Mo, this beautiful photo is a wonderful tribute to your beautiful dog, Houpette. I am SO sorry to hear that she took a turn for the worse. I am so glad she was in such good hands with the vet and didn't needlessly suffer. My heart is heavy thinking about each time I have said goodbye to a beautiful faithful friend...thankfully I have so many wonderful memories as I'm sure you do as well.
Houpette.

I am so, so sorry to hear about Houpette, Mo. It is amazing how much our little four-legged friends mean to us. At least you were able to enjoy her company for a long time, and Houpette was a very fortunate little dog to have been a part of your loving family. ♥Jane

Mo - so very sorry to hear that you lost Houpette. I can empathise as we went through the same thing, with a dog just as old, a few years ago and we were shattered.
Go and sit on your G&T terrace this evening and drink a toast to her and the love and loyalty given and received.
Lovely photo on your page.

Thinking of you
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

GannieMo, what sad news about Houpette. My eyes are teary just looking at the lovely photograph you've put on your page. I know the pain of losing a precious friend, and my thoughts and prayers go out to you on such a sad time. Your beloved friend is receiving a warm welcome from my cats Sherlock, Watson, and Moriarty who have also been called home; Houpette will have many caring playmates. May memories of friskier times sustain you in the days ahead, and know that you were a loving and caring friend to your precious pet. Blessings.

So, so sorry to read your sad news. You & Steve are in my prayers, tonight. I have read the Rainbow Bridge poem, before, and would like to think it's true, but if it is there will be so, so many of our friends to greet Houpette! And I am sure they will know. Peace be with you both.

Had not checked Sudoku at all today until now, just before going to bed. I was SO sorry to read of the death of your dear little friend Houpette. So many times in the past you have helped nurse her through medical problems, but this time you bravely let her go so that she would have not have to endure her suffering any longer. That was, of course, the right thing to do, but I know how terribly much you will miss her. I hope you will be comforted by knowing that you were as good a friend to her as she was to you. Both Rob & I send our very sincere sympathy to you & Steve & to Sammi, her feline friend who also will miss her.

Mo, Please know that I understand what you are going through and am sending you a big hug to try to ease the pain just a bit.
Houpette, like all well loved companions has earned his rest...and he will be waiting to rejoin you and Steve when that time arrives...meanwhile, he'll make sure that all will be to your liking and a new experience will be opened to all of you.
May the memories sustain you as you deal with the bitter taste you have encountered for now. Peace and love...

So glad you're up and about today for your luncheon! You really, really worried me. Perhaps you should take Heidi's advice and have your car checked for carbon monoxide. You know, the community we forge here in Sudokuland cuts both ways, and sometimes you'll find a "stranger" nagging you to be careful.

What a treat to listen to your You Tube Mo. Isn't it amazing that someone with such a beautiful voice should go so long in obscurity and not have been noticed before? Her talent should be shared with the world.

Hi Gannie Mo,
I was not up all night writing the verse - but very nearly. My hard-won sleep pattern has been seemingly irreversibly damaged, so I fill my time accordingly. I don't think my output is quite so good under such circumstances but it is better than nothing. I'm glad you liked that verse contrasting Mules with Orchids. It's OK from the technical point of view I suppose, but somehow, to me, it does not flow too well yet, but maybe I can edit it into shape. That task is worthwhile from your positive comment. Thanks,
Ray(ray)

Hi Mo, got any suggestions for black spot on roses? It seems I get it every year. First year tried a spray application to the leaves. Next I tried a systemic stuff that is supposed to fight bugs, disease and fertilize. I do try to clean up fallen leaves and discard them (not in the compost heap). But every year I still get it.
