Mo, I hope you had a lovely dinner last night, I know I certainly had a hoot in the chatroom, hope it put you in a fun-loving mood (or is that love-funning?).
Meant to pop in yesterday to wish your son a very . Hope he had a great day.
Also, I tried out his website this morning, and BINGO, up it popped, first time. Must have been a server problem in Aus. Place looks great, will study it in detail when I come back tonight, cos I'm not really here, ok. SHHHH!

Hi Mo,
haven't dropped bye for a while and today seems a fitting time!
It was great to catch up in the chat room last night and I was so pleased to see that you continued on the roll.......have only got to page 4 on easy and you are certainly making your prescence felt.
You will no doubt have been out 'razzle dazzle'ing' and celebrating by the time you get this and so I hope you kicked up a storm and had a great time.
Gotta say - WOW, WOW, WOW!! Have just trolled thru your photostream.....GOBSMACKED with some of your shots. The 'breaking wave' and 'beautiful cloud' are absolutely award winners. I'm seriously impressed. Would love to comment on so many of them but don't have the time - those wretched dust bunnies ara gathering!!! Your photo's of Tassie and SW WA including Albany are beautiful.
This is turning into such a novelette I should prob send you an email!! Pity your roof doesn't have a sign on it saying mo lives here - gorgeous looking village. You really do live in a beautiful part of the world...makes me wonder why I'm living in suburbia.....not long now 'til Lachie finishes school and then who knows..I may end up calling on you just so as you can 'tell me were to go...'[but not in the way we aussies usually mean when we say that!!]. I would like to visit the location of every one of your photos....
Ciao for now

Mo, I have just been having a real good look at that site you gave me. That house looks spectacular. I am thinking it would be a perfect place for a sudoku gathering if ever I get over to WA.
Maybe next time you are over...?

Hi Mo,
Yes, I drive my self crazy doing genealogy. I have got back as far as 1749, coming to America. The problem here is so many of our records were distroyed in the Revolutionary War also the Civil War. I have to confirm some more records on my dads side but think I have them back to England in the 1600's.

Hi, GannieMo! One of my aunts tried to research her parents (my maternal grandparents) and sent her findings to my youngest sister, who has not shared. The same sister tried to do a little with our father's family. One of his cousins had done some work, and supposedly put it in book form. Unfortunately, she and her husband are dead and we have not been able to find the information she had. My husband and I have been working for about 2 years trying to research his father's side. Wars in Eastern Europe have destroyed so many records, but we think we've found some relatives, with whom we hope to meet and share information. The internet has been a huge help! Congratulations to you for finding information back to the mid-1700's! Do you have any suggestions or tips?

I go over and over the census records. Our in the US are available every ten years, so in 2010 the 1940 census (1931-1940) will be available. The problem here is that the 1890's records are almost all gone...due to a fire. It makes is a little hard to track back. Once you get to the early 1800's the records are very vague and you can only guess if the person is really you ancestor. I never joined the Ancestry.uk for the same reason as you with the .com...too costly and I really don't know when my family came over. My father's side has Gilberts, Murrays, and Coulters which are of Irish descent. I'm not sure where Root is derived from. I've been told Ireland, but I think more Germany. It is fun and keeps me out of trouble...a hard thing to do!! I have shared with my cousins though. I've been told also, that our family fought in all the wars, so I'm assuming the family came over very early in America's history. Have fun. If there is anything you would like me to try to check, just let me know.

Hi Mo! Looks like a nice comfy cushion Houpette has to lie on! I think she must be a very pampered pooch. Bet she will miss you lots while you're gone. Bon Voyage on your trip! Hope you enjoy Jersey Boys. Think you may have gone to bed by the time I posted about it last night.
