Thanks for making it all the way down to Canberra to wish me happy birthday Linda! It'll be a hot one donw here today, with 39 expected, so I won't be getting up to much (maybe go to an airconditioned shopping centre for some retail therapy!)

Sorry Linda that I got in & thanked you for my birthday wishes before you sent them but I got a few emails this morning from Sudoku friends & when I went in to thank them your name came up, not looking at the year, I replied & have now found out that your wishes were last years, What a difference a year makes. When I keyed in ''Grasshopper'' in Members nothing came up. I tried again - still nothing. So I keyed in Qld - and THERE YOU WERE - Grass-hopper. What a difference a little hyphen makes !

You've probably read this, but I'm on a roll.....
This is copy & paste message about the Sudoku Easy Jigsaw Problems:
They went wild after one of Gath's changes. If you go back in the beginning (15th May 2005) & check the photos in the archives you'll find that the only jigsaw is the torso in the black jumper with the white coffee cup, you'll find that photo as the jigsaw on every Easy Sudoku page up till the 12th of January this year. I did comment on this earlier this year, but I'm usually commenting when no one's around!!!
I'd say the photos we're getting are the ones from the Easy pages that don't have a home any more! And the off sized ones are possibly the very early reward photos for finishing the Sudoku!
So I think we just have to accept that the Easy Sudoku jigsaw is going to too big or very small, more frequently than being a good size!!

Our spring is just beginning; the extensive lilac collection will have its Festival in just about a month ...maybe, if it ever starts being spring-like in weather and not just a meteorological expectation! Rochester really should be called 'Festival City' since once the Lilac Festival is over, there are festivals every weekend through October!
