Hello Stella, its been a while since I've dropped in to say G'day. I have been very busy lately and today has been the first day I've had in a long while to play on site. Your photo gallery is amazing. Have you considered submitting some of the snow photos on site, they would make great jigsaw puzzles.
I hope all is well in your side of the world and I look forward to being able to catch up with you again soon, I'll even try the SA pages again.
Cheers

It's a small world isn't it Stella. It's my hubby's birthday tomorrow.
Are you planning anything for your hubby's big five-o?
ps Haven't had a chance to read HP#7 yet, I'm way down on the ladder, I'm just the person who bought it!

Hello Stella, Thanks for dropping by with the lovely flowers. Sorry for the late reply but don't call by very often. I come bearing a gift of homemade rumballs. Like your poem except for the 'warm' tea bit(ugh) - love tea but unless it's hot..! Didn't think Americans drank much tea unless it was herbal? My daughter was in the US a couple of years ago and her main complaint was that she couldn't get a decent cuppa. All the best, Giblet

Thanks Stella. I hope your hubby had a great day too. Nothing better than a bottle of bubbly to help a celebration. I have left you a bit of Black Forest cake to enjoy and say to your hubby from a fellow Leo!!!

to Jerry! Most of the messages for him were on Easy so I thought I'd be different & leave one here. So it's the big 50, huh! Hope he has time for some fun during the trip to take your son to college. I have looked at your pictures & can't figure out which daughter is old enough to go to college, too?? Maybe they are pictures from awhile back? Anyway, you have a lovely family. Hope you have safe travels the next couple weeks.

Hi Stella
Thanks for visiting my page. Gives me a wonderful excuse to avoid my assignment! Please pass on my birthday wishes to Jerry. My hubby is 52 but our younguns are only 14 and 11 - just over 4 years until the eldest finishes high school, just over 7 years for the youngest.... Every now and then hubby does the calculation of how old he'll be before they finish school and college, and sighs. I tell him to take heart in the fact that he will retire first and can enjoy having me look after him for a while...

for your birthday wishes for James. We will be having a family dinner tonight and a party for him and his friends sometime in the future. 18 has taken over what 21 was when I was younger - big celebrations etc. Now all he has to do is mature enough to match his adulthood

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes last week. I had dinner with Mom that evening. She then flew up to Portland, OR for a Class Reunion (68th) and flew back for the wedding on Saturday of her only grand-nephew (my cousin’s son – 41, first marriage). Mom (85) refused to take a nap after getting up at 3 am for the flight back and insisted on driving (through Los Angeles to Orange County) for the wedding – she still drives fast. By the time we got to there we were not speaking & the drive back was even worse – getting home around midnight. The wedding & reception was wonderful (so was the beach party the night before, which Mom had missed). Dad always said the reason we fight, was because we are so much alike – both strong willed women. But, we will always love each other. I left Tuesday, had a meeting in No. Calif. Wednesday afternoon, and decided to camp at Burney Falls State Park – making my dog happy, before returning home. The back is still bothering me – but no violent pains – more of the gnawing variety and when standing up after sitting too long (so there were a lot of stops on the way down and on the way home). Thanks for the good wishes – I’m safe if not sound.

Thanks for your thoughts. Pain gets less every day and winter is about to pass into spring. My big project for the day is to see if I can get down the track onto the beach, and even if I can't we have a lookout where I can sit in the sun and Merlin can sniff around for rabbits.

Hi, Stella! I haven't been able to spend much time at SA3 lately, and the next 2 weeks will be away from a computer. As I suffer my withdrawal symptoms, I'll be thinking of you and all the other SA regulars. I hope you'll be able to stay a bit cooler, and the migraine disappears completely. Good luck with getting your children each to their respective school. Just think, it will "almost" be fall by the time I can post again. Take care, and I hope to "see" you again soon!

Hey Stella, thanks so much for the good wishes! I am indeed a very lucky woman, married to the best man ever! Just love your pictures of the snow - living in Africa I have only seen snow 4 times in my life. Once in South Africa in 1981 - freaky wheather, then in Europe a couple of times. We are not equipped to have extreme conditions like that - I remember way back in 1981, the whole country almost came to a standstill! I leave you now with some and a bottle of SPIER Chenin Blanc from South Africa! Take care

G'day Stella. Going by the comment above from Shelley, you have been busy today sending out words of support, just as you sent me yesterday. This is what is so wonderful about this fantastic website. The members are just so special and caring. Thanks so much for your concern and good wishes. Today I am coping much better but tomorrow will be hard again as it would have been my husband's birthday, but now I know I'll get through it and if I'm struggling all I have to do is send out an S.O.S.

Hi Stella, thanks for dropping by my page.
I would live at a beach if I could. But I am stuck in the midwest in central Ohio so I try to take the family on beach vacations whenever we get a chance! I am enjoying the sudoku and the posts (esp. the poetry and jokes!) This is a fun place!

Hi, Stella! Thanks for dropping by. I'm glad you were able to see your Mom and brother/sister/ family before their move. I hope Brendan had a great 18th birthday!

I'm really trying to get caught up on the Easy Archives and here on SA3. We aren't supposed to be back. We had arranged to do a land tour in Europe (our first and probably only trip to Europe). Within about 7 hours of arriving at the first hotel, hubby was in the hospital with either bleeding ulcers, ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. Hospital wanted him to stay for another week as they awaited results of biopsies/tests. We had trip insurance, which made arrangements for our return home, so hospital released him on the 4th day. No tour, no yummies in Vienna, no photos or even picture postcards - just 2 meals of mashed potatoes & pureed carrots, and a breakfast of 2 slices of white bread with cream cheese. Bleeding stopped the morning of second day, so no longer "Emergency" and will need to wait weeks/months to see a doctor at home. Hubby feels reasonably well now, but since he had no symptoms before this, we're a little nervous about the whole situation - and wondering what he should be eating.
