Hi Rayray, from your posts I wouldn't expect anything expect honesty and directness from you!! I have a few reasons for training to be a teacher at my age, one of which is a degree that has become useless because I stayed home to look after my kids, the other is the portability of the qualification if hubby and I want to move around a bit once the kids are old enough. Mind you, that's a few years away, they are only 14 and 11..... I am hoping for the best, while recognising that it isn't going to be a walk in the park.

Rayray. I hope your energy picks up adn with it your wit. I call those sorts of days my non-days since nothing happens and I am forced to rest. Biggest problem is my impatient mind, but then it was much worse before I discovered Buddhism, so maybe I have learnt something after all.

Hi Rayray! Sorry I didn't read your post until this morning (here in the U.S., Wed. 16th, 10:45AM) We've certainly had our problems in Sudokuland, haven't we? I'm sure our intrepid leader will have us up and running normally soon.
Have you not been feeling well? Please take care of yourself. We need you and your wonderful postings daily!

Hi Rayray. Thank you for your comments on my feeble and quick attepts at poetry. I am curious though as to your constant reference to 'kitchen routines.' Why is it you are required to take turns to cook? If you have previously explianed this, I apologize, but obviously I haven't seen anything. Take care and stay smiling!

Rayray, got home and found your e-mail. When you get a chance, read my post at the bottom of page 7. Maybe you can define further this feeling of abandonment!
I feel that you can do the theme justice poetically! Anyway I'm still looking to see how I can help with the bl%^*&@dy flashdrive problem. When my "yuppy" son gets home from his Vermont skiing vacation, I'll ask him.

Been trying to thank you for posting the New Years Poem back, but every time the site was down.
But really, was it only in my imagination that you had this forbidden farmyard fowl in your original picture? Or am I going even more mad than I thought???

Rayray, I'm pleased you could use my sheep smilies. I had a lovely Christmas one, but it has gone to the big paddock in the sky, with all the other AWOL smilies and avatars

Hi Rayray - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
My blokes (hubby and 2 sons) decided we should reformat the computer over Xmas. I nearly have heart failure when they do that. It all worked out, but there were those tense moments when we realised not all drivers had loaded and things wouldn't work - I felt so relieved when I found sudokuland again, and reloaded all my files (the majority of which are work related and my life blood).
Cheers, Martha

Rayray - No. It just seems that when you were writing poetry about the sheep, you were not experianceing all that is currently befalling you. So if writting about sheep stop's it then the sheep will be telling you something. - I don't know what - but something - that you will have to work out with the sheep.

I tried to send you a message in your in-box but the site won't let me. Keeps telling that the message must be 1-100 characters long. Oh well.
I'm still trying to get my sons to let me know which flash drive will give you the least problems. Sorry it's taking so long. One's seems to be on duty when I try to call and the other just got back from vacation and now is contending with leaks on his roof with this rarety we call rain. At least I think that's what the wet stuff is!

When you said the second design - are you referring to the Butterfly Map. Personally - I believe that it is more inventive and artistic presentation of a map of the world. However, it is probably not recognized as a depiction of the world.

I read today that you need some assistance with smilies etc., if you check the forum pages, under Questions about this Site, you should find a page I set up a while ago, headed, Members Special Featurs Help and Info Page. My instructions on how I make my avatars are in there. If you need any more help just ask.

Ray,
You never cease to make me think. Your latest, Fly in the Soup, was one I thought was going to be light like your sheep poems but a third of the way in, you go into the profound. Had to read over and over to get the full flavor of the poem. Maybe I'm reading more into it than what you intended but I sat affected by it.

Rayray, left my comment on "Fly" in your Gallery. Do you ever allow your brain to rest? Seems to me it must be in constant production. You are quite amazing!

Rayray - Your latest poem is spectacular. How you find a way to set to rhyme such intricate thoughts is a mystery to me. Most of us (me, for one!) who dabble in poetry on the site play with words - not with profundities. And that's the difference between the master and his students!

Rayray, please don't think that my comment today was aimed at you - nothing could be further from the truth. Yesterday I had some trouble trying to distinguish which comments were for me and which were for Ian/Boston and I made up my mind to say something this morning. Unfortunately you got caught in the crossfire. Please forgive me.

Hi rayray! I stopped by to thank you for the birthday wishes!
While I'm here, may I tell you how much I enjoyed the Jack Frost poem? I think it was GMo that was saying how her family would make up stories about the frost. Mine did the same thing! My grandmother was especially clever with her stories. Thanks for bringing back the wonderful memories!

Hi Rayray - I noticed yesterday that you mentioned the cost of cigarettes going up to 10 pound in the UK. Surely that is preposterous? How much are they now? We pay about AU$12 for a pack of 30 and we think that is bad enough.
