To Be Six Again!!
You really have to give this guy an A+ for effort.
George was a thoughtful husband. He wanted to give his wife something special for her birthday which was coming up soon. As he sat on the edge of the bed, he watched his wife turning back and forth and looking at herself in the mirror. "Reta," he said, "What would you like for your birthday?"

His wife continued to look at herself and said, "I'd like to be six again."

George knew just what to do. On the big day, he got up early and made his wife a bowl of Fruit Loops. Then he took her to an amusement park where they rode all the rides. Five hours later, Reta's stomach felt upside down and her head was reeling. Never the less, George took her to McDonald's and bought her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake. Next, it was a movie with popcorn, soda and her favorite candy.

As Reta wobbled into the house that evening and flopped on the bed, George asked her, "Well, Dear, what was it like to be six again?"

Reta looked up at him. Her expression changed. She said, "I meant my dress size!"
Happy birthday

Hi Mo! I was so happy to find your comment today. Thought I would reply on your page instead of on Easy since I am sure you do not have time to read all comments these days! Glad Houpette continues to fight the good fight - what a little trooper she is. And you too! Hang in there, keep smiling, & keep warm & healthy. XO

Hi Mo. Seeing you back on the site makes me want to ask if you and Steve are now settled in your new home. If you have already mentioned this on the site, forgive my asking, but I've been hit and miss lately. Hope all is well and that Hopette and Sammi are adjusting to the new digs. Cheers my friend!

Hi, GannieMo! Was curious about the photos you mentioned so wound up in your Flickr pages. What an awesome bunch of lovely photos -- beautiful work! Of course I was enchanted with both the cat and the dog. But also, having worked for highway engineers for 25 years or so, I was smitten with the Viaduc de Millau! What a marvelous piece of architecture. Thanks for the something new I learned today. When you have the time, you must tell me more about the pets too, OK? Judy
PS: Great photo of you and Fi -- such beautiful women!

Hello GannieMo! I just looked through your Gallery and very much enjoyed the Bordeaux photos - I have only driven through it briefly, but thought it was a stately old city. We stayed on the coast (my husband, Bill, and I) and drove around the coast and also the vineyard areas - very beautiful! I am wanting to return to Southwest France - to Langue D'oc - as that is where my Huguenot ancestors originated (my cousins, currently working on family genealogy, didn't know anything about this, so I am proposing a family trip there. I did work (I do international volunteering occasionally) in St. Victor, just over in Provence, but didn't get to travel as I had to move on to Italy. But I digress! Bill and I loved your area of France, and I'd like to get back somehow (Bill died six years ago). Bill and I stayed in small hotels and B & B's (I speak enough French to get by o.k.), and we always enjoyed getting to know the countryside of areas we visited. Enjoy Bordeaux, and I hope you settle in soon!

Hi Mo! I'm slowly catching up on Sudoku after our long trip. Thank you for your birthday greeting on Dec. 4. I had a wonderful day which began when we watched the sun rise at Angkor Wat in Cambodia - unforgettable! I have posted only one picture of our trip on my page so far, but I will try to whittle down the thousands of pictures we took to just our favorites & post them on Flickr as soon as I can find time. Meanwhile, Rob & I would like to wish you & Steve a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. It will be 2009 before we know it!
