
