Hubby's Aunt was going blind due to macular degeneration and was on oxygen, but had a visitor about an hour before she passed. The visitor hadn't noticed and change or worsening. In a matter of minutes she went from seeming a little disoriented & staff called her sister to notify her that they were going to call an ambulance - to not needing the ambulance. Luckily, even though she lived nearly half a continent away, hubby & his 2 cousins had visited her in April near or on her birthday.

Thanks for the heads up. Supposedly 20 and sunny in Hobart tomorrow. I'll miss the one decent day of spring.
Fortunately the Canine centre has very good indoor judging facilities if it's wet. Apparently quite a few breed club are having shows on Sunday, so there will be a few people there. The Chi Club is running 2 shows. I'm judging in the morning and get to sit and watch the afternoon show hopefully with a nice
glass of Margaret river white -is there a good pinot Grigio? Then 2 valium to sleep all the way back to Melbourne.
Watching Gloucester Park trots and weather doesn't sseem too flash.

Although short, my visit was very enjoyable. Two very late nights, many glasses of Margaret River wine and no drowned Chihuahuas. Also more importantly no disgruntled exhibitors punched me on the nose.
Was amazed at how few passengers were on Perth/Melbourne segments. The WA tourist spots must be suffering. Had four seats to myself on the way home. Still went straight to bed when I got home yesterday.
The weather was terrific for dog showing, too hot is always a problem.

Hey Rolanda, am reduced to communicating via this site as have lost my computer, address book etc. Back all fixed tomorrow, though it's been a loooong slow 10 days. One of the best things about NO DS is that the changeover occurs at 9pm not 10pm...Yay!!!!!!That and the lovely sunny mornings!!!!!

Back to winter this weekend unfortunately. Still the past few days have been brilliant. Spring is sprung!
