Why thank you Greg for the warm welcome and the salmon was lovely... not to mention the 'double chocolate fudge beavertail pastry'. Must admit I have a weakness for Sugar Pie and Maple Syrup.
How about I just leave a bottle of (one) of my favourite drinks for you... a bottle of Baileys Irish Cream. Enjoy.

I am pleased you were able to visit CGreg and glad you enjoyed the fresh scones. Thank you for the beavertail pastry , most delicious. I do not think I had any of your pastries when I visited Ottawa. Also missed your nature museum (?) as I had to find a doctor to get some antibiotics for an infected throat. I think that was back in '98. You do have a beautiful city. I always enjoy your comments and thanks for all the nice ones about Laura.

close, it's Rachael.

I'll accept anything chocolate with open arms! =]

blessedbyndcurse is short for blessed beyond the curse, and it comes from one of my favorite songs: Trading my sorrows, where part of the song is:

I'm pressed but not crushed,
Persecuted not abandoned,
Struck down but not destroyed,
I'm BLESSED BEYOND THE CURSE
for his promise will endure
that his joy's gonna be my strength

Hi Greg - Thanks for your visit. I am a beginner on the violin. I have been taking lessons off and on for the past 2 years. It is something I have wanted to do all of my life. With my mom ill and Jenny graduating this year, I needed a break. I play the Mountain Dulcimer and the Bowed Psaltery in a Mountain Band here locally. We have a lot of fun. I have played the piano since I was seven and I really like to hear any stringed instrument!

We have had a beautiful Spring here, but we had a chilly week-end. Friday evening, (Prom Night) turned out just beautiful though. Yesterday we had temperatures in the high 50's (F).

I found Ottawa on the map the other day and I didn't realize you were so far North! I assumed Ottawa was near Toronto. Do you have harsh winters with a lot of snow and frost?

Bruce Mines gets a lot more snow and frost than we get. One year they had 8 feet of frost! That is a cold winter!

I am looking forward to your next visit. I hope you enjoy this warm piece of Rhubarb Pie I baked this afternoon! If you like it, I posted the recipe on Easy today.

Hi Greg for dropping in to my page and bringing such a delicious housewarming present. I'm leaving a bottle of the local apple wine for you to try (it's usually drunk diluted with sparkling water in summer, or heated in winter with a teaspoon of sugar added)- enjoy

Hey, thanks so much for dropping by and for the double chocolate fudge beavertail pastry. How did you guess? You gave it to one who has been known to dip her chunk of chocolate coated fudge into the honey jar!! Please have a dram, and oatcakes and cheese? Or would you prefer a slice of home made shortbread or Dundee cake? Cheers!

Greg, Laura thanks you for singing her a Lullaby. But this morning she is more into wanting to listen to Wiggles. (lullabys are good for bed times)

I enjoyed the beavertail pastry.

Laura and I visited. She liked the Polar Bear cub. Unfortunately we let your place in a bit of a mess. But that is what 21 month olds do.

Hello Greg,
Thanks for dropping in! HOpe all is well at your end!

Have been pretty busy. Am starting a new job on Monday, which is building databases (I haven't built databases for over four years, so most of my knowledge has gone, however hopefully I will pick it up again fairly quickly. Have been refreshing my web skills with Dreamweaver, and doing a course in that all the week. Now Friday night, brain mushed, going out to see Cirque du Soleil tonight (a belated birthday present from Al) From memory, they're Canuks aren't they?
Have a great weekend!

Hope all is well up in Canada. Visit again, I hope to get my page decorated soon, but flickr and I are having issues.

Hi Greg, thanks for dropping by. We are both well and recovering nicely from our long trip down south. We are celebrating Mothers Day here today and our three children are coming over to cook lunch for Anne - one does the entree, one the mains and one the sweets. They are each accomplished cooks and we look forward to their visit. I wonder what yummy surprises they have in store for us this year?
