Hi Dorthea. I come by to see your bat! I don't think I want to feed him thought, thank you! We have a lot of bats around our house. My husband built a bathouse with the hope that it would keep them off of the house! They don't hurt the house, but leave way too many "calling cards." I hope all is well with you out there. PS - LOVE your bat ...I'm a huge fan of bats! Have a bat house in my tree, no bats right now, though.

I was born in Oakland, grew up in Hayward and lived 25 years in Monterey before my husband and I moved up to the mountains 7 years ago.

As you may have read (if you've been on the site today), several of us are planning a second get-together during our visit to your wonderful city! Hi Dorthea - I have had the same problem. I am so technically challenged! What program are you using to shrink your pictures? I have found that the smaller the Kb the smaller the picture. I now use photoshop and it has helped me a lot and it is fun to play with!

Hi, Dorthea, a couple of cute photos though, as you said, too large. Maybe you've already received some answers to your "help' inquiry, but in case you didn't here goes. I always work on mine with Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Under the tab "Picture" there is a place to click "resize," and they even have several pre-set sizes. Choose one by clicking on it and then click to get out of it -- you'll be asked if you want to save the changes and you'll click "save." There may be easier ways, but that's the only one I know. I was glad to see you were there and looking very nice!

Don't feel rushed at all, or any pressure. I was just not sure if you had even discovered my email, is all. Take your time getting better first, and give it a try when you feel up to it. Good thoughts for you to get better soon.
