Hello Dorthea - I just read your comment on the guinea pig photo on the kid's pages and it has been on before a few times, ages ago. I took it in Arequipa in Peru and it was in a Monastery. They were obviously raised for eating as from there we went to a restaurant and I had a whole fried guinea pig for my lunch.
There used to be a photo of it in Flickr but I deleted it.

Hi Dorthea! Thanks for the cooking lesson! I am always intrigued by food items I don't know.

I went through your gallery - chuckled at the photo of you because you have the same "decorating scheme" as I do! When my nephew was staying here, may years ago when he was still in college, he gazed around one day and said "Aunt Joan, when I have my own home, I'm going to decorate just like yours!" I was quite puzzled, as "decorate" was not how I would have described my home! He clarified his statement with - "books everywhere". I am realizing a life dream - my basement is being finished, and I am shifting billions of books down there to have a real library. Though I do wonder where all the new books are coming from that have taken up residence on newly cleared spaces upstairs. One of Life's mysteries!
