I was in country China basically seeing the old China but with lots of glimpses of the developing China. Quite impressive on both counts.

I am still around and do the puzzles but it seems that my times that I am around do not correspond with those that I know from the site. I really do miss this place but hopefully I can get back on here for a little bit while I recover from knee replacement surgery as I will be off work for 8-10 weeks.

I've actually never been away from the site. Sadly, it's become almost an obsession. I hit it right at changeover (5 am here, at this time of year) and race to get the four sudokus done before Linda once again becomes aware of my existence. Thus, in that panic, I rarely pause to comment. This morning's photo prize, however, was so arresting, I just couldn't help myself. But thank you for noticing and touching base. And please let me wish you and yours a most wonderful holiday season!
