I just got around to reading the posts from yesterday. Sorry I missed commenting on you poem - getting deep there. Got to thinik about todays some more. BTW: Your quick write on the flamingo fleece was good & I have to tell Anne what a great photo. I would have thought that it was a sunset rather than a sunrise.

Rayray, I just went through your poems and found I had somehow missed "Enigma". Your insight is amazing! "The course of life ideas may sort; but confusion we don't lose". Wonderful! You have such talent. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hi there RayRay, Thanks for visitng my page a while back. I love your poetic quilt. Yorks to East Sussex is quite a way... How do you travel? I lived just south of Hailsham for a coupld of months in 2001. I used to walk at every chance I could and explored the right of ways and the roads and walked one day into Pevensey fro a beer. It was a very happy couple of months for me- a great growning time too.

MOT testing in NT still exists... but the long hand of the law can't quite reach some of the more outlying communities. :)

So do you still maintain your Jordy accent?

The Greek Independence Day is celebrating Greece's liberation from the Ottoman domination the 25th of March 1821.
It is also one of the holiest days for Greek Orthodox Christians, the Annunciation of the Theotokos. This is the day that the Archangel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would bear a child. It also happens to be my "Name Day".
Most of the Greeks owe their names to a religious saint. A very important Greek tradition that takes place in the entire Greek community, everyone who has a name coming from a saint celebrated by the church celebrates his name on a given day. In Greece, name days are more important than birthdays.
There, hope that sort of helps you understand how special this day is to me
