Hello Ray - I loved your poem about Machu Picchu. Have you ever had the pleasure of going there? I've been to a few amazing places but that is by far the most wonderful experience I've ever had. I have some more photos in Flickr of my trip there and I had a series of them on "hard" sudoku a couple of weeks after I had been there last year.

If the portrait was a poem picturized, your poem picturize the portrait, perfectly. They indeed complement each other!.Great work Rayray. As I have declared before, you do make me take the poems seriously!.Keep up the good work.

Gday Rayray, sounds like you're having a rough time of it mate. Just popping in with a quick cyber hug and an Aussie pat on the back. She'll be right, mate. Stay in 'touch' with this mad lot, that'll help!

Hello Rayray

Had a moment and thought I would check out your page. You are wonderful entertainment and a great way to see different views.

Your nieghbor seems nerve wracking I do not live there and she is getting on my nerves. Seems like there is something you could do to make living in your building more pleasant. Do other nieghbors hear her?

Thank you for all your enjoyable reads and see you in the easy room.

I'm way off course.
I actually decided to check out the North Pole and see what Santa was up too but I'm obviously just a tad off course if I'm shaking up the Winward Islands. Don't want to pop up there - my French isn't very good.
Would you like me to put in a good word for you with Santa [and maybe suggest he drop off a rattlesnake for your most unpleasant neighbor]? Before you ask - of course I believe in Santa - 'THOSE WHO BELIEVE RECEIVE'!

Rayray thanks for dropping by, there is nothing wrong with a bit of clutter, looks 'lived in' and comfortable. Thanks for the compliment, we do spend a lot of time in the garden, we have the weather for it! Been making truffles this pm so am sick of the sight of cholcolate, cream etc. What are you planning for Christmas, you are not alone are you?

Thanks for the pressie - I have a system of "discipline" that is quite effective. I study a martial art and if anyone is really, um, disagreeable in class I imagine giving them a good swift kick in the head - front snap kick is very effective. It makes me smile every time and the student, bless his / her little heart, doesn't have a clue his / her head has just flown across the room and hit the wall opposite. (SHHH don't tell - sounds very unprofessional)

Rayray, I was so tired, so braindead that trying to read your offering of today was similar to drunkenly weaving through an obstacle course! I ended up with a huge smile on my face and a feeling of lightness that raised my spirits.

Rayray, If Jane is 18 Mos younger than you, does that mean you were born on March 1940? If so we share the same month and year. Thankyou for the poems.

Your presentation of the poems is excellent. You may end up with a book out of this yet. I loved the Six-shooter when you first posted it & of course the Winter Shephard. Some great memories of your work. Keep it up - you definetly the SPL. Your works appreciated by a world wide audience.

Hi RayRay, yes that Dec 8 pix of Bodie Island lighthouse is mine. Hubby or I took it 2 years ago when we spent so much time in NC. this last year has been spent in Louisiana and now we have just moved back home again in Indiana.(can you hear the music??) That's why I have been off for about 3 weeks. i'm probably considered a little "off", but I meant off this site. lol.

i loved the lighthouse poem and you definitely have my permission to post whatever you wish related to the picture. i'd like to catch up on the pictures and postings for the last few weeks but i'm not sure that is really gonna happen since i'm still unpacking boxes. it's gonna take me a long time to get organized again! oh well, i hope that time is one thing i have! lol.
thanks for asking and thanks for the poem and for visiting my page. y'all come back anytime.

Hi Rayray, Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed our little convo the other night and wish it had started a little earlier so I wouldn't have had to leave it quite as soon. Hope things are better with you and your nemesis and your back. Thanks again for sharing your poetry gifts for us to enjoy. They seem to have affected many on the site.

you are right - the lighthouse on the Outer Banks are mostly black and white and very well maintained. (Okracoke - Blackbeard's hangout is all white and very short, still well maintained) one of my goals was to get pictures of all the lighthouses along there. Outer Banks is strips, Hatteras is diagonal stripes and Lookout is diamonds. really quite cool. Lookout is on an island and we saw it from a beach thru the zoom lens not up close. still cool.
i read some of your poems on your page and really enjoyed them. so glad someone has that ability! thanks!
later.

Hi Rayray! Thanks for wishing me happy birthday back on Dec. 4. I haven't been on the site much since my party on my page Dec. 5., but I did happen to catch your question about Kathy of Oklahoma. I noticed that there was another Kathy besides Kathy of MD & Kathy of FL, but I don't think the OK Kathy is a Member. I did ask you on Easy about when your birthday is, but I see on your page that she has her guess narrowed down to the same month & year as her maybe??? So are you gonna tell us?? You can send me a Private Message if you don't want to go public!!!

Getting back to the earlier discussion, the day has passed into night and my temperament has cooled somewhat. Had a nice dinner out with friends with an outstanding jazz combo in the background and the soapbox all but forgotten. While I had my steam up about the subject, the open forum would have been the place to continue. I have some very strong opinions in and around that subject area and am not afraid to use them. The downside to that is that nobody really wants to hear them and pariah status is always near at hand. But, never the less, all this PC bull crap just wears me out.

Hi, Rayray! Just got your message from last night regarding posting the Korma recipe. I see you found the recipe page, so I am printing out your recipe and will try it out after the holidays. Thanks for sharing! I've got two dinner parties (tonight and Friday) that I'm preparing for. Tonight I'll serve the chicken in chianti with grilled veggies and a rustic antipasto salad, and Friday I'm making two kinds of cannelloni (Italian sausage with a classic marinara sauce and mushrooms with an Alfredo sauce), using crepes for the cannelloni. I didn't consciously plan to go Italian for both dinners, but it just happened! Again, have a wonderful Christmas!
