Greg - I remember that as the original video clip of Walk of Life by Dire Straits when the song was popular here. I think Rebecca taped it and still has it on video.

After we get back home I'll figure out where to suggest meeting places and post date, time and location for both. It will be interesting to see if anybody else shows. May things go well for you.

Thanks CG! We'll probably buy an existing home, building takes time and it is more convenient if we can just move into another home that we like. Called an agent today about a house that we saw on the internet. We fly down next week to have a look at it. If suitable we will make an offer and see how things go.

Hi, Greg. Thanks for worrying about me. I am lurking, doing the puzzles and reading the comments. However, for the last 3 weeks I have been working retail (Sears Holdings, aka good old Sears and Roebuck). I am literally working my a&& off (8# so far) and I am usually too tired and work out to feel like commenting.

thanks so much for dropping in, unfortunatly I'm still going on with the props and costumes for this years production. (big sigh)so hence why I'm not posting as much these days. Hopefully all will be finished within a couple of weeks and I can return and join you all in the fun and games.
BTW, are you still not able to use the animated flag? let me know and I'll email you all the links.

You're a brave man CG! Your comments about parties on Personal Pages are my thoughts too but I've not been game enough to say anything. I can honestly say though that I have not and would never join in the parties as it just seems to be an invasion of personal space.
BTW, I have at last taken the plunge and have been putting up some of our photos on my own page, when you feel like checking it out.

Hey Greg, I miss being on the site and a little word play with you and judy, etc... I am listening to your roger miller as I type this, I have always loved him. I have 2 more days of classroom training, and then 3 weeks of supervised lab (but will be on the floor) ! The time has flown by but I really miss the site. I've spent a fair portion of the last five months globetrotting. I've visited Denmark, Germany, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mexico, the Czech Republic, and my mother in the Chicago suburbs! The rest of the time, I've been trying to catch up with friends at home and the inevitable housework, yardwork, car maintenance, paperwork, laundry, etc. And, how could I forget..... organizing, editing, copying, and deleting the over 4700 digital photos I've taken in the last year! Oooops..... and also planning my next trips! But, never fear, I'll be home for a while and have some time to catch up with my fellow sudokuholics!

Hey Greg, the last I heard of the mining recue, was that almost all the workers were rescued - SA mining is not what it used the be a couple of years ago. SAFETY should always come first in my opinion. Re Paul Potts, amazing is'nt it. I was going to do his final next! Take care

Hi Greg, yes, this is one of my pics, thanks for noticing. My avatar is actually the same volcano taken at dusk and from a different angle. Where we stayed in Bajawa I could see this volcano out of my bedroom window. It sort of dominates the skyline and I was fascinated by it and took lots of pics of it. As we are in completely different time zones it seems that we are never on the site at the same time. By the time I get there, most people seem to have gone to bed!! Anyway, I do read all the posts when I finally get there.

Hello Greg - Thanks for looking at my pictures. We had so much fun in Virginia this summer. I didn't want to come home. We have no definite future plans of moving. The economy is very bad here in Michigan and we are a little hesitant about putting our house on the market. The music down there is just incredible. I didn't play on stage at the Blue Ridge Music Center, but I did get to meet and play with the "Buck Mountain Band!" That was very exciting for me. I played my mountain dulcimer with them. I have a long way to go! Especially on the fiddle. I need to improve my speed! I also started Dobro lessons.

The countryside is so beautiful down there. Words can't describe it. It is breathe taking to see the sun come up or set in the mountains.

The southeastern United States is in a severe drought. It heat has been in the triple digits this summer and no rain. We were in North Carolina several times and they had it worse than Virginia. (Our property is 2 miles north of North Carolina.)

Are you having a warm Fall up there in Ottawa? Our trees are changing, but them seem slower to change this year.

Hello again Greg - Many thanks for your good wishes for Liz today. I have heard from the doctor who did the surgery. He actually rang me on my mobile (amazed shock) !!!! All went well and she is fine. I have put a long saga about it all on My Page. Cheers.

Yes, Stella is a treasure! extra-small Shih Tzu, so small enough to put in a shoulder bag, and her joy is unbounded when I go visit my daughter - Stella always makes sure she gets her hugs first!

Hi Greg, Actually I suspect that I did, in fact, forget to post a comment. I can remember the odd occasion then I have clicked the 'Submit' button only to watch my photo disappear without a comment. No matter what I do I can't suck it back to add the comment. It is fairly frustrating. On this occasion I think the fault was mine.
However, we do seem to be getting a lot of repeats lately. I don't complain because a lot of them are mine, but there must be a huge backlog of photos waiting somewhere. I'm glad it isn't my job to sort out the mess.

If you fancy something savoury you can't go past this country girls home made sausage rolls with homemade tomatoe sauce [not of this bought ketchup rubbish - only the best for friends].
