Isn't it funny how someone else's son, who we don't even know from Adam, being very clever and making his Mum so proud, is something that every other mother of a son understands so well! Congratulations to Robert, but you know we're actually so happy for you!! MY Son!!!

Rolanda, congratulations on Robert's great success! Isn't it lovely to have somewhere to boast! He must be an incredibly intelligent young man - wish I understood just the title of his work! Good luck on the next step.

Rolanda, the sweater is for my niece's son who lives out there. It will be big for him right now but will be good for your winter. I'm knitting one for his sister now. They are coming over to England in December until after the New Year.
The beach at Swanage (sout coast) is sand, though you are correct in saying that they are mainly pebbles on the south and south east coast. The area I come from originally (way up north) has glorious beaches but unfortunately we do not get the same weather as down south. We usually say it is two top coats colder up there and the sea is freezing.
Hope you have a great time away in your caravan.

Hi Rola!
About those ornaments...;) If you go to www.mccormick.com and click on 'recipes', put 'cinnamon ornaments' in the search, then click on that, you will find two different ways to make them. I've never tried baking them or used the plastic wrap and mine have always turned out fine.
The plastic wrap may actually be a good idea. It would keep the dough from sticking to the rolling pin.
p.s. If you have a dog, don't hang them at the bottom of the tree. I learned my lesson! lol

So sorry, Rolanda, to hear about your Tante Rei. I hope she had a peaceful journey home where all her old friends will greet her and happy memories will return. My mother-in-law has Alzheimers as well, and all we can do is make sure she is nourished, comfortable and loved. It is the longest good-bye. Sending you my warmest wishes ...

Rolanda, so sorry to hear about your aunt.
Even though shemay have been in a world of her own (I hope it is a nice one) it is still sad when we lose a life of a loved one, A time to reminisce about the good things you remember.

Rolanda, put some of the weight you're bearing on my shoulders. Wish I lived around the corner so I could be of more support, but know that you and your mom and all those who will care for her today are in my prayers. Thinking of you all and wishing you strength and peace as you journey through this time.

Hi Rola! Hope your mum gets better! My prayers will include her quick recovery and the return of your sanity! You're going to need the latter as you help your mum in the days to come. Our parents as demanding as they are, are so precious to us so we give of ourselves for their welfare even though our schedules are already loaded! So take care my friend and make sure you take care of yourself along with your mum!
