Some left when Gath gave out personal pages and more left when there was a requirement to sign in. It's a shame, but some have found other outlets on the internet. Deb, my sentiments exactly! At different times we enjoy/need/want different things and this site is wonderful. I have been posting for years but not always regularly and I expect one day to run out of time to be here as much as I'd like.... There are some wonderful people here, even though sometimes the wonderful people are different to the ones that were here last year.

I think you hit the nail on the head, Deb... This site has been important to many people, but people come & go as their lives dictate.
The Old Geezers may wish for old friends and the old conversations, but this is an "evolving format"... It is "owned" by those who are currently posting. People can change it by leaving just as much as new people posting.
If the Old Geezers haven't posted for a while but still want the old ambience, then they'll need to start posting again and it MAY evolve back to the familiar. Who knows?
I can understand how the Old Geezers must feel since one DOES start to think of all those who post regularly with you as "good friends you've never met" and have felt their posts an important part of your day, but the Newbies shouldn't be made to feel wanting because their conversations are different from the Old Geezers.

SA is only an extension of the easy page(we vent and grieve and support each other but are always positive), we chat to each other not necessarily at the same time, but we care about each other as friends. Pop in anytime, you are always welcome.
