Hi, Stella! I'm just popping in to see how things are in your QUIET house! Wow - going from 4 to 1 in a matter of a week or 2 must have been shocking. Hope D#1, S #1 (Brendan), D#2, and S#2 ("Max") are ALL doing well! Hope D#2 continues making friends and enjoys her new school!

Thanks for your concern & prayers for hubby! He has had no more bleeding since the episode in Vienna, though we have been unable to get results of the biopsy (to check for some virus suspected of causing the problem) done there. Since we returned home, he had a bad attack of gout (his first), which the ER doctor said was the result of some of the medications he takes and the 2 units of blood that he received in Vienna. The pain & swelling are slowly subsiding. Maybe someday we will get to Europe and actually something other than the inside of a hospital.

It's too bad you didn't have the weather that we had here today - a late summer day, blue sky, no clouds, a light breeze. It was glorious. When it gets to you, just pretend it's your anniversary all over again - maybe find a little sidewalk cafe. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these flowers and fresh cinnamon rolls.

Gday Stella, I've been thinking about you saying you'd contacted Gath about how he put those pics up on his page. Have you ever thought of asking MizT? She has the piccy of the basket of peaches that is permanent, but not Flickr or gallery. Just a thought because I've often wondered how she did that and another thing about her page, why is it so big?!

Stella I did read the message about the apple. Laura does eat a lot of apple and when I was young grated apple was often given after a tummy upset so there could be something in the old fashioned remedies.

At times, my energy flags and my patience with certain annoying people falters, but generally, I'm doing well and maintaining a sense of humour. Hi Stella, thanks for your birthday wishes. It was wonderful to receive so many messages from people on my birthday, it really did brighten up my day. We went out for dinner, hubby & I, so that he didn't have to cook (but more to the point so that I didn't have to wash up) and had a lovely evening.
The studies are going well (keeping me busy) and would you believe it, there are only a few weeks to go. So soon I will be able to join you again on SA3. I miss all of you as well.

Stella, if you hadn't coaxed me to get my own page, I wouldn't have amassed nearly the same support during these dark days. I so appreciate the kind words, thoughtfulness and prayers from all my friends from near and far, and such a generous outpouring of affection and caring is so moving. While there is a large hole in my heart, others are moving in to help with the healing. I'm more grateful than I can tell you.

Thanks, Stella, we are going to see Niagra Falls. We also will see Quebec City and then ride the Canadian rails back to Vancouver, and fly home from there. We're really looking forward to it. It should be a fun trip.

it has been only the last couple of years that hubby and I are able to go away together and no kiddywinks, once the boys got old enough to be on their own for any length of time..
Your time will come, once young 'Max' is old enough to be left behind.. ( umm 'Max' is the youngest right ?)

Hi Stella! Thank you for the flowers you left on my table in June! We were in upstate NY all summer and computer was is the "business center" so I didn't spend much time there. We drove near you on the way from Albany to New Hampshire. We were in Rochester where about 5 years ago all the businesses bought horses like on your site for charity and decorated them as per the business. It was really fun to see horses all around the city. Many are still there. Hope you are having a beautiful autumn. It is finally cooling down here in Fla. "Talk" to you soon!

Thanks also for your your wishes for her. Today will be a fairly quiet day, we went out last night for the family celebration and I believe she is going out tonight with friends. She goes for her driver's license on Tuesday. I think that will be her best present ever.

Weetabix is a breakfast cereal of shredded wheat formed into a brick shape about 8cm x 4cm x 2cm. Very crumbly.
